Scorpio Season and a Venus Jupiter Party with Pluto

It is officially Scorpio season as of 1:47 p.m. on October 23rd and it kicks off with a quite a punch.  The moon enters Pisces at 1:18 a.m., adding more emotional intensity and sensitivity to the mix.  But more importantly, Scorpio’s ruling planet, Pluto, currently in the sign of Capricorn, forms a delightful trine with Venus in Virgo at 3:43 a.m.  Venus trining Pluto favors creative and artistic endeavors and focuses heavily on relationships.  The only potential drawback with this aspect is a tendency to get caught up in obsession.  Venus Pluto aspects tend to have a rather obsessive quality to them, but the trine, especially in earth signs, can help mitigate any damage that would be more likely to occur with the square or opposition.  Trust me, I have a Venus Pluto square in fixed signs, and it literally breathes tenacity and obsessiveness in relationships.

If any of you have planets or points (like your midheaven, nodes of the moon or ascendant) in 10-16 degrees of the water (Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio) or earth (Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo) signs, you will feel this Venus Pluto transit big-time.  The Venus Pluto trine in earth signs can provide assistance in transforming relationships by fixing them.  Venus is in Virgo, which likes to fix and heal, while Pluto in Capricorn is a real go getter in terms of achieving goals.  As for me, my Saturn in 12 degrees of Scorpio is smack in the middle of this aspect courtesy of having both Venus and Pluto sextiling it.  This should be very interesting with all that action in my 11th, 1st and 3rd houses…

It’s no secret that I have a vested interest in Scorpio season because it is my sign and it’s my time to shine.  But the concept of shining is a rather intriguing one for Scorpios, because Scorpio is all about secretiveness and getting to the bottom of things.  Other themes associated with Scorpio include intensity, passion, strong will, complexity, resourcefulness, tenacity, loyalty, regeneration and revenge if feeling betrayed.  Scorpio can be your best friend but your worst enemy in the world if you cross them.  Scorpio is the fixed water sign and it carries a lot of emotional baggage.  Out of all the water signs, Scorpio is probably the least likely to reveal its emotions, because its mantra is “Still waters run deep.”  The Scorpio season is a powerhouse time, not for lightweights and will deliver much intensity in the coming weeks. If the intensity starts to overwhelm you, just breathe and rest assured that the vibe will lighten when the Sun enters Sagittarius on November 22nd.

It’s no secret that Scorpios have experienced a rather challenging couple of years with Saturn in Scorpio from 2012 to 2015, but now that Saturn is finally out of Scorpio after a brief return from June to September 2015, Scorpios are free to reclaim their title of the comeback kids of the zodiac.  I love the fact that Michael Lutin once commented that if any sign could survive a nuclear holocaust, it would be Scorpio!

On October 25th, Venus and Jupiter will be conjunct in Virgo, which is definitely conducive energy for partying, finances and relationships in general.  While neither Venus nor Jupiter is exactly comfortable in Virgo (Venus is considered to be in fall in Virgo), we should still be able to enjoy this aspect if we don’t get too caught up in micromanaging the details that Virgo loves to obsess over.  Jupiter in Virgo requires us to have faith that all will work out in the end if we have done our due diligence. Venus and Jupiter will also be conjunct Mars in Virgo, providing us with the energy to move forward.  And we are still under the influence of that Venus Pluto trine, which is now involving Mars and Jupiter.  Scorpio energy will be quite intense and vibrant on October 25th thanks to Pluto’s influence.

We have one other aspect on October 25th that holds the potential for some unexpected communication to erupt.  Mercury in Libra will be opposing Uranus in Aries, so don’t rule out the possibility of some heated discussions or problems with computers, electronics, or transportation difficulties.  It may briefly feel like a Mercury retrograde, but I assure you that Mercury is safely out of the shadow of its most recent challenging Mercury retrograde.  But if you have any planets or points in 15- 21 degrees of the cardinal signs of Capricorn, Cancer, Libra or Aries, you may experience some of this disruptive energy.  Don’t shoot the messenger, I am just trying to give you fair warning…

I am channeling that Jupiter, Mars and Venus in Virgo energy by offering my Reiki services. MIghty Mars Heats Up the Action

Mars in Virgo has really been heating things up this week to pave the way for constructive change by trining Pluto in Capricorn on October 15th in preparation for its conjunction to Jupiter in Virgo on October 17th.  On October 15th, I tweeted:

“Mars in Virgo trining Pluto in Capricorn today can fuel the passion to find solutions for healing & practical improvements.”

