Saturn and Pluto Have a Friendly Encounter, Venus Enters Taurus and a Full Moon in Libra

 

The last week of March promises to be quite active.  On March 28, Saturn in Aries is forming a supportive sextile to Pluto in 5 degrees of Aquarius. This is a good thing and reflects a vast improvement over the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn that occurred on January 20, 2020 in 22 degrees of Capricorn and is associated with launching the pandemic that put the world in lockdown mode, forever changing the structure of our lives. This sextile is powerful energy for transformation and getting unstuck, both personally and collectively.  Sextiles represent opportunities and we need to be mindful of where these two planets are hitting our charts.  Saturn in Aries asks us to be less rigid in the area of life it is falling while Pluto in Aquarius encourages us to ask for help in that area of life.  Saturn in Aries is in my 6th house and Pluto in Aquarius is in my 4th house.  All I can tell you is that we will be presented with opportunities on this day and in the true nature of sextiles, if we don't take advantage of them, it will be our loss.  If you snooze you lose. Enough said on the matter...

Venus is actually a major player in the upcoming week.  It enters Taurus on March 30 and remains there until April 23.  Venus rules Taurus and Libra, so it is a very happy camper in Taurus.  It is operating at full capacity now.  Venus in Taurus loves to touch, feel, taste and hold.  It is very sensual.  Stability and reliability hold great appeal now. Trust your body and the messages it gives you.  We can be definitely up for creating something lasting in relationships, unlike when Venus was in Aries and we were more into the thrill of the chase.  Venus in Taurus is very security oriented.  Just be mindful that Venus is in the fixed earth sign and compromise  could be more difficult.  That is the shadow side of Venus in Taurus, as well as the tendency to overspend because luxury items are hard to resist now.

Venus is also the ruling planet of the Full Moon in 12 degrees of Libra on April 1. Yes, folks, we have a Full Moon on April Fool's Day, which is also the first day of Passover.  Mark my words, this Full Moon will be focused on relationships, so it can manifest as tensions and the need to find balance. This Full Moon in Libra is also opposing Saturn and Neptune in Aries, as well as the Sun.  The opposition to Saturn can create blockages and the opposition to Neptune can manifest as aggression at sea, deception and problems with oil.  

Peace is a major theme of this Full Moon in Libra, and we can definitely hope for some closure, completion or culmination in the area of life that this Moon falls in your chart.  For me, it is in my 12th house conjunct my Libra Ascendant and squaring my Nodes in Capricorn and Cancer.

The Full Moon in Libra is also squaring Jupiter in Cancer, which can intensify the emotional level and lead to overindulgence (especially with that Venus in Taurus influence)  or overextending ourselves.  Just remember that all of the planets are direct until May 6, when Pluto stations retrograde in 5 degrees of Aquarius.  I know that Mercury went direct on March 20, but it doesn't officially clear its retrograde shadow until April 9 and I for one have still been feeling the Mercury retrograde effects this week.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. The Sun Enters Aries and Mercury Goes Direct in Pisces

 

Happy Astrological New Year!  The Sun enters Aries on March 20, marking the start of another astrological new year and the first day of Spring.  With the Sun in the cardinal fire sign of Aries,

we are embarking on a high energy period which encourages us to take action, be more courageous, ambitious, spontaneous and independent.  We are also inclined to be more impulsive, impatient, enthusiastic and competitive.  We can be quite direct now too, which is a marked change from the Sun in Pisces. That mutable water energy was pretty hard to pin down.  Living in the moment is our mantra now.

Mercury is also going direct in 8 degrees of Pisces at 3:33 p.m. after having been retrograde since February 26, when it stationed retrograde in 22 degrees of Pisces.  We can start to experience more clarity, less misunderstandings and problems with transportation.  The Mercury retrograde shadow period began on February 11 and it doesn't fully clear its retrograde shadow until April 9 when it hits 22 degrees of Pisces.

This Mercury retrograde in Pisces has caused a lot of people to deal with water issues.  I had to have a drain replaced in a sink because it was leaking.  I know that other people had roofs leaking and flooding due to the weather.  Another manifestation of Mercury retrograde in Pisces is dreaming about or actually hearing from people in our past.  I have had extremely vivid dreams regarding people from my past and I have been hearing similar stories from clients too. Mercury remains in Pisces until April 14, but we should start to experience some relief.  Just be mindful that it can feel a little unsettling for 2-3 days around the station (either direct or retrograde) of a planet and we will all be fine.

