A Very Busy Week as the Sun and Mercury Enter Libra While Venus Moves into Scorpio

Well, we are in that week between eclipses which can be somewhat uncomfortable. On September 17, we had the first of two eclipses: a Lunar Eclipse in 25 degrees of Pisces.  I posted this on that day:

The Sun and Mercury are getting ready to depart the mutable sign of Virgo for the cardinal air sign of Libra.  But both planets still have a few moves up their sleeves before they leave Virgo.  On September 20, the Sun in Virgo will be opposing Neptune in 28 degrees in Pisces.  This can bring confusion, uncertainty, deception and some second guessing of our plans.  It is not a good day to start new relationships (because nothing or no one is as they appear).  We are also more susceptible to addiction or escapism on this day.  Just giving you a heads up...

On September 21, we have a mixed bag aspect as Mercury in Virgo squares Jupiter in 20 degrees of Gemini.  This can be accompanied by optimism, a positive outlook and a view of the big picture. But the devil can be in the details.  There can be a tendency towards cockiness or exaggeration.

The Sun in Virgo will be trining Pluto in 29 degrees of Capricorn on September 22.  This represents intense and profound experiences but it can also afford us the opportunity to purge what isn't working for us because Pluto also symbolizes elimination and both planets are in the anaretic or critical degrees (29) of their respective signs.

The Sun will enter Libra at 8:44 a.m. on September 22 as our focus shifts to being more sociable, tactful, peacemaking and more cooperative.  We are more amenable to compromise while the Sun is in Libra.  The shadow side of the Sun in Libra is a tendency to be more passive-aggressive and indecisive, however.

Venus is pretty busy on September 22 too.  Venus in Libra squares Pluto in 29 degrees of Capricorn at 5:15 pm on that day and that will stir the pot with power and control issues in relationships.  Watch out for manipulative behavior like jealousy or possessiveness to emerge.

Venus moves into Scorpio at 10:36 p.m. on the 22nd until October 17.  When Venus is in Scorpio, love becomes more intense, passionate and magnetic.  It's an all or nothing vibe.  Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, so we can expect a certain amount of drama and power struggle.  It's not for the faint of heart...

Mercury in Virgo is trining Uranus in 27 degrees of Taurus on September 24.  This is a welcome respite from the square on September 7 when Mercury was in Leo.  It opens our minds to new possibilities and the potential for exciting news.  Intuition is strong and apt to be quite correct on this day.  

Mercury in Virgo trines Pluto in 29 degrees of Capricorn on September 26.  Our words will have strong powers of persuasion on this day and we can be quite influential if we set our minds to it.  It's also favorable for obtaining a psychic reading or starting therapy.

Finally, Mercury enters Libra at 4:09 a.m. on September 26 and remains in Libra until October 13.  Mercury in Libra is characterized by diplomacy, friendliness and a more rational approach to relationships.  Our mental focus is on achieving fairness and balance.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. Relationships Take the Stage with Venus Squaring Mars and Trining Uranus and the Sun Entering Libra

 

Relationships are taking center stage with a great deal of Venus action and the Sun moving into Libra on September 22.  We start off on September 16 with Venus in Virgo forming an exact square to Mars in 14 degrees of Gemini.  This aspect can increase our sex drive, but if we have experiencing any tensions in our relationships, it can create more difficulties as it tends to exacerbate anger, impulsiveness and a lack of self-control. It can have a rather grumpy vibe.  I know that I will be feeling this aspect because Mars is exactly conjunct my Moon in Gemini in the 8th house.

The Sun in Virgo is also in an exact opposition to Neptune in 24 degrees of Pisces on September 16.  This aspect can manifest in low energy and feelings of vulnerability, insecurity and general discouragement.  We are very susceptible to con artists on this day, so if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. So there is no doubt that this will impact relationships.  It will be very easy to get seduced on this day and have nothing to show for it.  The plus side of this aspect is that can bring bursts of creativity and inspiration.  Once again, I am in the line of fire with this action because the Virgo Sun is forming a supportive sextile to my Venus in Scorpio while Neptune is trining it.  But I think I will still need to be careful with finances.  

In case you have been living under a rock, Mercury stationed retrograde on September 9th.  It started out in Libra, which is bound to affect communication in relationships but it enters Virgo on September 23 and stations direct in 24 degrees of Virgo on October 2.   On September 18, retrograde Mercury in Libra will be exactly opposing Jupiter in 4 degrees of Aries.  If this sounds familiar, that is because we previously experienced this aspect on September 2nd.  The characteristics of this aspect are grandiose plans, lack of clarity and a tendency to gloss over details.  This is take two of this aspect and we get to experience it again on October 12 when Mercury is direct and Jupiter is still retrograde in Aries.