Mars and Pluto are deemed to be the rulers of Scorpio (Mars claimed the title before Pluto was discovered in 1930), so it is huge to have them favorably interacting, smoothing the waters for deep change and transformation.  Scorpios are heavily impacted by this aspect and I am convinced that it was no cosmic accident that we also had the moon in Scorpio from the evening of October 13th through the wee hours of the morning of October 16th.  On October 13th, I posted the following tweet that resonated big time for many people with over 6700 views:

“Moon enters watery Scorpio tonight bringing on more emotional intensity and opportunities for transformation.”

That Scorpio moon also sextiled Mars, Venus and Jupiter in Virgo on October 14th while also sextiling Pluto in Capricorn.  This was a boon for improving relationships. Mars trining Pluto is definitely a positive force for leading us on the road to change and Scorpio especially will reap the benefits of these two power house planets working together. It literally is like having your home team rooting for you.

On October 17th, Mars conjuncts Jupiter in Virgo.  This is a very big deal because we only experience this aspect once every two years.  It is a potent combination of action and enthusiasm for growth.  Mars conjunct Jupiter in the sign of Virgo can trigger a desire to be of service to others and promote healing.

Mars and Jupiter are currently transiting my 11th house.  Mars will enter my 12th house on October 22nd and Jupiter will begin its transit of my 12th house on November 1st.  Mars and Jupiter transiting my 11th house has been providing me with the energy to pursue my goals and interact with new groups.  Jupiter in Virgo asks us to trust our instincts, and I have trusted my instincts to the point where I actually sought out a volunteer position in my community.  This is something I never dreamed I would do.  Talk about the power of Jupiter in Virgo!  I also attended a QPR Suicide Prevention Training on October 15th, the day of the Mars Pluto trine.  Once again, I have every confidence that this was no accident.

When Mars transits my 12th house I expect that I will be doing even more reflecting and researching on my goals.  My dreams are always on the intense side, but I anticipate that I will derive even more insight from them during this period.  And on December 12th Mars in Libra will enter my 1st house, which will clear the decks for action.

Jupiter transiting my 12th house will be a much longer transit, lasting until December 2016.  Jupiter in the 12th house is reputed to offer spiritual protection and renewal, and who can’t use a little of that?  It also generates compassion, empathy and sensitivity while providing access to our subconscious mind.  I am relying on it to guide me on my spiritual path in the coming year.

Neptune in Pisces also featured prominently in this action.  On October 14th it trined that Scorpio moon, adding an even deeper spiritual dimension to the mix.  Neptune will also be opposing Venus in Virgo on October 16th, which can create that notorious Neptunian fog regarding idealized affection in relationships and a proclivity towards the victim role.   Neptune continues to engage in more subterfuge when it inconjuncts Mercury in Libra on October 18th.  So beware of some truths being obscured at this time.  Not everything you hear could be true and there may be some important facts omitted.  Never rule out the power of Neptune.

The bottom line is that change is definitely in the air and there is support for positive change and growth, courtesy of Mars and Jupiter in Virgo making nice with Pluto in Capricorn.  Pluto is all about deep transformation and it’s pretty sweet to catch a break in moving forward after the recent eclipses and retrogrades of Mercury and Venus.

I am channeling that Jupiter, Mars and Venus in Virgo energy by offering my Reiki services. Super Full Moon in Pisces Has Potential for Making Dreams Come True

Full Moon Alert- we have a full moon in 6 degrees of Pisces coming up on August 29, 2015.  I'm not exaggerating when I call it a super full moon because it is especially close to the earth. I also think it would be a fair assessment to say that most people have been feeling the effects of this full moon for the better part of this past week.  Everyone I know has been stressed out to the max and there has been a plethora of bad news out there, between the stock market volatility and more senseless shootings.  But we did have that nice Sun Jupiter conjunction in Virgo on August 26th which definitely helped alleviate some of that stress.  On that day I tweeted:

"Super good luck abounds today as Sun and Jupiter hook up in Virgo. It's a cosmic green light to make things happen.  Run with it!"

I wouldn't be surprised if the stock market having a somewhat upward turn was influenced by that Sun/Jupiter aspect.

This full moon has a special connection with Neptune because it conjuncts Neptune in 8 degrees of Pisces, Its alignment with Neptune can lift us to imaginative heights but it can also confuse us and cast a Neptunian fog over what's real and what isn't.  Fear could also run rampant in the light of the recent bad news that has enveloped us.

