Uranus Goes Direct in Taurus Adding a Green Light to Moving Forward and Change



Save the day of January 27, 2024 because on that day Uranus stations direct in 19 degrees of Taurus after having been retrograde since August 28, 2023.  It stationed retrograde back then in 23 degrees of Taurus, so if you have planets between 19-23 degrees of the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius, you have been feeling the angst big time for the past five months. You have probably been contemplating changes, but felt somewhat stymied in terms of what course of action to take.  Uranus is the planet that symbolizes breakthrough, revolution, innovation and is known as the Great Awakener. When Uranus stationed retrograde in August, it was opposing my Venus in Scorpio in my 2nd house and when it stations direct, it will be directly opposing my Sun in Scorpio in my 2nd house.  It also marks the day that all of the planets are in direct motion until April 1 when we have our first Mercury retrograde of 2024 in Aries.

We have had quite an intense week astrologically.  On January 20, after a final conjunction between the Sun and Pluto in 29 degrees of Capricorn, both the Sun and Pluto entered Aquarius.  The Sun enters Aquarius every year, but Pluto entering Aquarius is a rare occurrence.  Okay, it dipped its toes in briefly last year from March 23 through June 11, but it is really getting its feet wet this time before it has one final quick sweep to clean up in Capricorn from September 1 through November 19.  On January 20, I posted:
We also had the first Full Moon of 2024 on January 25 in 5 degrees of Leo that was pretty potent.  On that day I posted:
But I think we are all familiar with the theory that when a planet is stationing, either retrograde or direct, its power is intensified for about five days before and after the actual date of the station.  The bottom line is that if Uranus has been aspecting any of your planets, you have probably been experiencing some intense emotions and anxiety about whatever radical changes you want to make in your life.  Now that Uranus in Taurus has joined the all-direct party of planets, the sense of urgency to implement change is more palpable.

Mercury and Mars are also conjunct in 17 degrees of Capricorn on January 27, so we are going to feel even more inspired to launch new ideas.  It is a very creative vibe.  On January 28, both Mercury and Mars in 18 degrees of Capricorn will be squaring the North Node in Aries and South Node in Libra.  This only serves to fuel our desire to make choices and take action.  Mercury in Capricorn will also be trining Uranus in 19 degrees of Taurus on January 28, which can bring interesting news and approaches to situations.  Venus in Capricorn is also trining Jupiter in 6 degrees of Taurus on that day, which is a real feel-good aspect that helps us to embrace joy and love.  It also fosters creativity and perhaps a desire to engage in some shopping.

We are really feeling the urge to break free, take risks and start some new projects on January 29 when Mars in Capricorn is trining Uranus in 20 degrees of Taurus.  Don't forget that Mars is a very happy camper in Capricorn, eager to accomplish great feats.  And when these two earth signs of Capricorn and Taurus get together, they want to build something that can last.  The astrological log jam has been broken and we have over two months to plunge ahead to implement the plans we have been contemplating since last summer.  Full speed ahead...

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. I also wanted to note that in an ironic twist of fate, one of the latest variants of COVID is EG.5, with a nickname of Eris.  Sound familiar--the Goddess of Discord?  Apparently, COVID cases and hospitalizations are on the rise...


I urge everyone to engage in massive amounts of self-care and follow the protective measures of washing your hands frequently, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, wearing a face mask when necessary and staying home if you are sick. And get a vaccine. The newest vaccine is available and I encourage you to get it to protect yourself. I repeat, you do not want to get this virus! I speak from personal experience and consider myself very fortunate to have survived Coronavirus twice. Stay safe and healthy, everyone!

The Virgo Posse Expands as the Sun and Mercury Enter Virgo, Mars and Venus Hook Up in Virgo and both Mars and Venus Trine Uranus in Taurus




Mars and Venus have already entered the sign of Virgo, on August 18 and 21, 2019, respectively. Those were big days astrologically and my tweets on those days reflected it.


But we are on the brink of a lot more Virgo energy coming down the pike.  The Sun enters Virgo on August 23, 2019.  When the sun is in the mutable earth sign of Virgo, we tend to practical concerns as we get organized and become more detail oriented.  It’s also a fabulous opportunity to focus on our health, jobs and daily routines.  I have always found it fascinating that the sun in Virgo corresponds with the whole back to school time of year.  It’s a period of buckling down after the Leo infused fun filled days of summer.  We are still in the throes of summer, but the season is winding down and our minds are turning to more practical matters.

On the following day, August 24, 2019 Mars and Venus will be conjunct in 3 degrees of Virgo. This aspect will increase the desire for intimate relations as the urge to merge spikes.  Creativity will also soar with this aspect.  It’s great party energy, so if you feel inclined to host a party, feel free to do so. This is a very social aspect and it would be a shame to waste it.

