Jupiter Stations Direct and A Super New Moon in Virgo

The planets are playing musical chairs again.  Two days ago Mars in Aries stationed retrograde, inspiring me to tweet:

On September 12, 2020, Jupiter will resume direct motion in 17 degrees of Capricorn after a four month retrograde that began on May 14th in 27 degrees of Capricorn. Jupiter retrograde is not as dramatic as Mercury or Mars retrograde because it is more philosophical, but it does pose its own unique set of challenges.  When Jupiter is retrograde, it has a way of forcing us to reassess our views of the world and what we consider to be lucky. Opportunities and good fortune may seem to be in short supply when Jupiter is retrograde.  Don’t be surprised if what you considered to be a great opportunity or lucky break in the recent past has changed in the last four months.  We have all been swept up in COVID-19 this year; I was still sick myself from it when Jupiter stationed retrograde back in May. I consider myself lucky to be alive right now.  But Jupiter was forming a conjunction to my Chiron in the 4th house when it stationed retrograde in May and in direct opposition to my natal Uranus in Cancer in my 10th house. When Jupiter is direct, we have the opportunity to realize what wisdom we have accumulated during the retrograde period and we will also be infused with a sense of future vision and creativity. We have a window of opportunity to believe that our dreams can come true. The themes of luck and expansiveness that Jupiter is associated with can manifest in success for anyone with planets around 17 degrees of the earth signs of Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo.

On September 17, 2020 the earth energy is more potent when we have a Super New Moon in 25 degrees of Virgo.  It’s called a super new moon because the moon is at its closest point to the earth and its emotional power is heightened.  New moons are always a time of setting new intentions and this new moon in the sign of Virgo contains strong themes of service to others and healing.  It can be a time of new beginnings that will take approximately six months to reveal itself. There will be a full moon in Virgo on February 27, 2021 that will demonstrate what we have reaped from the seeds that we sow on this new moon. Hopefully we will have a vaccine for the Coronavirus by then or at least have it more under control.

What other aspects are in play on this new moon in Virgo?  Mercury in Libra is squaring the newly direct Jupiter in Capricorn, which can lead to big and expansive thinking. There may be a lot of talk about a vaccine or new treatment for the Coronavirus. Mercury in Libra is also inconjunct Neptune in Pisces, which could play out in secrets being revealed or divine inspiration coming through.  You never quite know what will happen with Neptune, but the fact that it is in an inconjunct aspect with Mercury indicates that some type of adjustment will be required.  Venus in Leo is also squaring Uranus in Taurus, which could manifest in unexpected developments in love and finances.  Conflicts might emerge in relationships regarding emotional security and the need for space.

The new moon in Virgo is also trining Saturn in Capricorn.  Trines are usually considered to be favorable aspects, but when Saturn is involved, nothing is easy. The moon and Saturn are not exactly happy campers together.  It indicates that we need to work hard and there may be difficult emotional stuff to process. As the old saying goes, no pain, no gain. The sun and moon in Virgo are trining both Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn which can help us manifest our long-term plans but we need to do the work to get the results.

The mutable signs or anyone with planets in the mutable signs of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarius will feel the effects of this new moon the most.  Obviously, Virgo will strive for healing, service to others and being the best it can be. Pisces may find themselves entering a new stage in relationships by rebooting and letting go of the past.  Gemini may experience a new start on the home front, either through a physical move or a fresh start in relationships with family members.  And Sagittarius will have a strong 10th house influence to usher in a new period in their career or public standing.  If career is not a pressing issue right now, it could mean a fresh start in revamping life goals that will see a payoff in February 2021.

