Mercury has been sailing through the mutable water sign of Pisces since March 9, but it is about to switch gears and move into the cardinal fire sign of Aries on March 27. Mercury in Pisces is very dreamy, nebulous and sometimes quite foggy, but it has made some major aspects in its short transit. On March 21, Mercury and Neptune were conjunct in Pisces and on that day I tweeted:
Before Mercury departs the sign of Pisces, it makes one powerhouse of an aspect when it forms a supportive sextile to Pluto in 28 degrees of Capricorn on March 26, 2022. Mark my words, there will be a depth and intensity to our thinking and conversations on that day. This is a great aspect for astrologers, psychics and healers because it has a deep dive quality. Our willpower will be at an all-time high. Magnetism and allure will be off the charts as our powers of persuasion will be very strong. And it is possible to uncover more secrets with this aspect in play. We could be feeling more empowered to embark on a new course of action when these two planets are in cahoots.
On March 27, Mercury moves into Aries until April 10, 2022. Aries season kicked off on March 20 when the Sun entered Aries. When Mercury is in Aries, communication will become more assertive, direct, creative and fearless. It will spice up conversations and ideas. Mercury in Aries will take us out of the doldrums of Mercury in Pisces, which had a rather confusing vibe. When Mercury is in Aries, we tend to be more impatient and impulsive with a tendency to look before we leap. That is the shadow side of Mercury in Aries, which can also make us more inconsiderate of others' feelings as we are primarily focused on ourselves. But it does generate a blast of fresh air to our mental process, so make the most of it and try to be mindful of others.
Impatience seems to be a key theme that is prevalent these days and Mercury in Aries will exacerbate our impatience. I hear it from friends, clients and have been experiencing my own share of impatience in life. Sometimes I feel that it is hard to believe that all of the planets are in direct motion until April 29 when Pluto stations retrograde because progress seems so slow. The general feeling is that things are not happening fast enough. I was wondering what could be causing this when I realized that the North Node of the Moon in 23 degrees of Taurus was squaring Saturn in 20 degrees of Aquarius. Talk about a test of patience! This aspect can produce pessimism and a feeling that it is easy to be stuck in the past as it challenges us to overcome obstacles. And it takes longer than we like for progress to be achieved. Of course, while the North Node, or our soul's goal, is in Taurus, the South Node, or our karmic baggage, is in Scorpio. So if you have any planets in 20-25 degrees of the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, you are probably experiencing enormous challenges. My Sun and Venus in Scorpio are taking some major hits these days. And my Pluto in Leo had its share in January and February when the North and South Nodes were squaring it.
I have a natal sextile between my north node in Capricorn and my Saturn in Scorpio. Sextiles are a lot easier to deal with than squares. I do feel that my sextile has pushed and supported me to develop more self-reliance and self-discipline in my life. I don't consider myself to be a patient person due to a natal square between Mars in Aquarius and Saturn in Scorpio, but I am grateful for my organizational skills and sense of responsibility.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice in order to practice social distancing. I no longer have my Brookline office, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client. I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. I urge everyone to engage in massive amounts of self-care and follow the protective measures of washing your hands frequently, maintaining social distancing, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, wearing a face mask when necessary and staying home if you are sick.