The Sun in Aries is very busy during its first week.  On March 22, the Sun and Neptune are conjunct in 1 degree of Aries.  This aspect has a theme of visionary action with a proactive approach to dreams.  This is actually the first time the Sun and Neptune have been conjunct in Aries since 1862.  The United States was undergoing the Civil War back then.  We might be feeling like we are supposed to start something now.  The Sun, the planet of identity and ego, is merging with Neptune, the planet of dissolution, imagination and transcendence.  This is quite a spiritual cocktail.  In fact, our interest in the spiritual world is bound to be stimulated.  Careful planning to attain our dreams is key.

On March 25, the Sun and Saturn meet up in 4 degrees of Aries.  Be prepared to face extra responsibilities on this day.  We can feel tested and life might feel hard.  The structures in our lives will require attention.  There can also be setbacks or challenges from authority figures when the Sun and Saturn are conjunct.  But this does afford us the opportunity build more self-reliance.  And if we have been working hard, we just might get some rewards for our efforts.  I have this aspect natally in Scorpio in my chart, so I know it well.

The Sun in Aries is also forming a supportive sextile to Pluto in 4 degrees of Aquarius on March 25.  This aspect  increases our need to succeed and empowers us.  Determination and sense of purpose are strong now.  Any obsessive or compulsive tendencies that we have can be chaneled to complete challenging tasks. Energy levels will be high, as is our resilience to bounce back from adversities.  So enjoy the energy transfusion that the Sun in Aries will provide.

Mars Conjunct North Node in Pisces and a New Moon in Pisces

 

We have a big blast of Pisces energy still with us, despite the fact that Venus, Neptune and Saturn are in Aries.  On March 13, (Friday the 13th to boot), Mars and the North Node are conjunct in 8 degrees of Pisces.  This is big, folks, as in a karmic call to destiny.  It's time to meet your future.  Spiritual growth and compassion are motivating factors.  It's time to take some action and embark on a path to your future.  Intuition will be strong as we are drawn to pursue our soul's calling.  Trust those instincts.

Mars conjunct the North Node in Pisces can cause passions to flare, but it can also trigger confusion. so try not to act too impulsively.  Yes, it's important to take some action but try to realize that with all of this mutable water energy, including the Sun in Pisces, our emotions are quite fluid and literally all over the place.  

This day could be very emotional and intense.  Mark my words, it will have a fated quality. The last time that Mars and the North Node were conjunct in Pisces was in April 2007 in 15 degrees of Pisces.  This was a particularly challenging time for me personally.  The conjunction this time will also be happening in my 5th house, but this time around in 8 degrees of Pisces it is trining my South Node in Cancer and sextiling my North Node in Capricorn.  I am hoping for more support on this conjunction in terms of releasing the past and moving forward in a responsible way.  

The New Moon in Pisces occurs on March 18 in 28 degrees of Pisces.  A major theme of this New Moon is releasing and letting go of the past.  We are on the cusp of the astrological New Year, which begins on March 20 when the Sun enters Aries and Mercury goes direct in Pisces.  We are also processing the eclipses of February 17 in Aquarius and March 3 in Virgo. So you are not imagining it if you feel like a part of your life is coming to an end.  Our dreams will be more vivid in Pisces and our intuition is strong.  Just be mindful that the shadow side of Pisces is a tendency towards deception, lies and addiction.  The desire for escapism could be rampant.

What other aspects are in play on this New Moon?  Venus in Aries is squaring Jupiter in 15 degrees of Cancer (finally direct, thank God), which is generally pleasurable, but can lead to overindulgence and unrealistic expectations in relationships.  The Sun and Moon in Pisces will be forming supportive sextiles to Uranus in 28 degrees of Taurus, which can lead to stimulating encounters, pleasant surprises, and innovations that could very well lead to our being healthier and living longer.  Don't be afraid to try something new on this day.  This New Moon in Pisces falls in my 6th house, so I am definitely open to anything that improves my health or daily routines.  Mars in Pisces is also trining Jupiter in Cancer on the New Moon, which should motivate us to act with more compassion and empathy.  Just remember that you are getting the opportunity for a fresh start in whatever area of life by house placement this New Moon occurs, so plant the seeds.

