Mercury and Venus Enter Pisces While Mars and Jupiter Clash

 

How is everyone surviving the month of February so far?  It kicked off with a roaring Full Moon in Leo on February 1. And two days later we had Uranus station direct in Taurus for its final run in Taurus before it enters Gemini on April 25 for the next seven years.  As I have mentioned previously February, although a short month, will pack quite the punch with Saturn moving into Aries, a Solar Eclipse in Aquarius, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries and Mercury retrograde.  The upcoming week will probably be the least astrologically active.

On February 6, Mercury enters Pisces for an extended stay until April 14 due to the upcoming Mercury retrograde on February 26.  When Mercury is in Pisces, communication tends to be more dreamy, intuitive and creative but we can be prone to escapist fantasies.  This will be especially true when Mercury is retrograde, which is happening from February 26 through March 20.  Mercury rules Virgo and Gemini, so it is not as focused in the mutable water sign of Pisces. And if you have any personal planets in the mutable signs of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius, you will experience heightened sensitivity to your environment and more vivid dreams. When I say personal planets, I mean the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars and Venus because our identity, emotions, communication, values (including what and whom we love) and action are affected. Our mental processes will be more fluid. Mercury will be conjunct the North Node in 9 degrees of Pisces on February 12, so watch for fated conversations as new information can be revealed that impacts our future.  The North Node represents our soul's destination.

Venus will move into Pisces on February 10 until March 6.  Venus is exalted in Pisces, so it is a very happy camper here.  Unconditional love and soul-centered connections are associated with Venus in Pisces.  Creativity soars and we can feel higher levels of compassion.  Our defenses are dissolved when Venus is in Pisces as our armor comes down. We find it easier to get in touch with our vulnerability, but boundaries can get blurred, so be mindful not to lose yourself.  Don't forget that the shadow side of Pisces can involve being a victim or martyr. We don't want to fall into that trap.

Mars in Aquarius will be forming an irritating inconjunct with Jupiter in 16 degrees of Cancer on February 12.  Inconjuncts always require some kind of adjustment because the two planets are in signs that are definitely not on the same page.  Assertiveness and over-extension are the major themes with these two planets inconjunct. Try to be patient and reflect, even though it will be challenging to do so.  Don't rush into big decisions, take risks or start arguments.  And be mindful not to make promises that you can't keep.  I know that I will be feeling this aspect because my Mars is in 14 degrees of Aquarius and my Midheaven is in 19 degrees of Cancer.  So I will definitely have to practice what I am preaching...

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. The Sun, Mercury and Venus in Aries Get Very Busy Before Retrograde Venus Re-enters Pisces

 

There is definitely an Aries vibe present these days.  The Sun just entered Aries on March 20, marking the start of the astrological new year as it joined Mercury and Venus.  These three planets frequently travel together in the same sign. I personally have my Sun, Mercury and Venus in Scorpio.

On March 21, Venus in Aries is forming a supportive sextile with Pluto in 3 degrees of Aquarius.  This will intensify our desire for love and companionship as it becomes a priority in our life.  Existing relationships can become more spiritual. If you are unattached, you could meet someone that you become obsessed with.  So this kicks off a theme of dating for the weekend.

The Sun and Venus are conjunct in 3 degrees of Aries on March 22.  The focus on companionship will continue.  The themes of harmony, pleasure and finances are also emphasized.  Beauty is important to us now, so pampering might be on the agenda for some.  Just don't do anything drastic like plastic surgery now because Venus is retrograde.  Artistic and creative pursuits are also getting a cosmic green light.  I have a natal Sun-Venus conjunction in Scorpio with my Venus retrograde, so I am partial to this aspect.  

The Sun in Aries has its own sextile with Pluto in 3 degrees of  Aquarius on March 23.  This is a day to harness those obsessive or compulsive tendencies to complete difficult tasks because there is a strong need to succeed.  This aspect also amps up our sense of power and attractiveness.  Try to use this power constructively to help others so that you will reap the benefits.

The Sun and Mercury are conjunct in 4 degrees of Aries on March 24.  We can expect more mental alertness and an emphasis on communication as ideas are bound to be shared.  Don't be surprised if you wind up taking more short trips now, but with Mercury being retrograde, please allow more time for travel.

Mercury in Aries is forming a supportive sextile to Pluto in 3 degrees of Aquarius on March 25.  We can definitely expect more depth and intensity in our thinking and communication on this day.  Probing and getting to the bottom of things are major themes.  It's also a perfect opportunity to study and do some research into whatever has been intriguing you.

As I mentioned earlier, Venus is retrograde and on March 27, it re-enters Pisces until April 30.  Venus will station direct in 24 degrees of Pisces on April 7.  Venus is exalted in the mutable water sign of Pisces and it was previously in Pisces from January 2 through February 4, 2025.  So if you didn't reap the benefits back then, you have another shot.

When Venus is in Pisces, it is easier to blur personal boundaries and be more idealistic, compassionate and empathetic.  It also fosters creativity and inspires us to engage in more self-care.  We can find it easier to let go of control in relationships too.  But just be mindful that the shadow side of Venus in Pisces a tendency to be the martyr or victim.  Hopefully we got our gullibility out of the way during the first transit of Venus in Pisces in January and February.