Venus and Mars in Virgo are also making some beneficial trines to Uranus in Taurus.  On August 26, 2019 Venus in 6 degrees of Virgo trines Uranus in 6 degrees of Taurus.  This is one of my personal favorite aspects because I have it natally with my Venus in Scorpio trining Uranus in Cancer.  And both are retrograde to boot!   Venus trining Uranus inspires us to experiment with old and new relationships.  We crave excitement. And with Venus in Virgo, we just might want to try something new in an existing relationship to fix any kinks.  I’m not saying that we should throw out old relationships, but be open to the possibility of change.  Venus trining Uranus is also a favorable influence for socializing, shopping, creativity and gambling if you’re so inclined.  If you were wondering when it might pay off to buy a lottery ticket, this aspect tends to give you an edge…

On August 28, 2019, Mars in 6 degrees of Virgo trines Uranus in 6 degrees of Taurus.  This aspect packs quite a punch in terms of wanting to break free of restrictions and boring routines.  It’s got a strong theme of flying that freak flag that may have been under wraps for a while.  Mars trining Uranus also triggers the need to engage in some risk taking, which we may have to monitor.  But with Mars in Virgo we may have a built in protector; Mars doesn’t act as quickly and impetuously as it does in Leo.  But Uranus in Taurus can be stubborn, so watch that tendency.

Mercury enters Virgo on August 29, 2019 to complete the Virgo posse.  Mercury remains in Virgo until September 14, 2019 and it is a very happy camper in Virgo because it is one of the two signs Mercury rules; Gemini is the other sign. But Mercury is exalted in Virgo and it doesn’t get any better than that.  When Mercury is in Virgo, we can be incredibly productive as we find it easier to get straight to the point.  Communications become more practical with precise thought and speech and we can analyze situations more easily.  This is a perfect comeback to this summer’s Mercury retrograde.  Mercury cleared its retrograde shadow on August 15th and with Mercury direct and speeding through Virgo, the recent Mercury retrograde will be a distant memory.  It’s full steam ahead with communications.

And the month of August ends with more Virgo energy as we experience a new moon in Virgo on August 30th.  I will address that in next week’s post.

Fire Energy Rules with Mars in SagittariusTrining Uranus and Mercury and Venus in Aries





The month of March 2018 may be starting out in the sun sign of Pisces, but it certainly has very fire like vibe with all of the planets in Aries and Mars in Sagittarius.  On March 6th, both Mercury and Venus entered the sign of Aries, inspiring me to tweet:
Mercury entered Aries first, beating Venus out by about 16 hours.  And Mercury is going to spend a long time in Aries, because we have a Mercury retrograde coming on March 22, 2018.  It will station retrograde in 16 degrees of Aries on that day, station direct in 4 degrees of Aries on April 15, 2018 and finally leave Aries on May 4, 2018.  And don’t forget that Mercury is entering its retrograde shadow on March 9, 2018 and won’t clear it until May 3, 2018.  So if you’re feeling those Mercury retrograde vibes, you’re not imagining them.
But how is communication going to change with Mercury in Aries?  Mercury in Aries is nothing if not direct and it will definitely be a time of saying what you mean in a totally honest manner.  And that manner could be blunt, not all vague and sugar-coated like Mercury in Pisces.  Our decisions could be made rather impulsively during this extended transit of Mercury in Pisces. Action is a key word with Mercury in Aries.

Venus will be in Aries from March 6 through March 30, 2018.  Venus has departed its sign of exaltation in Pisces for one of its signs of detriment.  Venus is considered to be in detriment in Aries and Scorpio and in fall in Virgo. When Venus is transiting the sign of Aries, relationships can happen fast because instant gratification is a strong theme.  Aries is a cardinal fire sign and is all about initiating what I want and I want it now!  Aries is not known for its patience either. Venus also rules money, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself tempted to indulge in some impulse purchases during its transit.  Venus in Aries will form a challenging square to Saturn in Capricorn on March 13, 2018, so don’t be surprised if relationships or finances face some bumps on that day.

But on March 11, 2018, when Daylight Savings Time begins, we also have a powerful aspect with Mars in Sagittarius trining Uranus in Aries. They are exact in 26 degrees of their respective signs.  Mars in Sagittarius loves action while Uranus in Aries loves change.  This is a powerhouse combo of action and desire supporting change.  I am sure that we will all have a strong desire for independence on that day and an inclination to fight for what we believe in.  We won’t be afraid to take risks that day either.  It will be a perfect day to be open to new and unusual opportunities and break out of your comfort zone.  Just be mindful that Mercury in Aries will be squaring Saturn in Capricorn that day, so there could be a real sense of being tested in terms of getting new ventures launched.

As for me personally, this has been an incredibly testing time because I have lost power twice during the past week due to storms.  I am also experiencing the joys of Pluto transiting my 4th house.  Pluto entered my 4th house in late January and it is really shaking things up.  I’m hoping for calmer weather soon.
