Mars and Saturn Work Together, Uranus Takes Some Hits and a Full Moon in Leo

 

February is the shortest month of the year, but it is no slouch in terms of action in 2025.  On February 4, Venus moved into Aries and Jupiter stationed direct in Gemini after being retrograde since October 2024.

On February 9, Mars in Cancer will be exactly trining Saturn in 19 degrees of Pisces. This is a big deal because it means that these two planets are actually working together.  I have a natal Mars-Saturn square, so I know first-hand what it means to have these two planets at cross purposes with each other. When Mars is trining Saturn, ambition and perseverance rule.  It is a perfect time to take on those hard tasks to get the job done.  Patience and self-discipline prevail.  It's also possible to obtain support from authority figures, so get busy this day.  Your efforts will pay off.

Mercury in Aquarius will be squaring Uranus in 23 degrees of Taurus on February 10.  This aspect can bring excitement to our daily routines, but it can cause upsets and nervous tension.  We can be feeling like excitement junkies, but the potential exists for us to miss important information.

The Sun in Aquarius is squaring Uranus in 23 degrees of Taurus on February 11 and this is bound to generate uneasy feelings regarding impending changes.  The ego is strong, so watch out for angry outbursts.  The best advice that I can give for coping with this aspect is to channel this energy constructively by being proactive about change.

And the piece de resistance arrives on February 12 with a Full Moon in 24 degrees of Leo. The Full Moon in Leo is also called the Snow Moon because it tends to be a time when there is snow in winter.  But it also emphasizes creativity, self-expression and stepping into the spotlight.  Embrace that inner child that is crying to get out. Be bold because courage is also associated with the Full Moon in Leo.

The Full Moon in Leo also squares Uranus in 23 degrees of Taurus, which can manifest as rapid mood changes, irritability, impulsiveness and a general lack of patience.  Feelings of rebellion are likely and we could be encountering outbursts from friends or family.

The Full Moon is also opposing Mercury in 27 degrees of Aquarius, which could play out as making decisions that actually liberate us.  There is also a T-square configuration involving the  Sun in 24 degrees of Aquarius, the Moon in 24 degrees of Leo and Uranus in 23 degrees of Taurus.  This involves themes of freedom, surprises, and potential volatility in currency.  Technology secrets could also come to light.

Obviously this Full Moon will have the strongest impact on anyone who has planets in 22 to 27 degrees of the fixed signs of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio.  Once again, I am right in the cross hairs of this Full Moon with my Venus and Ceres in Scorpio and Pluto in Leo.  The Full Moon falls in my 11th house conjunct my Pluto and inconjuncts my Chiron in Capricorn in my 4th house.  So this definitely won't be a quiet time for me...

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. Mars Enters Cancer, Mercury and Jupiter Get Together and Venus and Uranus Hook Up

 

The month of March has seen quite a bit of change with Saturn entering Pisces on March 7, Pluto entering Aquarius on the 23rd and Mars is about to join the fray when it moves into Cancer on March 25.  Mars has been in Gemini since August 2022 due to its retrograde from October 30, 2022 through January 12, 2023.  I don't know about you, but I am thrilled to see Mars finally get out of Gemini.  It was conjunct my Moon and I was not a happy camper.

I know that traditional astrology knowledge states that Mars is in fall in Cancer, since it is exalted in the opposite sign of Capricorn, but I will take it over the last eight months of Mars in Gemini.  Mars in Cancer is not that comfortable expressing aggression.  It tends to be described as passive-aggressive.  Our actions can be reactive and oversensitive.  Cancer is ruled by the Moon, so we can expect to be more irritable and moody.  It will be an emotional roller coaster until Mars leaves Cancer on May 20, 2023.  But Mars in Cancer can be very constructive energy for domestic tasks (hello, Spring cleaning) and fighting for family rights.  Of course, it can also generate some squabbles on the home front.