How do we deal with this full moon?  Keep in mind that this Pisces moon is opposing the Virgo Sun. so we will do well to embrace the concept of practical magic. It will also be opposing Jupiter in Virgo, so there is ample reason to expect something good to come out of this full moon.  Healing is an important theme of this full moon.  Of course, fantasy, escapism, unconditional love, sacrifice and potential loss of self also figure in the mix.  Yes, it can be a loaded, emotional full moon in the watery sign of Pisces which, like Pisces itself, can go either way.  Our best bet is to integrate our spirituality more fully into our daily lives and somehow make both intuition (Pisces) and analysis (Virgo) work as a team to manifest our dreams.

Saturn is still concluding its final weeks in Scorpio (can September 17th come soon enough, although we will have a Mercury retrograde to deal with as well on that day) and it is still making its influence felt.  If you haven't checked out Michael Lutin's site lately, I highly encourage you to do so.

www.michaellutin.com

I could definitely relate to what he said about feeling helpless while awaiting a change in direction while feeling like you are in a state of feeling suspended in a vacuum or stuck in a void.  He talks about the eight root causes of desperation as Saturn leaves Scorpio and I think that many people besides me are feeling that we are on the verge of a major change in direction in our lives but are extremely frustrated with the delays in manifesting those changes.  Anxiety is at an all-time high. And I believe that Michael is right when he says that holding on to improper attachments is a major cause of that desperation.

This full moon is trining my south node in Cancer, which is all about the past.  For the past couple of weeks I have been encountering situations that reflect unresolved issues from the past and triggering old emotional wounds that I thought had healed. It is a very humbling experience to realize that I haven't totally forgiven some people  and that there is more work to be done on my end to reach that state. A Pisces full moon is all about love and surrender. The answers may come when we literally let go and release our expectations of how a situation will play out.  No matter how old I get, it never ceases to amaze me how much things do not happen on my timeline or in the manner that I envision. Trusting in the process is a hard fought lesson for me. That will probably be the greatest challenge for me with the Pisces Full Moon.

One way to embrace the Neptunian piece of this Super Full Moon in Pisces is to go to the movies. Neptune rules film, so if you really need to escape this weekend, that may be your safest bet.  And depending on the film you decide to see, it may give you some inspiration.

Virgo Season Officially Arrives

The Leo party is starting to break up as the Sun enters Virgo on August 23rd, joining Mercury and Jupiter already in Virgo.  But before the Sun leaves Leo, it makes some pretty intense aspects by squaring both Saturn and the moon.  On August 21st, the Leo Sun squares Saturn in Scorpio, which is bound to bring on feelings of being restricted and delays in achieving our goals. It may feel impossible to make any headway or accomplish anything and I wouldn’t rule out conflicts with authority figures. Frankly, I regard it as Saturn in Scorpio’s swan song before it enters Sagittarius again on September 17th.  Saturn in Scorpio is not going quietly into that good night; it will challenge our sense of self and will certainly not feel like a day at the beach.  August 21st may not be the day to launch any bold new enterprises, but maybe we can embrace Saturn’s energy by paying attention to what it is trying to teach us.  Perhaps patience is the ultimate lesson in spite of the fact that we feel that our ambitions are being thwarted.

On August 22nd, the Sun’s last full day in Leo, it also faces off with the moon in Scorpio by squaring it.  This aspect will bring emotional tensions to a head as the conflict plays out between desires and emotions.

Even though Leo symbolizes the warmth of summer, I confess that I am looking forward to the sun entering Virgo and a time of more introspection.  Leo is the life of the party, but there comes a time when we must get back to work.  Every year I find that by the last week of the Sun in Leo, I start to feel impatient and irritable and berate myself for not accomplishing more.  It could just be the Leo Sun squaring my Sun, Venus, Ceres and Pallas Athena in Scorpio.  I definitely experience these challenging transits as a major tension between wanting to enjoy myself and engage in some major transformation because that Leo Sun is also conjuncting my Pluto.

Virgo is much more introspective, introverted and reflective than its extroverted astrological neighbor Leo.  The themes of Virgo involve health and work.  Service to others is a major focus of Virgo.  Opportunities for healing can abound when the Sun is in Virgo.  Research, analysis and organizing are also very Virgo oriented tasks.  Is it any wonder that the academic year resumes when the Sun is in Virgo?  Back to school is like a reality check and resumption of practicality, which is a strong Virgo trait.