If you are curious about how all of these planetary changes will be affecting you, please consider getting an astrological reading. These are very challenging and unique times; an astrological reading could provide some much needed clarity and guidance.  Check out my menu of services at:

The coronavirus outbreak is causing me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people are concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice in order to practice social distancing. When I return to my Brookline office I will be practicing Reiki with a mask, gloves, and medical exam sheets for your protection.  I will also have hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes available. In the meantime, a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. If this appeals to you, please feel free to contact me by email at lindasim54@gmail.com or call me at 617-304-2205. The cost for distance Reiki sessions is based on a sliding scale of $30 -$50. For your convenience, I accept Venmo for payment.  I have also written an article about distance Reiki, which is available at:

An Emotionally Charged Full Moon in Pisces that is Heavily Influenced by Venus Opposing Saturn

We are headed for what could play out as one of the most emotionally intense full moons of 2020 on September 2, 2020.  It will be in the sensitive, compassionate and highly emotional water sign of Pisces.  The full moon will be in 10 degrees of Pisces on that day, so anyone with planets in the water signs of Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio should be on high alert for emotional drama and potential waterworks.  While a moon in Pisces is definitely intuitive, sensitive and compassionate, it can also be confusing and leaving us with a strong desire for escapism.

A full moon in Pisces represents a dissolution process (don’t forget that Pisces is ruled by Neptune and Neptune loves to dissolve) and major reflection on the past. The general themes of a full moon are closure, completion and shining light on hidden matters.  We had a new moon in 4 degrees of Pisces on February 23, 2020 and back then there was a growing awareness of the coronavirus emerging.  It was followed by a Sun/Neptune conjunction in 18 degrees of Pisces on March 8, 2020.  On September 12, 2020, we will experience the sun in 19 degrees of Virgo opposing Neptune in 19 degrees of Pisces.  I think that it is a foregone conclusion by now that Neptune is closely aligned with the virus and this will be an interesting time to see if any progress will be revealed on combating the coronavirus after nearly six months of dealing with it on daily basis. I know that it is far too soon to expect a vaccine in September, but perhaps my own Neptunian nature (Neptune conjunct my ascendant in the first house and conjunct my Mercury) holds out hope for some good news in combating the virus. But it is rather telling that almost six months have passed since that new moon in Pisces ushered in the awareness of coronavirus and I for one am curious about what type of light will be shone on the cycle of this virus.

Mercury in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces are major players in this full moon.  Mercury will be opposing Neptune in 19 degrees of Pisces on August 30, 2020.  This aspect can set the stage for some mental confusion and miscommunication in relationships. Reality may be clouded due to an overflow of information.  It’s not the best time to be making major decisions or engaging in business deals. On the plus side, it does favor creativity.

How does the rest of the astrological landscape look on the full moon of September 2nd?  Well, for starters, the sun in Virgo is trining Uranus in 10 degrees of Taurus.  This is an exciting aspect that could provide us with increased intuition and sudden flashes of insight leading to new revelations.  Our desire for freedom will be strong and we could also see some technological advancements.  The shadow side of this aspect is that we could also experience more earthquakes, volcano eruptions, fires and storms.  The sun in Virgo and Uranus in Taurus are also involved in a Grand Earth Trine with Jupiter in 17 degrees of Capricorn, so this could be an ideal time for manifesting our wishes.  Mercury in 24 degrees of Virgo is also trining Saturn in 25 degrees of Capricorn and Pluto in 22 degrees of Capricorn while opposing Neptune in 19 degrees of Pisces.  This configuration could supply us with the motivation to transform our thoughts into reality.

The full moon in 10 degrees of Pisces is also forming supportive sextiles to Uranus in 10 degrees of Taurus and Jupiter in 17 degrees of Capricorn.  The moon sextiling Uranus can bring stimulating personal encounters and exciting events.  Intuition will be ramped up and our moods may be changeable with a strong desire to break free of old habits and try something new.  The moon sextiling Jupiter increases our desire to be with other people and have fun, which can be somewhat tricky in the age of coronavirus.

Underscoring the full moon is the role that Venus in Cancer plays.  It opposes Pluto in 22 degrees of Capricorn on August 30, 2020, which could manifest in some relationship drama via manipulation, obsessiveness, compulsive behavior and power plays.  On the day of the full moon, Venus in 25 degrees of Cancer exactly opposes Saturn in 25 degrees of Capricorn.  This can result in a conflict over our need for both emotional and financial security versus our need for control.   The old order is collapsing and more revelations regarding deeper levels of corruption could occur.

