Eclipse
season is officially here with the arrival of a Lunar Eclipse in 27 degrees of
Taurus on November 19. I always tell my
clients that eclipses are like Full or New Moons on steroids, and this one is
no exception to that rule. It would not
be an understatement to say that this has been one super-emotional week. The Sun is in Scorpio, which is fixed water
and those still waters run deep. With
the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus opposing that Scorpio Sun, we are being
challenged to clear out our psychological garbage to get to the joy that the
Taurus Moon promises. If you have been
contemplating therapy, this is a prime time to undertake that process. Don’t
forget that Taurus is ruled by Venus, which is all about love, pleasure and
material security. And the Sun in
Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, which is all about transformation and power.
I have been
hearing from many of my clients that they have been experiencing emotional turmoil
for the past week. Deep down we all know
that change is inevitable, and that is the theme behind this year’s prevailing
aspect of Saturn in Aquarius squaring Uranus in Taurus. We had the first hit on February 17, the
second one on June 14 and the final will occur on December 24. Both Saturn and Uranus were triggered on
November 17, when I tweeted:
The Lunar
Eclipse in Taurus has strong themes of security, stability, finances,
possessions, loyalty and trust. And all
of this is occurring against a backdrop of change and uncertainty. Both the Sun in Scorpio and Moon in Taurus
are involved in a T-Square with Jupiter in 24 degrees of Aquarius. This configuration calls upon us to be more
open-minded as the theme of freedom is blown up. Don’t forget that Jupiter loves to expand
whatever it touches. Mercury is in 22
degrees of Scorpio, so we can expect that some more shocking news will be
revealed. But don’t count out the trine
between Venus in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus to deliver some positive
breakthroughs.
On November
21, the Sun will enter the mutable fire sign of Sagittarius at 9:34 p.m. Not a minute too soon, if you ask this
Scorpio. I know that I love Scorpio
season, but every year I say this that it can be exhausting after all of this
deep diving into the darker side of ourselves and life. When the Sun is in Sagittarius, ruled by
jovial Jupiter, we will all feel more optimistic. Life will become more adventurous
too, as opposed to the arduous nature of the Sun in Scorpio, ruled by the
intense planet of Pluto. Our desires
will switch from wanting one-on-one bonds to reaching out of our inner circle
and connecting with something larger than us.
It is a time to nurture our faith and vision for the future. Let the
good times roll…
Mercury,
the planet of communication, is about to join the Sun in the sign of
Sagittarius on November 24. It’s only
there until December 13, so make the most of it. Mercury transiting the sign of Sagittarius expands
our minds so that we have more perception of the big picture. It’s a big change from the laser-like focus
of Mercury in Scorpio. Our ideals will
become very important now, but the details not so much. Mercury in Sagittarius is intrinsically more
optimistic and since it is in a mutable sign, it gives us permission to change
our minds. After the recent cluster of
fixed planets in Scorpio and the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus, this will be a huge relief.
Just be mindful of the fact that Mercury in Sagittarius can be quite blunt, and
we should be fine.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to
increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were
concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my
in-person Reiki sessions until further notice in order to practice social
distancing. I no longer have my Brookline office, so all of my Reiki sessions
will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki
session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if
you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of
your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they
hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place
when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a
telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their
blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom
consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have
also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I
don’t always have a photo of my client.
I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where

I
urge everyone to engage in massive amounts of self-care and follow the
protective measures of washing your hands frequently, maintaining social
distancing, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, wearing a face mask when necessary
and staying home if you are sick. And get a vaccine. If you are eligible for a
booster shot, get it. The Delta strain of the virus is very serious and we need
to remain vigilant with our masks, even if we are fully vaccinated. I repeat, you do not want to get this virus! I