Mercury will be re-entering Pisces on March 29, which is also the day of the Solar Eclipse in 9 degrees of Aries.  More to come on those events in next week's post.

Venus Squares Uranus, Moves into Pisces, Chiron Stations Direct and a New Moon in Capricorn

 

The year 2024 is finally coming to an end and December holds the distinction of featuring two New Moons.  The first one occurred on December 1 in 9 degrees of Sagittarius and the second one falls on December 30 in 9 degrees of Capricorn.  This earns the moniker of a Black Moon.  I confess that when I posted my December monthly horoscopes I completely left out that New Moon, but it will be addressed in January 2025 horoscopes.

But before we get to the New Moon in Capricorn, we have two major astrological events.  Venus in Aquarius is exactly squaring Uranus in 23 degrees of Taurus on December 28.  Venus squaring Uranus can trigger sudden attractions to a completely different kind of person, but mainly it can bring about an intense need for freedom and space in relationships.  There could be some break-ups as a result.  Since Venus is also associated with money, it can be responsible for some major impulse spending too.  And let's face it, tis the season for post-holiday sales...

On December 29, Chiron will station direct in 19 degrees of Aries after being retrograde since July 26, 2024 in 23 degrees of Aries.  When Chiron is retrograde, we tend to reflect on past pain and unresolved issues.  I encourage you to examine where 19-23 degrees of Aries falls in your chart or have a consultation with me.  It's important to remember that pivotal events are likely to occur when a planet stations either direct or retrograde, magnifying its power.  

Chiron in Aries pertains to wounds related to independence and self-assertion.  When Chiron stations direct, we can feel more heroic and feel freer to move forward.  I am a big believer in the power of Chiron to heal because I have Chiron in Capricorn in my 4th house as part of a cardinal T-square; it opposes my natal Jupiter and Uranus in Cancer and squares my Neptune in Libra.  I can honestly say that having Pluto in Capricorn on my natal Chiron was an extremely intense transit and now Chiron in Aries is squaring my natal Chiron, so the healing process is by no means over.  I will be feeling it through May 2025.

The New Moon in 9 degrees of Capricorn happens on December 30, which can be a perfect time to set those New Year's resolutions and build a new reality.  Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and is associated with achievement, security and practicality.  We also have a mutable T-square involving Mercury in 18 degrees of Sagittarius opposing Jupiter in 13 degrees of Gemini with both planets squaring Saturn in 14 degrees of Pisces.  The theme of this configuration is that our belief systems will probably be tested and we need to guard against being too rigid.  But this New Moon is also forming a supportive sextile to Saturn in Pisces, so there will be opportunities presented to us so we should act on them.  And Mars in 2 degrees of Leo is trining the North Node in 1 degree of Aries, which has an energizing effect on new beginnings.  The New Moon is conjunct my North Node in Capricorn in my 3rd house, which should be quite interesting...

On January 2, Venus moves into its happy place of Pisces.  Venus is exalted in Pisces.  Venus in Pisces is more compassionate and empathetic.  It can be a very spiritual and creative time as well.  There is the potential for emotional highs and lows when Venus is in Pisces.  The shadow side of Venus in Pisces is a tendency to become a victim or be gullible in relationships or with finances.  Just be careful to set some boundaries and we should be able to enjoy this transit.

I urge everyone to engage in massive amounts of self-care and follow the protective measures of washing your hands frequently, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, wearing a face mask when necessary and staying home if you are sick. And get a vaccine. The newest vaccine is available and I encourage you to get it to protect yourself. I repeat, you do not want to get this virus! A Wild Week Ahead with Mercury and Neptune Meeting up in Pisces, Mars Squaring Uranus, Mercury Entering Aries and a New Moon in Pisces

 

Remember how I said that last week was indicating calm energy to start the month of March? Well, scratch that because this is one month that is coming in like a lamb and going out like a lion.  On March 8, Mercury and Neptune are conjunct 27 degrees of Pisces. This will definitely impact our thinking and communication in either a positive or negative manner.  We can be more psychic and intuitive, but the lower-level manifestation of this energy can involve deception, confusion and paranoia.  The fact that this conjunction occurs in the mutable water sign of Pisces can support the deceit theme but it can also deliver profound spiritual insight.  I have heard so many stories this week of people having their financial accounts hacked and false charges on their credit cards racked up, so I urge everyone to exercise extreme caution and vigilance.  I have a natal Mercury-Neptune conjunction in my 1st house, so I am no stranger to this energy. I am extremely psychic and sensitive to other people's vibrations and have tried to channel it constructively in my work.  But I am fully aware of its capacity to deceive and leave me vulnerable to feeling like a victim or martyr. And I discovered many years ago that I need to protect myself from the flood of emotions that surround me or risk emotional drowning.  White light became my best friend and protector.  Mercury conjunct Neptune can also be responsible for generating rumors and dissolving things that are no longer working for us. Situations or people could be fading from our lives.