Venus Saturn oppositions also have the same full moon themes of conclusions and endings.  Saturn will definitely be exerting limitations on finances and relationships.  Some relationships may literally reach a breaking point or at the very least need to press the pause button.  I currently have Saturn transiting my 4th house of home and family and I can attest to the fact that the pandemic is definitely bringing its share of restrictions and limitations to my home life.  I am sure that this is true for Libras or anyone with Libra rising.  Venus in Cancer has been quite intense but it will be leaving the sign of Cancer for Leo on September 6, 2020.  But there will be more changes in relationships ahead because Venus in Leo will be squaring Uranus in Taurus on September 17, 2020.  This aspect will feel somewhat like Uranus stationing retrograde on August 15th.

A Second New Moon in Cancer and the Sun Roars into Leo

We have a second new moon in Cancer coming up on July 20, 2020.  The first one occurred on June 21, 2020 in 0 degrees but the one on July 20th will be in 28 degrees of Cancer.  So anyone with planets in the late degrees of Cancer or any of the other cardinal signs of Aries, Libra or Capricorn should feel the full effects of this new moon.

New moons are traditionally considered an opportunity to plant a seed for new beginnings but this particular new moon has some very challenging aspects that may make it feel more like a full moon.  A new moon in Cancer will always entail themes of new beginnings in the areas of home, family, and emotional security but this new moon features oppositions to Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn.

We got a taste of the Cancer Capricorn polarity earlier this week when the Cancer sun opposed Jupiter in Capricorn on July 14th and opposed Pluto in Capricorn on July 15th.  Both of these aspects inspired me to tweet:

With the new moon in Cancer opposing retrograde Jupiter in Capricorn, we are definitely in the mood for a new chapter in our lives during this pandemic, but we are on the receiving end of mixed messages because that Cancer moon opposing retrograde Saturn in Capricorn is restricting us and placing limitations on our daily lives.  The new moon opposing retrograde Pluto in Capricorn indicates that psychological wounds can be dredged up from the unconscious as we could be facing a period of deep shadow work to release what is no longer serving our best interests and move us forward on the path of transformation.  We are definitely dealing with a deconstruction of the old order and especially with Saturn and Pluto involved it could feel like a real tug of war between the government and the people.  Do you see why I think this could very well feel like a full moon?  Many of us may be struggling with work/life balance issues during this time as many people work from home.

I know for a fact that this new moon will impact me because it is conjunct my Jupiter Uranus conjunction in Cancer in my 10th house.  Talk about a work life challenge! Something is bound to change.  I do my astrology work from home, as well as my distance Reiki treatments.  I hope to be able to get out in the physical world to do in-person Reiki treatments in August but like everyone else I am watching the numbers closely and am deeply concerned about the spike in Coronavirus cases which I am sure can be attributed to the most recent Jupiter Pluto conjunction in Capricorn on June 30, 2020.  And let’s face it, some people did not exactly practice social distancing on the 4th of July and we are dealing with the repercussions of that as well.

But we do have one saving grace aspect on the new moon of July 20th. That Cancer moon will be trining Neptune in Pisces.  Okay, it happens right after midnight before the new moon is exact, but it does favor sensitivity, creativity, our imagination and foster compassion towards others.  Our intuition will be strong on this day and I definitely encourage people to meditate and set new intentions on this new moon.

Two days later, on July 22, 2020 the sun enters the fixed fire sign of Leo, which it rules.  When the sun is in Leo, it is a time to shine, be proud and play.  We feel more confident, optimistic, enthusiastic, outgoing and gregarious.  This can be a welcome respite from the past few months.  Just be mindful of the shadow side of Leo, which is a tendency to be arrogant and self-centered.

On July 22, 2020, we also have Mercury in 10 degrees of Cancer sextiling Uranus in 10 degrees of Taurus.  This is a very positive and supportive aspect that can deliver exciting news and is ripe for stimulating conversations.  It’s also got a very future oriented vibe and there could be brilliant flashes of insight.  We should also be open to the possibility of meeting new people and new perspectives under the auspices of this aspect.