Jupiter is already in the sign of Virgo and this indicates that we will draw the greatest benefit and luck if we engage in service to others.  Volunteering may be an option for some people with both Jupiter and the Sun in Virgo.  On August 26th, the Sun and Jupiter conjunct in Virgo.  This is literally the best day of the month to make something happen, so don’t waste this precious energy!  I always say that if you snooze with Jupiter, you lose.  You have to grab its brass ring or the opportunity will slip away.  It literally is the polar opposite of Saturn, which is slower moving and manages to stick around to get inside your head. You can’t ignore Saturn successfully, but you can fritter away Jupiter’s benevolence if you relax too much and neglect its presence.

There are some pitfalls involved with the Sun in Virgo.  Virgo is renowned for being a perfectionist and a control freak.  And Virgo really needs to embrace the mantra of change taking time to curb its natural impatience.  We also have a solar eclipse coming up in 20 degrees of Virgo on September 13th, so we need to prepare for that.  If we want new beginnings, and that seems to be the case with most folks these days, we need to contemplate what we want to manifest.

As a practicing psychic, I love the Hermit tarot card that is associated with the sign of Virgo.  The Hermit symbolizes wisdom, solitude, detachment, and observation.  Take a look at it.

T

The star in the Hermit card represents the balancing of male and female energies working together for spiritual advancement.  It is a beacon of light for us if we choose to do the work of traveling that path.

We still have Venus in Leo until October 8th due to the retrograde. If you are curious as to how this extended Venus retrograde in Leo period will affect you, please consider getting an astrological reading with me.  A little insight is always a powerful tool.  Just ask for the Venus Retrograde Special, which will be $25 through the month of September 2015. Jolly Jupiter and the Holidays

Jupiter may have turned retrograde at 20 degrees of Cancer on November 7, 2013, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t living up to its full potential in terms of expansion and growth. In fact, Jupiter retrograde is a great time to review issues around expansion and abundance, as well as your values.  Reconsideration, reflection and finishing what has been left undone are the most productive ways to harness the period of Jupiter retrograde.  Life tends to slow down somewhat to give us perspective.

I like to think of Jupiter as Santa Claus, because it loves to indulge and expand. Many astrologers refer to Jupiter as the “Great Benefic.”  I also have Jupiter in the sign of Cancer, which is said to be exalted.  A few months ago I noticed that I was born when Jupiter was stationary retrograde—it was just getting ready to go retrograde.  So I can only presume that Jupiter’s retrograde period, which lasts until March 6, 2014 when Jupiter goes direct at 10 degrees of Cancer, will be an important time for me.  It will be revisiting my 9th house and conjuncting my south node again, so undoubtedly I will be involved in more reassessment to let go of some part of my past that is preventing me from moving forward.

Jupiter may not have been perfectly aligned with Mars on November 28th, Thanksgiving Day for the dawning of a new age, but it was opposing Venus in Capricorn and that certainly lent to the merriment and celebratory atmosphere around the holiday table.  When Jupiter and Venus get together, they like to party and have a good time.  Oppositions are usually interpreted as tough aspects, but with these two planets they just want to have fun and it doesn’t matter how they are aligned. Sometimes that can be too much of a good thing, though.  How many people overindulged on Thanksgiving?  A Jupiter/Venus opposition on Thanksgiving practically gives people carte blanche to do so.  Wine flows freely at the table and people tend to have extra helpings of all that delicious food. Jupiter in Cancer was also trining Mercury in Scorpio (which just left its shadow retrograde period on November 27th, clearing the decks for communication to move forward), so there was also plenty of talk going on.

But the moon in Libra on Thanksgiving was squaring both Jupiter and Venus, which only served to reinforce the theme of overindulgence that might have led to less satisfaction.  Jupiter tends to want more, but perhaps the trick to flowing with Jupiter retrograde is to seek out what is real as opposed to just seeking out more in an effort to overcompensate for feelings of lack.  After all, the sun is always in Sagittarius during Thanksgiving, and Sagittarius seeks the truth.  But not only were we celebrating Thanksgiving on November 28th, many people were also celebrating Hanukkah. It came to be known as Thanksgivuka.  So Jupiter was really working overtime that day.  Hanukkah and Thanksgiving have not occurred on the same day for 125 years and it will be another 70,000 years before it happens again.  I hope everyone who partook of the joint celebration enjoyed it.

In the meantime, I am getting in the holiday spirit myself and taking full advantage of transiting Jupiter trining my sun and playing Santa Claus.  I am offering a 20% discount on all of my services during the month of December.  Transiting Mercury is also conjunct my Venus now, so I am taking the opportunity to extend this offer of my astrological knowledge with you during this holiday season.  An astrological reading is a thoughtful, unique gift and the insight it imparts can keep giving throughout the coming year.   Please review my Services Offered page and go to this link to learn more about this special offer.