On March 9, Mars in Aquarius will be exactly squaring Uranus in 19 degrees of Taurus.  Let's face it, most of us have been feeling the urge to break free from restrictions and rebel against authority that has been cramping down on us for some time. It has been building for the past week.  We are probably going to feel like acting rashly without regard for the outcome and this can lead to disruption and conflict.  It can also lead to accidents, so I urge everyone to be especially careful on this day. The big question is where it playing out for you.  For me, Mars in Aquarius is in my 5th house and Uranus in Taurus is in my 8th house.

On the same day, the Sun in Pisces is forming a supportive sextile to Uranus in 19 degrees of Taurus.  At least this aspect can deliver some pleasant surprises, as it is an easy and flowing influence that can encourages trying something new and exciting. But because Uranus is involved and we are still on the heels of the Mars-Uranus square, a little caution is still called for on this day to avoid any accidents or mishaps. We just might benefit from increased self-awareness.

Mercury is entering Aries as well on March 9.  And it will be in Aries until May 15 because guess what?  Mercury will be retrograde from April 1 to April 25.  When Mercury is in Aries, we are very assertive and tend to open up the lines of communication. We are inclined to say exactly what we are thinking and feeling.  We also have more courage to do so (Aries is ruled by the planet Mars) but we can also be more impulsive.  It can be a time when we communicate in a very blunt manner and make quick decisions.  A lot of important news could be forthcoming with Mercury in Aries for this extended period of time.

All of this leads up to a Super New Moon in 20 degrees of Pisces on March 10, 2024.  It is a Super Moon because it is so close to the earth. And it is the doorway to eclipse season that officially commences on March 25 with a Lunar Eclipse in Libra that will impact relationships in a big way. This will be a very emotional New Moon infused with a jolt of creativity and a desire to launch our dreams.  This New Moon is also conjunct Neptune in 27 degrees of Pisces, so I especially encourage you to visualize what you want and plant those seeds. Mercury in Aries is also forming a supportive sextile to Pluto in 1 degree of Aquarius on the New Moon, which will add more depth and intensity to our thinking and conversations.  And it can reveal some big secrets.

On March 11, Venus enters Pisces until April 5. Venus is exalted in the sign of Pisces, so it is definitely a happy camper here.  When Venus is in Pisces, we are more compassionate, empathetic and capable of unconditional love.  But emotions can be all over the place, as Pisces is the mutable water sign, after all.  Don't forget to set boundaries in relationships or you could wind up feeling like a martyr.  This is a highly spiritual placement for Venus and our creativity can also flourish.  We should also remember to use this energy to forgive ourselves as well as others.  Since the planet Venus also pertains to finances, try not to make any major economic decisions now because it is far too easy to be gullible now.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. A More Mellow Week as Venus Enters Pisces, the Sun and Mars Get Along and Mercury Meets up with Uranus Take 3

 

We should be feeling calmer and more at peace than last week when we had the Sun entering Aquarius, a New Moon in Aquarius and Uranus stationing direct on January 22.  It was a very Uranian week, to say the least, and I am sure that most of us have felt rattled by the recent Uranus station.

But on January 26, Venus left the sign of Aquarius to enter its happy place, the mutable water sign of Pisces.  Venus can be very detached in Aquarius and can have quite the edge to it.  Don't forget that Uranus rules Aquarius. While Venus rules Taurus and Libra, it is considered to be exalted in Pisces.  It is a softer and gentler vibe that embraces the themes of unconditional love, empathy and compassion.  We will have a tendency to want to work together to make love work.  The shadow side of Venus in Pisces is that we tend to look at life through rose-colored glasses and that our boundaries are not that strong.  Venus will be in Pisces until February 20, so enjoy it while it lasts.

We have a couple of trines occurring on January 29 that should make all of us a lot happier.  One of them involves Mars in Gemini, which is still out of bounds, but we will take it.  Mars has been in Gemini since August 21, 2022 and won't leave Gemini until March 25, 2023.  It was not the easiest Mars retrograde, to be sure.  The other trine features Mercury and Uranus, which are both now direct.

The Sun in Aquarius will be exactly trining Mars in 9 degrees of Gemini on January 29.  This is a delightful aspect that provides a jolt of energy and gives us more confidence and enthusiasm.  We want to socialize and take more risks.  This favors romance too and any kind of physical activity because there is added energy.  I have a natal Sun-Mars square, which is definitely not so nice or easy.  The Sun will be conjunct my Mars and Mars will be conjunct my Gemini Moon, so I am looking forward to this aspect.

Mercury in Capricorn will exactly trining Uranus in 14 degrees of Taurus on January 29 too.  This is the third time this aspect has occurred.  The first hit happened on December 17, 2022 when Mercury was direct and Uranus was retrograde and the second one occurred on January 8, 2023 when both planets were retrograde.  Mercury trining Uranus can bring exciting news and brilliant ideas.  Breakthroughs are possible and our intuition is very strong.  Computers and technology could factor in heavily on this day too.  There is an added bonus with this trine being in earth signs: we can be more grounded and solidify our brilliant ideas.  And, since it is the third time this aspect occurs, it literally could be the charm for implementing new ideas. So let's get going...