If you are curious about how all of these planetary changes will be affecting you, please consider getting an astrological reading. These are very challenging and unique times; an astrological reading could provide some much needed clarity and guidance.  Check out my menu of services at:

I have also added a new reading to my menu of services, a Clues to Compatibility reading, which is designed primarily for non-romantic relationships and utilizes synastry to determine your connections with friends, family members and business associates. Chiron Retrograde, Mercury Stations Direct and the Sun Trines Neptune

This coming weekend features another boatload of planetary activity.  On July 11, 2020, Chiron stations retrograde in 9 degrees of Aries and remains retrograde until December 15, 2020 when it stations direct in 4 degrees of Aries.  Mercury stations direct in 5 degrees of Cancer on July 12, 2020 and the Sun in 20 degrees of Cancer trines Neptune in 20 degrees of Pisces.

How is Chiron retrograde in Aries going to play out in this year of the Coronavirus?  Chiron retrograde offers us opportunities to heal old wounds by confronting people and places from our past and promises spiritual growth if we are determined to do the work.  It is a time to face our fears and insecurities, which is never easy. The work entails reflecting on how we have used our wounds as a source of power and healing.  And with Chiron in Aries, those wounds could very well revolve around our identity and self-esteem. It sounds like we have our work cut out for ourselves for the next five months.  Transiting Chiron is currently in my 6th house and I admit to having some fears and insecurities about my health, wondering if I could catch the Coronavirus again. It’s not an experience that I would care to repeat.  I am also dealing with the disruptions in my daily routines, as is everyone else on the planet these days.

On July 12, 2020, a collective sigh of relief will be heard around the world as Mercury stations direct in 5 degrees of Cancer at 4:26 a.m.  This has been a particularly emotional and intense Mercury retrograde, more so because it was in the water sign of Cancer.  On July 8, 2020, retrograde Mercury in Cancer squared Mars in Aries, which was a very explosive and tense aspect.  On that day I tweeted:
I admit that I was not at my best that day and my temper flared big time over some needed kitchen repairs.  I should have heeded my own advice. Of course, I have Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter transiting my 4th house and ever since Pluto entered my 4th house two years ago, it literally seems like everything in my home is breaking down and this day was no exception.

Hopefully, now that Mercury is direct, we can be kinder towards others in our communications and that electronic devices will stop breaking down.  I hope my printer gets the memo on that because it has been jamming like crazy this past week.  But don’t forget that Mercury doesn’t clear its retrograde shadow until July 26th when it hits 14 degrees of Cancer, so don’t expect miracles immediately.  But there is light at the end of the tunnel and we should be feeling the effects of that progress soon.

We also have another delightful aspect on July 12th.  The sun in 20 degrees of Cancer trines Neptune in 20 degrees of Pisces.  This can be a very inspirational and spiritual transit which favors creativity, compassion and help dissolve (Neptune’s theme song) our ego and any mental or emotional blocks that are causing confusion. We could also find ourselves being extremely idealistic under the auspices of this transit.  The compassion piece of this transit could provide an opportunity to release old grudges and petty power struggles as we are more inclined to be more selfless, sensitive and more in tune with our psychic powers.  It’s a perfect day to meditate.  Of course, we need to be mindful of the shadow side of this transit as well: there is the potential for deception, a desire for escapism and a sense of confusion.

The sun trine Neptune aspect on July 12th hits home for me because it forms a grand water trine for me with my Scorpio sun and Cancer midheaven, which are both at 19 degrees.  I have also been undergoing the transits of Neptune in Pisces trining both my sun and midheaven since early February 2020 and this will continue through April 1, 2021.  While it has been a very spiritually enlightening time, it has also generated some confusion.  The fact that Neptune is transiting my 6th house probably contributed to my being infected with the Coronavirus and my attempts to find some meaning of this experience.