Venus Enters Aries and Jupiter Goes Direct in Cancer

 

Okay, we are still standing after last week's Mars-Uranus square which triggered the bombing of Iran, especially with Mars in Aquarius being the first planet to conjunct the Solar Eclipse in Aquarius of February 17  and this week's Lunar Eclipse in Virgo on March 3.  Now we are about to experience the movement of the two greater benefic planets Venus and Jupiter.

On March 6, 2026 Venus departs its sign of exaltation, Pisces and moves into Aries until March 30. Venus is actually considered to be in detriment in Aries (and Scorpio) because it rules Libra and Taurus, so it is not all that comfortable there.  When Venus is in Aries, there is a strong desire for excitement and a marked lack of patience.  It's all about the thrill of the chase, but the spark can fade quickly.  Spontaneity rules and we can be extremely impulsive.  This pertains to love and money. Be mindful of those two areas in life.

On March 7, Venus and Neptune are conjunct in 1 degree of Aries.  This increases our sensitivity and tendency towards daydreaming.  Fantasizing is very common with this aspect.  If you are single and meet someone new they could feel like a soulmate.  Compassion levels are high when Venus and Neptune merge. But there is also risk of disappointment if you have been in denial about the harsh realities of a toxic relationship.

The Sun and retrograde Mercury are conjunct in 17 degrees of Pisces on March 7 too.  Don't be surprised if you hear from some ghosts on that day.  It could be a friend, foe or ex-lover that reaches out to you on that day and there is the potential for something to be clarified now.  Mercury retrograde is notorious for stirring up people from our past and in the mutable water sign of sentimental Pisces, feelings can be intensified.

On March 8, Venus and Saturn are conjunct in 2 degrees of Aries.  This is a testing aspect and poses a harsh reality check.  Distance, separation and an inability to connect on a meaningful level are all possible manifestations.  Relationships as well as finances could be affected.  But if you do meet someone now it could be someone much older or the relationships could have a very karmic undertone.

Jupiter is finally going direct in 15 degrees of Cancer on March 10.  Jupiter has been retrograde since November 11, 2025 when it backtracked in 25 degrees of Cancer.  I have my natal Jupiter in Cancer, as well as my South Node, Midheaven and Uranus, so I have been feeling particularly frustrated in the luck and expansion department.  But this is definitely a day to rejoice because we can feel freer to act on our emotional intelligence.  Jupiter is exalted in the sign of Cancer but when it was retrograde it wasn't operating at full strength.  We could have felt held back emotionally or in matters pertaining to our home lives.  Now we have a cosmic green light to act on projects that nurture our soul.  The planet of luck, faith and optimism is back on track and will continue its transit in Cancer until June 30.  

Both Venus and Jupiter are in cardinal signs now, so we are definitely up for initiating some action.  Hopefully we all will feel a boost of energy to get moving in a positive direction.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. Mars Squares Off with Uranus, Moves into Pisces and a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo

 

Here we go again.  Mars in Aquarius is squaring Uranus in 27 degrees of Taurus on February 27.  I promise that this is the last of the planets in Aquarius squaring Uranus in Taurus, which has been quite an intense experience for anyone who has planets in the late degrees of the fixed signs of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio in 2026.

Mars squaring Uranus is characterized by impatience, frustration, irrational anger and rebellion against restrictive influences. It can be accident prone energy and the potential for violence can't be ruled out.  I have my natal Pluto in 26 degrees of Leo, so Mars is opposing my Pluto and Uranus is squaring it. Good times aren't exactly in the cards.  But Uranus in Taurus is forming a supportive sextile to my natal Uranus in Cancer so I am holding out hope for some positive change.  This is a very volatile vibe, so I am cautioning everyone to be careful on this day.

The month of February began with a Full Moon in Leo on February 1, but it will end on a more harmonious note on February 28 when Mercury (retrograde) and Venus are conjunct in 21 degrees of Pisces.  Communications should be calmer as it will be easier to share love and affection.  This aspect encourages cooperation and diplomacy.  It also fosters creativity and holds the promise of positive financial news.  

Mars moves into Pisces on March 2 and stays there until April 9.  When Mars is in Pisces our motivation shifts to pursuing more spiritual or emotional goals.  Compassion is a driving force and we are less inclined towards confrontation.  This is mutable water energy, so we can be very chameleon like and adaptable.  But there is the shadow side of confusion and passive-aggressive behavior.  There is a certain nebulous quality that can cause confusion, especially with Mercury retrograde in Pisces.