On September 20, Venus in Virgo is exactly trining Uranus in 18 degrees of Taurus.  I have a natal Venus/Uranus trine involving Venus in Scorpio and Uranus in Cancer, so I am very familiar with this energy.  We are going to be craving excitement and something new in our lives on this day.  It tends to stimulate our craving for variety and something different.  However, bear in mind that if you do meet someone new at this time, it might not last due to the nature of Uranus being sudden and brief.

The Fall Equinox occurs on September 22 when the Sun enters Libra.  When the Sun is in the cardinal air sign of Libra, our focus is geared towards relationships as we are more open to compromise and negotiation.  We also tend to be more social and tactful, which is always appreciated.  But there is a shadow side to the Sun in Libra: decision-making is more challenging as Libra is the sign that loves to weigh all of the options and that can take forever.  We can also be more superficial and engage in passive-aggressive behavior.  Don't forget that the Sun is considered to be in Fall in Libra because it has a hard time asserting itself due to its need to define itself through relationships.  The Sun is considered to be exalted in Aries because Aries generally has no problems with self-assertion.

Neptune and Jupiter Take Some Hits from the Virgo Posse and Reality Gets Blurred

I know that with the Sun, Mars, Mercury, and Venus in the earth sign of Virgo, we should be feeling more grounded, but the first couple of weeks of September have strong themes of misinterpretation, betrayal and deception running rampant. Reality is definitely going to get quite blurred. How could this be?  Chalk it up to the fact that they will all be squaring Jupiter in Sagittarius during this period and opposing Neptune in Pisces.  And we have been under the influence of a Jupiter/Neptune square for most of 2019.  The next exact hit will occur on September 21, 2019 in 17 degrees of their respective signs. By early October we should be free of this disruptive and confusing influence.

Venus in Virgo has already been acting up.  On September 2, 2019, Venus in Virgo squared Jupiter in Sagittarius, inspiring me to tweet:

We could run into financial or relationship problems today if we become overly optimistic with Venus in Virgo squaring Jupiter in Sagittarius. Don’t get carried away with idealism. #astrology

A couple of days later on September 4, 2019, we experienced Venus in 17 degrees of Virgo opposing Neptune in 17 degrees of Pisces and I tweeted:

We could be experiencing some confusion and/or deception in relationships and finances today as Venus in Virgo opposes Neptune in Pisces.#astrology

Mercury in 15 degrees of Virgo is squaring Jupiter in 15 degrees of Sagittarius on September 6^th and it opposes Neptune in 17 degrees of Pisces on September 7, 2019. With Mercury squaring Jupiter, we may be talking really big plans that don’t have a firm foundation.  Mercury opposing Neptune on the following day can lead to lies, misunderstandings and general confusion.  It’s really a good idea to hold off on making any major decisions at this time if you can.

On September 8, 2019 we also have the sun in 15 degrees of Virgo squaring Jupiter in 15 degrees of Sagittarius.  This aspect can play out as things looking better than they are and it will be incredibly easy to slip up.  The truth can be somewhat distorted and we need to make a conscious effort to be clear in our directions and instructions because Neptune is retrograde.

Retrograde Neptune in Pisces takes a hit on September 10, 2019 when it is opposed by the sun in 17 degrees of Virgo.  This aspect can tend to do a number on our self-confidence by erosion or dissolving (a key Neptune word).  I’d also like to mention here that anyone who has a birthday on September 10^th (give or take five days) is experiencing Neptune opposing their sun, so don’t be too alarmed if you feel like you are doubting yourself.  This too shall pass.

And now for Mars in Virgo.  Mars in 15 degrees of Virgo will be squaring Jupiter in 15 degrees of Sagittarius on September 12, 2019.  This is pretty forceful and high octane energy, but we need to be mindful of the fact that it can make us greedy and lose control.  Mars in 17 degrees of Virgo will be opposing Neptune in 17 degrees of Pisces on September 14, 2019 when we have a full moon in 21 degrees of Pisces.  This aspect can manifest in feelings of discouragement, weakness and inadequacy.  Self-deception can really be out greatest enemy at this time.

The bottom line with this lineup of Virgo planets squaring Jupiter in Sagittarius and opposing Neptune in Pisces is that our plans are getting a major reality check.  We may endure some pain during this process but it is also an opportunity for growth.  But Saturn in Capricorn is actually helping us with this process because it receives beneficial trines from Venus in Virgo on September 1^st, Mercury in Virgo on September 5^th, the sun in Virgo on September 6^th, and Mars in Virgo on September 9^th.  Hold onto that thought and acknowledge that Mars trining Saturn can be instrumental in making any project that we undertake a success if we manage to stay centered, calm and persevere amid the chaos of the squares and oppositions to Jupiter and Neptune.