If you are curious about how all of these planetary changes will be affecting you, please consider getting an astrological reading. These are very challenging and unique times; an astrological reading could provide some much needed clarity and guidance.  Check out my menu of services at:

Eclipse Season Concludes with a Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn

Brace yourself for the third eclipse on July 5, 2020 that we have experienced in five weeks.  It will be a lunar eclipse in 13 degrees of Capricorn. That’s right, folks, it’s the third eclipse since June 5th, which was a lunar eclipse in 15 degrees of Sagittarius followed by a solar eclipse in 0 degrees of Cancer on June 21, 2020.

I always say that lunar eclipses are like full moons on steroids and this one will not be an exception.  I like to look at the history of certain astrological aspects and this eclipse has some pretty interesting baggage.  For starters, we had a lunar eclipse in 14 degrees of Capricorn on July 6, 1963 and back then we had Martin Luther King’s “I have a Dream” speech and the assassination of President Kennedy.  Fast forward to July 5, 2001 and we had a lunar eclipse in 13 degrees of Capricorn which featured another Saturn Pluto aspect (an opposition with Saturn in Gemini and Pluto in Sagittarius) which is reminiscent of the infamous Saturn Pluto conjunction in Capricorn from January 2020 that manifested in the Coronavirus.  Any astrologer worth their salt will tell you that the lunar eclipse in July 2001 led to the attacks on 9/11.

I don’t want to be predicting wars or assassinations, but this eclipse will be a big deal for the United States of America.  It happens one day after the 4th of July, which is America’s birthday.  And we need to remember that the United States is moving into its first Pluto Return.  Pluto was in 27 degrees of Capricorn in 1776 and Pluto will be in 27 degrees of Capricorn in 2022.  But we are definitely feeling the effects in our economy and government with Pluto now in 24 degrees of Capricorn.  Jupiter and Saturn have already reached 27 degrees of Capricorn, although they are both retrograde but will be back to 27 degrees in November and December 2020.

Retrograde Saturn re-entered Capricorn on July 1, 2020, inspiring me to tweet:
Full moons also tend to bring a sense of closure and completion.  This year we have the Black Lives Matter movement and the number of Coronavirus cases increasing.  Interestingly enough, we had the second Jupiter Pluto conjunction on June 30, 2020 and the consensus is that all Jupiter seemed to expand was the surge in Coronavirus cases.  The last Jupiter Pluto conjunction occurred on April 4th when the Coronavirus was surging in many states. Jupiter is not a happy camper in the sign of Capricorn; it’s exalted in Cancer, so it is technically in fall in Capricorn because it is so uncomfortable in Capricorn.

We can’t forget the importance of Pluto in Capricorn in this eclipse or in anything that happens in 2020 for that matter.  On July 5th, the moon in Capricorn will conjunct retrograde Pluto in 24 degrees of Capricorn and retrograde Jupiter in 23 degrees of Capricorn.  Purging and detoxing are major themes with Pluto in Capricorn and this lunar eclipse will amplify the theme of deconstructing the old order.  Transiting Jupiter will be in 22 degrees of Capricorn during the week of July 8 -16, 2020, which will give us a revisiting of the Saturn Pluto conjunction in that degree on January 12th and a preview of what will transpire from August through November 2020.

Another major theme of the lunar eclipse on July 5, 2020 will be one of practical security.  It is a south node eclipse and has the power to shine a light on something that has been hidden and could signal a completion of a cycle.  We may need to engage in some kind of release or adjustments in business and our levels of maturity and responsibility. Mars in 4 degrees of Aries will be squaring Mercury in 7 degrees of Cancer, so the air is ripe for conflict and angry words.  Saturn in 29 degrees of Capricorn, the critical degree, could very well bring out the shadow side of Capricorn, which is abuse of power and control.

We also have a cardinal Grand Cross aspect on the day of lunar eclipse. It involves the moon in Capricorn, the sun in Cancer, Mercury in 7 degrees of Cancer, and Vesta in 13 degrees of Cancer squaring Juno in 9 degrees of Libra and Chiron in 9 degrees of Aries.  All of these square and opposition aspects generate a great deal of tension.  The moon in Capricorn opposing Vesta in Cancer has a theme of devotion to a higher cause and the Black Lives Matter movement is a prime example of that.  Juno in Libra opposing Chiron in Aries places a greater emphasis on wounding and healing in committed relationships.  Let’s face it, the lockdown has forced many of us to deal with our emotional triggers.  Mercury in Cancer is encouraging us to let go of beliefs that are no longer serving our best interests.

