The month of February has been action-packed and although it
is the shortest month of the year, it is by no means a slouch when it comes to
astrological activity. We had a Mercury retrograde in Aquarius, a pile-up of
six planets in Aquarius on the New Moon on the 11th, and the month
will end with a Full Moon in 8 degrees of Virgo on February 27. This Full Moon is sometimes referred to as the
Snow Moon because February traditionally sees a lot of snow. I’m sure that the state of Texas will not
dispute that fact this year.
Full Moons are all about closure, completion and
resolution. I have no doubt that we
could see some major secrets revealed at this Full Moon. We had a New Moon in 25 degrees of Virgo on
September 17, 2020. Think back to what
was happening in your life back then; if you started a new project then, you
might be reaping the fruits of your labors. The themes associated with a Virgo
moon involve health, jobs, discernment. Perfectionism, and our daily
routines. The pandemic has certainly
wreaked havoc on our health, economy and the way we conduct our lives.
The Sun in Pisces is naturally opposing that Full Moon and
that brings a certain amount of pain to the table. Pisces is a sensitive water sign and with the
Sun there opposing the Moon in Virgo, we might find ourselves in the process of
dissolving some very painful experiences that were highly upsetting. Who among
us in America was not moved this past week by the grim milestone of 500,000
deaths from COVID-19? But we also need
to remember that since Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac it can indicate a
time to release those painful experiences.
Healing is a major theme of this Full Moon because the Moon
is inconjunct Chiron in 7 degrees of Aries.
Inconjuncts are those irritating, uncomfortable aspects (one sign away
from being an opposition at 150 degrees) that require us to make some
adjustments for the two planets to coexist.
Our emotional expectations could very well need an overhaul for healing
to occur. We also have the Full Moon
inconjunct Saturn in 7 degrees of Aquarius which requires us to be cautious as
part of the adjustment process. There are two other inconjuncts to Mercury in
12 degrees of Aquarius and Jupiter in 16 degrees of Aquarius, which involve
communication and expansion. The Virgo Moon
also opposes Neptune in 20 degrees of Pisces, so there needs to be some balance
in our expectations. But the best part
of this Full Moon is that it forms a flowing, beneficial trine to Uranus in 7
degrees in Taurus and this can restore a sense of harmony to our lives. We’ll take it.
On March 3 Mars moves from the fixed earth sign of Taurus
to the mutable air sign of Gemini, where it stays until April 23, 2021. Mars spent six months in Aries in 2020 and
for the first six days of 2021 due to a retrograde. Mars in Aries was not exactly friendly to
Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn in 2020 with all of those squares, but on
February 24th, it did redeem itself with a trine to Pluto in 25
degrees of Capricorn. On that day I
tweeted:
What can we expect when Mars is transiting the sign of
Gemini? Mars in Gemini is more flexible
than Mars in Taurus, which could be down-right stubborn. We are motivated to find new ideas and
explore more diverse options. The shadow
side of Mars in Gemini is that it is more challenging to stay on track and we
are likely to be less focused and more scattered. But the brain is very appealing and sexy
during the time Mars cruises through Gemini.
A mental connection could be more important than a fleeting physical
attraction. And in terms of motivation, Mars in Gemini will be conjuncting the
North Node in 13 degrees of Gemini on March 27, 2021 and this should serve as
an adrenaline jolt of energy to achieve our collective goals that benefit the
greater good for all.

The coronavirus outbreak is causing me
to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people are
concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my
in-person Reiki sessions until further notice in order to practice social
distancing. I recently learned that I no longer have my Brookline office, so
all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable
future. When it becomes clearer that the virus no longer poses a threat, I will
find a new space to practice. In the meantime, a distant Reiki session is the
perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have
contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your
home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope
to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when
they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a
telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their
blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom
consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have
also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I
don’t always have a photo of my client.
I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where

urge everyone to engage in massive amounts of self-care and follow the
