Venus and Jupiter Party in Cancer Followed by a Major Reality Check with Mercury Squaring Saturn

 

Save the date of June 9 as possibly the luckiest day of 2026.  The year so far has been quite turbulent, to put it mildly, and the second half of June will really heat up once Venus enters Leo, the New Moon in Gemini, a Full Moon in Capricorn on the same day as Mercury retrogrades in Cancer and Jupiter enters Leo on June 30.  Some of us are still reeling and in aftershock mode  from the Full Moon in Sagittarius that occurred on May 31, so we will take one incredibly lucky day headed our way.  This could very well be the calm before the storm and the fireworks that will commence in July.

Venus and Jupiter are only conjunct in Cancer every 12 years.  Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, too, so this is quite literally a big deal.  The last time these two benefics were conjunct in Cancer was on August 18, 2014.  Ironically, they were also conjunct in Cancer on July 4, 1776, which is noteworthy for the United States, which is a Cancer country and celebrating its 250th birthday this year.  When Venus and Jupiter are conjunct in 25 degrees of Cancer on June 9, there will be strong themes of big love, abundance and good fortune.  Cancer is a very heart-centered sign that loves its home and nurturing.  Security is very important to us when these two planets are hooking up in Cancer.  Money could be coming our way.  It's also a perfect time to fall in love and take advantage of whatever financial offers come our way.  This aspect is conjunct my natal Jupiter Uranus conjunction in Cancer and trining my Venus in Scorpio, so I am looking forward to it.

Above all else, use this transit to nurture yourself, which is what the cardinal water sign of Cancer is all about.  The water signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces should experience a surge in creativity, romantic fulfillment and charisma.  This is why it could literally feel like the luckiest day of the year.  Venus is associated with love, money and creativity while Jupiter's forte is expansion, growth, optimism and good fortune.  The Moon is in Aries, the cardinal fire sign on that day, so don't be afraid to take some action to nurture your soul.

We could be facing a harsh reality check on June 10 when Mercury in Cancer is squaring Saturn in 12 degrees of Aries.  On this day we are facing challenges and limitations in communication as negative thinking and misunderstandings are likely to happen. Mercury squaring Saturn can also create distance and separations in close relationships.  Just try to remember that it is a temporary influence.  Use this time to review and restructure current plans.  Mental discipline is required to navigate this transit.  Saturn is all about discipline, structure and responsibility.  Communication might deliver some harsh criticism too with these two planets, Mercury and Saturn, in a square which is bound to create some tension.

This is probably the quietest and calmest week of June, so do your best to make the most of that Venus Jupiter conjunction and then face reality on the following day after the cosmic party ends.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. August Heats Up with a Full Moon in Aquarius, Mercury Goes Direct in Leo and a Venus-Jupiter Conjunction in Cancer

 

We have a super-charged Full Moon in 17 degrees of Aquarius coming up on August 9, 2025.  Mars recently entered sibling air sign Libra on August 6 and it's already been very busy.  Mars in Libra trines Uranus in Gemini on August 8 and also opposed Saturn in 1 degree of Aries on the same day.  Mars trining Uranus can lead to breakthroughs but its opposition to Saturn can slow us down and make us question the structures in our lives. Mars opposing Saturn while trining Uranus can make us feel like we are raring to move forward, but we keep getting pulled back.  It's a classic one step forward, two steps backward motion which can be very frustrating.

The major theme of a Full Moon in Aquarius is how to balance our individuality with the need to contribute to the collective.  That's a pretty big order to fill these days.  On the Full Moon we also have Mars in Libra opposing Neptune in 1 degree of Aries.  Our dreams and faith are being tested with the potential for confusion and exhaustion.  Patience is needed as we deal with the back-and-forth motion of Uranus, Saturn and Neptune interacting with Mars.  There are real obstacles and roadblocks, so it's going to take some time to get the results we want.  Don't be in denial about it.

This Full Moon in Aquarius is falling in the end of my 4th house and is in a three-degree separating orb from my Mars in Aquarius.  So there is absolutely no way that I am escaping the tension of this one....

Mars in Libra will be trining Pluto in 2 degrees of Aquarius on August 10, which will give us a boost of energy and sense of empowerment. It also means that we have received a Grand Trine in Air since Mars entered Libra on August 6: it trined Uranus in Gemini on the 8th and now on the 10th it trines Pluto in Aquarius.  I have a natal Grand Air Trine involving my Libra Ascendant, Moon in Gemini and Mars in Aquarius, so I can attest that this is very positive.  It's good stuff, so take advantage of whatever opportunities present themselves to you.  One thing I can tell you is that you really need to do something when opportunity knocks.  It's quite literally a case of when you snooze, you lose otherwise.

On August 11, Mercury finally stations direct in 4 degrees of Leo.  I don't know about you, but this has been one brutal Mercury retrograde.  I think that the fixed signs of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio bore the brunt of it.  Mercury has been retrograde since July 18, but it entered the shadow period on June 30.  It will clear its retrograde shadow on August 25 when Mercury is in 15 degrees of Leo.  But we can rejoice in the fact that things will get back on track with communication, transportation and with electronics.  The chaos and drama are starting to recede.

We have one really beautiful and lucky aspect to look forward to on August 12.  Venus and Jupiter (aka the Benefics) are conjunct in 14 degrees of Cancer on that day.  Good fortune, love and abundance could be coming your way on this day when these two planets meet up.  Don't forget that Jupiter is exalted in the sign of Cancer.  This is a day to plant the seeds for our desires to be fulfilled.  I am looking forward to it because this conjunction is five degrees away from my Cancer Midheaven and trining both my Sun and Jupiter in Scorpio. Enjoy the day and prepare to reap the bounty of these two planets converging...