But Mars in Cancer will be trining Saturn in 2 degrees of Pisces on March 30.  Mars and Saturn are not exactly compatible, but trust me, a trine beats a square, opposition or inconjunct aspect.  I speak from experience on this count because I have a natal Mars-Saturn square.  Talk about being your own worst enemy!  Mars trining Saturn does confer strength, ambition and perseverance.  It is a time to pursue your passion.  It is actually a good blend of initiative and patience.  Mars trining Saturn makes it easier to pay attention to details and we can actually make some progress through disciplined action.  If you have any tasks on your to-do list, this is the time to tackle them.

On March 28, Mercury and Jupiter are conjunct in 18 degrees of Aries.  This is a real feel-good vibe full of good news, optimism and a desire to be more social.  It is easy to express yourself more openly and enthusiastically.  It has a very future-oriented quality that is perfect for travel and study.  It is also great energy for settling disputes and negotiations, so make the most of this day.

We have another aspect on March 30 that makes it a memorable and potentially pleasant day.  Venus and Uranus are conjunct in 16 degrees of Taurus.  Venus is very happy in the sign of Taurus because it rules Taurus, while Uranus is very uncomfortable in Taurus, but we have been dealing with that since May 2018.  But when Venus and Uranus hook up in Taurus, we can experience sudden changes in love and/or money.  It is entirely possible to have some financial windfalls, but we can also be hit with the urge to splurge and the subsequent buyer's remorse.  Our desires can change, so be open to trying new things in your relationships.  And our creativity can soar as well on this day.

A Relatively Peaceful and Quiet Week with Saturn in Aquarius Receiving Some Beneficial Aspects

 

Rarely do I say this, but we actually have a fairly quiet week ahead astrologically.  The month of November started out particularly intense on the heels of a Solar Eclipse in Scorpio on October 25 and we had more drama with the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus on November 8.  This year's Scorpio season lived up to its hype accompanied by a square from Mars in Gemini to Neptune in Pisces on November 19, but on November 16 Mercury entered Sagittarius, Venus followed suit on November 17 and on November 22, the Sun entered Sagittarius.  And on November 23, we had a New Moon in Sagittarius with Jupiter also stationing direct in Pisces.  We are no longer dealing with a plethora of planets in water signs and the energy from the recent eclipses is finally clearing.  Okay, we still have the South Node of the Moon in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces, but Jupiter is moving forward in Pisces (where it is really happy, by the way), on course to enter the fire sign of Aries on December 20. It's quite a change when the energy shifts from the fixed water sign of Scorpio to the mutable fire sign of Sagittarius.  I loved what astrologer Kathy Rose said about it as going from the darkness to the light.  Just because Jupiter is direct and we have more planets in fire signs doesn't mean that everything is suddenly going to turn out perfect, but we now have hope for the future.

On November 28, Mars in Gemini will be trining Saturn in 19 degrees of Aquarius. This is one instance where Mars and Saturn hanging out is a good thing.  Mars trining Saturn is a time to follow your passions because we have the energy, strength, ambition and perseverance to get things done.  It can be a time of smooth sailing in terms of achieving your goals, so make the most of this day.  Trust me on this one because I have Mars in Aquarius squaring Saturn in Scorpio and this is not the most harmonious combination.

Mercury in Sagittarius will be forming a supportive sextile to Saturn in 19 degrees of  Aquarius on November 29.  This aspect favors discipline, organizational skills, a clear mind and good judgment.  We are on a roll.  Just be mindful of the fact that Mercury is also opposing Mars in Gemini on the same day and don't get caught up shooting yourself in the foot with impulsive retorts.

Venus in Sagittarius will be sextiling Saturn in 19 degrees of Aquarius on December 1.  On this day we will feel relationships more seriously and deeply.  But Venus in Sagittarius is also opposing retrograde Mars in 18 degrees of Gemini on the same day and this could well be the most disruptive aspect of the week.  Venus opposing Mars will ramp up the sexual tension and desire nature.  If there are any unresolved issues in relationships, tempers could flare.  This aspect also has the potential to bring financial losses if we have not been prudent with our funds. But this will definitely add some fuel to the love fires.