The bottom line with this eclipse is that with its focus on practical security it will force us to deal with the effects of that Saturn Pluto conjunction in Capricorn back on January 12, 2020 and the Coronavirus.  Some may be tempted to let their guards down with the holiday, but we need to remain vigilant by continuing to wear masks and engage in social distancing.

The coronavirus outbreak is causing me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people are concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until August in order to practice social distancing.  I will be back in my Brookline office then practicing Reiki with a mask, gloves, and medical exam sheets for your protection. The cost for distance Reiki sessions is $30.  For your convenience, I accept PayPal and Venmo as forms of payment.  I have also written an article about distance Reiki, which is available at:

I was also featured in the July 3, 2017 edition of Boston Voyager, an online publication that runs a section called Inspiring Stories about local entrepreneurs on its home page.  The Scorpio moon was trining the Cancer sun and Neptune in Pisces on that day, so my story certainly debuted under fitting aspects.  Please feel free to check it out:

I urge everyone to engage in massive amounts of self-care and follow the protective measures of washing your hands frequently, maintaining social distancing, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, wearing a face mask when going outside your home and staying home if you are sick.  I repeat, you do not want to get this virus! I speak from personal experience and consider myself very fortunate to have survived Coronavirus. Stay safe and healthy, everyone!

Happy 4th of July!

Venus Enters Gemini, Jupiter and Pluto Conjunction in Capricorn and a Full Moon in Libra

We have a rather busy week ahead of us astrologically.  On April 3, 2020, Venus enters the mutable air sign of Gemini until August 7, 2020 due to the upcoming Venus retrograde.  Venus stations retrograde in 21 degrees of Gemini on May 13, 2020 and stations direct in 5 degrees of Gemini on June 24, 2020.  On April 4, 2020, Jupiter and Pluto are conjunct in 24 degrees of Capricorn for the first of three Jupiter Pluto conjunctions of 2020.  The next two occur on June 29, 2020 and November 12, 2020.  And we have the biggest super full moon of the year in 18 degrees of Libra on April 7, 2020.

Venus in Gemini is usually considered to be a very social and communicative transit in which bonding occurs on a more mental level.  Intelligence is more appealing than physical attributes when Venus is transiting the air sign of Gemini.  Humor is also very important when Venus is in Gemini.  We need this quality during the Coronavirus pandemic, as it is forcing us to be social in less physical ways and we are forced to be more introspective about our relationships and finances.  The shadow side of Venus in Gemini is that it tends to be more fickle and finds it difficult to commit.  The fact that Venus will be retrograde in Gemini (the torn between two lovers archetype) from May through the end of June 2020 reinforces the theme of not making any major commitments such as marriage during this period.  Sorry to burst the bubble for anyone considering a June wedding.  Relationships and finances (Venus also rules money) are apt to be quite volatile during this transit.  Venus will be conjuncting my natal moon in Gemini in my 8th house on April 22, 2020 and on July 19, 2020, so I am definitely in the crossfire of this Venus in Gemini transit.

On April 4, 2020, Jupiter and Pluto are conjunct in 24 degrees of Capricorn.  Jupiter is not very comfortable in the sign of Capricorn and when it is conjunct Pluto it will magnify Pluto’s penchant for digging deep into our psyches to unearth fears that have disempowered us in order to transform ourselves.  I think it’s pretty safe to say that we are all feeling pretty fearful these days with the Coronavirus because it has totally dismantled the structures of our lives.  Fear is raging yet we need to tap into our reserves of strength and courage to deal with situations that are totally out of our control.  I think that it goes without saying that we now realize that the Saturn Pluto conjunction in 22 degrees of Capricorn on January 12, 2020 has disrupted the old order   of things with the Coronavirus.  The Coronavirus was beginning its spread in China back then. Jupiter conjunct Pluto in Capricorn has a strong theme of large scale happenings as we face the collapse of the old order and we approach the peak of the pandemic in mid to late April 2020.