There is a total blood moon Lunar Eclipse in 12 degrees of Virgo on March 3.  This one has major themes of letting go, surrendering, not trying to be perfect and trusting in the process.  It's a tall order to fill.  Logic versus intuition and this eclipse is opposing its ruling planet Mercury in 20 degrees of Pisces, which is also retrograde.  We are going to need to release some old mental patterns but the retrograde status of Mercury indicates that we will undoubtedly experience some confusion.  Trust me, this is a complicated Full Moon Lunar Eclipse and while we can't expect to have everything figured out, there are some guideposts.

Let's break it down.  The Moon in Virgo is conjunct the South Node in 8 degrees of Virgo, further emphasizing the karmic release theme.  We need to let go of being too controlling, perfect, overly critical and to be of service to others to the point that it harms us. That Virgo Moon is also opposing the asteroid Pallas Athena in 12 degrees of Pisces.  So we have the potential for some aggressive behavior which has a way of emerging on Full Moons, there is also the likelihood of acquiring some wisdom.  Pallas Athena is the asteroid known as the warrior goddess, but strategic intelligence. But this Virgo Moon is also forming a supportive sextile to Jupiter in 15 degrees of Cancer, which encourages self-compassion and is a boost for doing what nurtures our soul. Keep that in mind.

This Lunar Eclipse is squaring my natal Moon in Gemini in my 8th house and forming an exact sextile to my Saturn in Scorpio in my 1st house, so I have no doubt that this will be highly charged and emotional eclipse that requires some restructuring in my life.

Saturn and Neptune Are Conjunct in Aries, Venus and Jupiter Party and Mercury Retrograde in Pisces

 

This is it.  Today, on February 20, Saturn and Neptune are finally conjunct in 0 degrees of Aries. Saturn and Neptune are only conjunct every 36 years, so this is a really big deal for the entire world, both collectively and personally. The themes of a Saturn-Neptune conjunction involve testing faith and dissolving structures.

The last time we had a Saturn-Neptune conjunction was in 1989 in Capricorn, which is also a cardinal sign.  In 1989 the Berlin Wall fell, the Cold War ended, the Tiananmen Square protests occurred, Nelson Mandela was released in 1990 and the World Wide Web was invented.

This conjunction is at 0 degrees of Aries, which is extremely rare.  It denotes a whole new beginning and the end of an era.  We are bidding farewell to a collective story.  It's time to reimagine our future, but we need to be responsible about creating it.  Structure and dreams are hooking up.  Saturn is the planet associated with structures, restrictions, delays and responsibilities while Neptune ins the planet of idealism, intuition, imagination and compassion.  They are strange bedfellows, to say the least.  Saturn and Neptune have not been conjunct in Aries since 1702.

What can we expect from this Saturn-Neptune conjunction? There should be major technological advances, especially with AI. We should utilize this energy by becoming more disciplined about our spiritual practices and trust our intuition more.  But we need to be mindful that we will probably experience a crisis of faith.  Aries is a cardinal fire sign, not exactly known for its patience or ability to exercise self-control.  It runs on impulse.  Saturn is considered to be in fall in Aries, so we really need to learn how to bridge the gap from blind leaps to calculated risks.

On February 22, Venus in Pisces is trining Jupiter in 15 degrees of Cancer.  This transit represents a welcome respite from the frenetic pace of February as the two benefic planets, each in their sign of exaltation, have a very friendly meet-up.  Feel free to indulge in whatever  nourishes your soul.  It's also quite favorable for socializing and feeling more optimistic about the future.

The first Mercury retrograde of 2026 commences on February 26 when Mercury stations retrograde in 22 degrees of Pisces.  It remains retrograde until March 20, when it goes direct in 8 degrees of Pisces.  Let's face it, Mercury is not that comfortable in Pisces to begin with since Mercury rules Virgo and Gemini.  Clarity is kind of missing in action in Pisces even when it is direct.  Our thinking and decision-making is less rational because we are relying on intuition and emotions.

So what can we expect when Mercury is retrograde in Pisces?  There will be deep emotional processing, blurred boundaries and creative revisions.  Be prepared for lots of reflection and over idealism in additional to the usual technological glitches, communication and transportation delays.  Try not to make any major decisions if you can help it.  Mercury has been in its retrograde shadow since February 11 and although it goes direct on March 20, it won't fully clear the retrograde shadow until April 9.  The mutable signs of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius will take the biggest hit from this Mercury retrograde.  I am a Scorpio, but my Moon is in Gemini, so I am definitely in the line of fire on this one...
