Happy Fall Equinox!
The sun is entering the air sign of Libra at 4:02 pm on September 22,
2017, officially kicking off the fall season.
But many of us may have begun to feel the Libra vibe on September 20,
2017, when the moon entered Libra, prompting me to tweet:

There is a big energy difference between the sun in Virgo
and the sun in Libra. The sun in Virgo
is all business, down to earth (it is after all, an earth sign), very practical
and analytical. Virgo likes to focus on
service to others and health. When the sun enters Libra, we are in for a month
when the focus shifts to finding balance and harmony through relationships with
others and through art. It is a very
social air sign that is the ultimate people pleaser. Libra doesn’t like to rock the boat and there
can be problems with decision making while the sun is transiting Libra. Libra is the sign representing the scales of
justice and it tends to weigh all factors very carefully before rendering a
decision. This is where the notorious quality of Libra indecisiveness comes
into play. I’m sure all of know at least
one Libra who feels the need to ask at least 10 people what they think before making
a decision.
But Libra at its best can be tactful, stylish, tolerant and
sociable. Polite and cooperative are
also accurate descriptions of positive Libra traits. Just be mindful that the shadow side of
Libra, in addition to its indecisiveness, includes a self-serving nature,
passive aggressive behavior and a tendency towards being superficial.
The Libra energy will manifest in whatever house of your
chart it happens to be transiting. For
me, it starts in my 12th house and on October 9th, it
enters my 1st house. Needless
to say, I am counting the days for the 1st house transit. Right now I am dealing with my subconscious,
letting go and themes of retreat, regeneration and rest are paramount. Having the
sun transit the 1st house is a fun time – it is time to be in the
spotlight and put the focus on yourself.
It is me time and I plan on making the most of it. If you are curious as to where this is

On September 24, 2017, Mars in Virgo will be opposing
Neptune in Pisces in 12 degrees of their respective signs. I won’t sugarcoat it; this can be one
challenging transit. It can be
accompanies by feelings of discouragement, weakness and inadequacy. It can also
trigger issues with addiction and substance abuse. The challenge of this
transit is to act with compassion and with a mind towards oneness while being
mindful of the fact that what you resist persists. Resistance can also mean blocking change on
an individual and global level as we feel stuck and literally resist the call
to move forward. And Neptune’s influence
can also make this a prime time for con artists and scammers to emerge while
many of us may be dealing with our own self-deception. This is not an optimal time to be assertive
in career matters because disappointment may result.
All is not gloom and doom with this Mars/Neptune aspect,
however, Remember that Mars is not terribly comfortable in Virgo, while Neptune
has the home court advantage because Neptune is in its home sign of
Pisces. Neptune in Pisces has the power
to link us to universal truth, wisdom and intuition to guide us. It’s a pretty potent package and it can
overrule Mars. The trick of surviving
and prospering with this transit is to regard it as a mirror for deceptions and
hidden agendas. Pay attention to your
dreams and intuition at this time,
On September 28, 2017, the same day that Pluto stations
direct in 16 degrees of Capricorn, we have the third and final Jupiter in Libra
opposition to Uranus in Aries. The first
opposition occurred on December 27, 2016 in 20 degrees when both planets were
direct, and the second opposition occurred on March 7, 2017 in 22 degrees when
Jupiter was retrograde. This time it
will occur in 27 degrees and Uranus is retrograde. Uranus in Aries can be very tough and a real
game changer, while Jupiter in Libra is trying to balance both sides and make
everything work. This aspect has a
strong theme of an increased need for personal freedom and excitement. Many of us will experience a strong urge to
rebel against whatever is holding us back from having fun. Jupiter/Uranus contacts are very
unpredictable and your luck can change in the blink of an eye. I have a natal Jupiter/Uranus conjunction
myself and I can attest to this fact.
This aspect will also be hitting my Neptune in 26 degrees of Libra, so I
know that I will be in its crossfire.
Perhaps the best way to deal with the sense of urgency and need for
change that this transit inspires is to consider a change in beliefs.