It won’t be easy, but we need to remember that Pluto is deepening Jupiter’s capacity to develop more faith, hope and optimism during these challenging times. I am clinging to the hope that as Jupiter and Pluto separate in July 2020, due to Pluto stationing retrograde on April 25, 2020 in 26 degrees of Capricorn and Jupiter stationing retrograde on May 14, 2020 in 27 degrees of Capricorn, we can see a return to normalcy.

The Jupiter Pluto conjunction is exactly conjunct my natal Chiron in Capricorn in my 4th house, and already I am feeling truly vulnerable. I am questioning if this is yet an opportunity to heal old wounds. Anyone who knows me well (and that is no easy feat with me being an intensely private Scorpio) knows that I don’t do vulnerable well.  I am inherently tough and defensive, but this pandemic has brought me to tears on more occasions than I care to admit and I confess to being scared.  I was watching 60 Minutes last week and totally resonated with what Brené Brown said about her difficulty with feeling vulnerable and the fact that we all have to admit that we are afraid in order to find courage and compassion for others.  I am also very mindful of the fact that the third Jupiter Pluto conjunction on November 12, 2020 occurs on my birthday in 22 degrees of Capricorn, which is the same degree of the Saturn Pluto conjunction in January.

On April 7, 2020 we have the biggest super full moon of the year in 18 degrees of Libra.  It’s called a super moon because the moon is extremely close to the earth.  I know that in my home state of Massachusetts, we have been told that the Coronavirus should reach its peak from April 7th through April 17th. I can’t sugarcoat the potential ramifications of this full moon; it will be a deeply emotional time. It will be extremely challenging because it is squaring that Jupiter Pluto conjunction in Capricorn and Mars in Aquarius will be squaring Uranus in Taurus, which is an aspect that screams the urge to break free from restriction and rebel against authority.  That is not exactly conducive energy these days when we are being asked to restrict our physical movements as a matter of life and death.  The fact that this full moon occurs in the relationship oriented sign of Libra further emphasizes the value we place on relationships, especially the relationship we have with ourselves. Libra is also associated with fairness, justice and balance.  This is a time when governments need to work to benefit the people, not just corporations.

Personally, I have always found the annual full moon in Libra to be one of the more challenging full moons but this year that is especially true due to the Coronavirus and the fact that the full moon in 18 degrees of Libra conjuncts my ascendant in 16 degrees of Libra and squares my midheaven in 19 degrees of Cancer.  I am trying to have some gratitude for the fact that this full moon trines my Mars in Aquarius and my Gemini moon.  Maybe that grand air trine will work for me if I exert some effort…

If you are curious as to how all of these planetary changes will be affecting you, please consider getting an astrological reading.  I have recently revised my menu of services and am now offering a Saturn Pluto Conjunction reading for $25 which will offer you some insight and guidance into how this major astrological event that occurred on January 12, 2020 in 22 degrees of Capricorn will impact you.  It’s not too late to purchase this reading because its effects will be felt for most of 2020. It can be purchased through my site at:

I have also added a new reading to my menu of services, a Clues to Compatibility reading, which is designed primarily for non-romantic relationships and utilizes synastry to determine your connections with friends, family members and business associates. Recently I undertook an intensive life purpose coaching training program and became certified as a Life Purpose Coach.  It was an intense, eye-opening experience that changed my life as it caused me to reflect on the story of my life.  But I left it with feelings of hope and light for the future that I want to share with others.  To that end, I am now offering Life Purpose Coaching to my menu of services.  You can read more about it at:

As an astrologer, I have decided to include an interpretation of the north node by sign. If you are feeling stuck and need some help in getting from Point A to Point B in your quest for making positive changes in your life, please email me at lindasim54@gmail.com to schedule a complementary telephone consultation to discover if you are a good fit for this program.  I look forward to hearing from you.

I am also available for tarot readings by telephone.  I use the Celestial Tarot Deck, which I love because it contains so many astrological symbols.  A tarot reading is another great option for obtaining insight and clarity.
