Mars Squares Neptune Take Two and a Shift to More Mutable Energy with the Sun and a New Moon in Sagittarius

 

We are still standing and surviving as we near the end of Scorpio season.  Miraculously, we have survived the latest round of eclipses in Scorpio and Taurus that occurred on October 25 and November 8.  Granted, the dust is still clearing but we are coming out of these powerhouse eclipses stronger and ready for transformation.  The Phoenix is rising from the ashes! On a personal level, I experienced the full spectrum.  The Solar Eclipse on October 25 in 2 degrees of Scorpio conjuncted my natal Neptune in Libra and Mercury in Scorpio in my 1st house and I contracted COVID for the second time.  But by the time the Lunar Eclipse in 16 degrees of Taurus opposing my Sun in Scorpio and squaring my Mars in Aquarius happened on November 8, I was feeling much better so that eclipse literally cleared the decks for me and removed what I no longer needed. I still have a little cough and some fatigue but I am on the road to recovery and rebirth.  COVID, be gone!

On November 19, retrograde Mars in Gemini is squaring Neptune in 22 degrees of Pisces for the second time.  The first time was on October 11 when both planets were in 23 degrees of their respective signs.  Mars was direct back then and Neptune was retrograde.  Now both planets are retrograde, but Neptune will be stationing direct on December 3.  This will not be an easy day because there will be plenty of lies, deceit and a foggy vibe.  False information and inaccurate news will run rampant as feelings of confusion, frustration and disillusionment will prevail.  It doesn't help that the Sun is still in Scorpio during this time.  Try to look at it as the last remnants of eclipse season.  If you have any pressing health issues, please attend to them at this time.  We will get another hit of Mars in Gemini squaring Neptune in Pisces on March 14, 2023 but both planets will be direct then.  And this could be easier because I subscribe to the theory that the third time is the charm with recurring aspects.

I know that I say it every year, but I am thrilled that the Sun is finally going to say sayonara to Scorpio on November 22.  There is just so much intensity that even a heavy-duty Scorpio can endure.  Before the Sun leaves Scorpio, it forms a beautiful and flowing trine to Jupiter in 28 degrees of Pisces on November 20.  This will help us to sense the light that is around and release old attachments and resentments.  Scorpio is a sign renowned for its resentments and grudges, but Jupiter is very comfortable in Pisces and can be quite compassionate and sensitive.  So the Scorpio Sun can go out on a high note.  This will also reactivate the energy we experienced on April 12 when Jupiter and Neptune were conjunct in 23 degrees of Pisces.  So Jupiter in Pisces can really complete its mission of blessing us with a more spiritual understanding of life.

The Sun will move into the mutable fire sign of Sagittarius on November 22.  It will join Venus and Mercury, who entered Sagittarius on the 16th and 17th of November. Passion, an increased sense of optimism, enthusiasm and an empowered state of being will be the new way of life for the next month. Our focus will be more outward directed as we seek more of an awareness of the world around us and attempt to see the big picture.  It's a major shift from the intensely focused and private fixed watery Scorpio energy.  Vive la difference!

We will really hit our stride with the Sagittarius vibe on November 23, 2022 with the New Moon in 1 degree of Sagittarius.  Just take a look at that chart; it's what I call a mutable mash.  The Sun, Mercury and Venus have left Scorpio for Sagittarius, Mars is in Gemini, Neptune, Jupiter and Juno are in Pisces, Ceres is in Virgo and even the Ascendant for the time of the New Moon, 5:57 p.m., is in Gemini.  Okay, we still have Uranus in Taurus, Saturn in Aquarius and the Nodes in Taurus and Scorpio, but we finally have some room to breathe and set our intentions for that new reality. New Moons are a perfect time to set our intentions for the future and Sagittarius is a very future-oriented sign. Jupiter is still in Pisces, but it is forming an out-of-sign and element trine to both the Sun and Moon in Sagittarius which can grant us some luck in moving forward.

Jupiter is moving stationary direct in 28 degrees of Pisces on the New Moon, which makes it even more powerful.  It increases our vision for a bigger future.  Freedom and truth will be major themes on the New Moon with Jupiter going direct in Pisces.  Jupiter is finishing up its run in Pisces and will leave for good to cruise through Aries on December 20, 2022.  Just be mindful of the shadow side of Jupiter in Pisces and don't get caught up in a need for escapism or overindulgence.  This should be a pleasant time as the eclipse energy is cleared.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice in order to practice social distancing. I no longer have my Brookline office, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed.
