Scorpio
season is here and about to become even more intense. The Sun entered Scorpio on October 23
inspiring me to tweet:
But on
October 30, the energy really ramps ups due to the Sun in Scorpio forming an
exact square to Saturn in 7 degrees of Aquarius and Mars entering Scorpio until
December 13, 2021. The square aspect occurs at 5:53 a.m., so most of us will be
asleep when it is exact. But the effects
could spill into our morning. Don’t be
surprised if you wake up feeling pessimistic, depressed or just plain
isolated. It can also make us feel tired
and overcome with responsibilities. When
Saturn connects with the Sun it has a way of draining our energy. Try to realize that this aspect is a major
test of character and that the best way to survive it is to exercise patience
and determination, despite the fact that our goals might seem insurmountable. Do what you can to take care of business, but
if you need extra rest, by all means give yourself permission to do so. Our self-confidence will return when we have
made some effort.
Mars is the
planet associated with anger, aggression and passion. It enters the fixed water sign of Scorpio at
10:21 a.m. on October 30. Mars is a very
happy camper in Scorpio because Mars rules Aries and Scorpio. Mars was considered to be the sole ruler of
Scorpio until Pluto was discovered in 1930.
Mars in Scorpio is very competitive and focused like a laser. Scorpio also pertains to debts, other
people’s money, sexuality, private matters and secrets that you could be
ashamed of. When Mars is in Scorpio it
can trigger self-loathing and shame over finances or relationships, but it can
also give you the strength to fight for yourself. Mars is the planet that motivates us and
fuels our desires, and when it is in the sign of Scorpio, it’s a perfect time
to reclaim our power. If you have been
feeling at all victimized lately, Mars in Scorpio will help you to express your
needs and shed that martyr persona. It’s
an energizing jolt of energy that we all need right now. Mars was not very comfortable in the sign of
Libra, and it formed some very challenging aspects, especially with Pluto in
Capricorn. It’s time to bid farewell to
that passive-aggressive vibe that Mars in Libra is renowned for. The shadow side of Mars in Scorpio is that it
can be vengeful in its actions if you cross it.
Just be mindful of that fact and this can be a very productive and
powerful transit.
On November
4, we have a New Moon in 12 degrees of Scorpio.
The themes that will be prevalent on this New Moon in Scorpio include
intensity, passion, vengeance, and an extreme all or nothing vibe. Angry words are possible on this New Moon
because Mercury in late Libra and Mars in 4 degrees of Scorpio are squaring
Saturn in 7 degrees of Aquarius. It will
be time to deal with some harsh realities and upsets are bound to happen. The New
Moon is also in direct opposition to Uranus in 12 degrees of Taurus, which can
bring shocks, upsets, unexpected events and revelations. We could also experience technology going
haywire again with the opposition to Uranus in Taurus, as well as some
weather-related shocks and economic upheavals. The past three New Moons (August,
September and October in the signs of Leo, Virgo and Libra) have all aspected
Uranus in Taurus, which only serves to underscore the prevailing aspect of
2021: Saturn in Aquarius squaring Uranus in Taurus. We had the first Saturn-Uranus square on February
17th in 7 degrees, the second one occurred on June 14 in 13 degrees
and the final one happens on December 24, 2021 in 11 degrees.
As a
Scorpio, I have a vested interest in this New Moon because if I play my cards
right and set some intentions for a brand new lifestyle, I can reap the
benefits of some major changes. Of
course, there are other factors affecting me profoundly. For starters, this New Moon is conjunct my
Saturn in Scorpio in my 1st house of self. I guess I just can’t escape the effects of
the Saturn-Uranus square! The New Moon
in Scorpio is also forming a supportive sextile to my North Node in Capricorn
in my 3rd house, so it’s time for me to move forward on my soul’s
path. But the New Moon is also squaring
my natal Mars in Aquarius in my 4th house, so I suspect that there
will be some frustration and possible blockages in terms of moving
forward. I just want to close with
urging all of you to set some new intentions on this New Moon because it is
powerful and can pack quite a punch in terms of achieving a sense of personal
power because Mars in Scorpio is widely conjunct the New Moon. Don’t discount the power of Mars; it’s
definitely going to have a profound impact.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to
increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were
concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my
in-person Reiki sessions until further notice in order to practice social
distancing. I no longer have my Brookline office, so all of my Reiki sessions
will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki
session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if
you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of
your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they
hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place
when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a
telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their
blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom
consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have
also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I
don’t always have a photo of my client.
I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where

I
urge everyone to engage in massive amounts of self-care and follow the
protective measures of washing your hands frequently, maintaining social
distancing, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, wearing a face mask when necessary
and staying home if you are sick. And get a vaccine. If you are eligible for a
booster shot, get it. The Delta strain of the virus is very serious and we need
to remain vigilant with our masks, even if we are fully vaccinated. I repeat, you do not want to get this virus! I
speak from personal experience and consider myself very fortunate to have
survived Coronavirus. Stay safe and healthy, everyone!
