A Power-Packed Full Moon in Libra and the Sun Enters Taurus


 

I realize that most of us are still awash in the emotional pull of the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces of April 12, but we have even more intensity in store for us on April 16 with the Full Moon in 26 degrees of Libra.  I think it is a pretty fair statement that emotions and tears were flowing on that conjunction, when I tweeted:
The Full Moon in 26 degrees of Libra is also inconjunct Jupiter and Neptune in 24 degrees of Pisces, so there is an added emphasis on making adjustments to achieve some emotional balance.  Libra is a sign with themes of seeking balance and is all about relationships.  Full Moons inherently have themes of closure and completion, so some relationships just might end.  I think it's also prudent to warn anyone with planets in the late degrees of the cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn that this will be an exceptionally intense Full Moon.

The Full Moon will also be trining Saturn in 23 degrees of Aquarius, which could actually cut us a break.  It will provide us with some stability by helping us tap into our maturity and wisdom to navigate these difficult times and make us more grounded.  But this does mean that the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius are not exactly getting a free ride with this Full Moon because we are headed into eclipse season: the first one is a Solar Eclipse on April 30 in 10 degrees of Taurus and the second one is a Lunar Eclipse on May 16 in 25 degrees of Scorpio.

One of the reasons I am describing this as a power-packed Full Moon is the involvement of Pluto in 28 degrees of Capricorn.  There is a T-square on April 16 involving the Sun in Aries, Moon in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn.  Pluto is all about power, transformation and emotional intensity.  Power struggles could emerge and secrets could come to light about abuses of power.  I don't think that it is a coincidence that the war in Ukraine started during the week of the Pluto Return of the United States. It has also been pointed out by other astrologers that in 2022 every Full Moon until July will be engaged with Pluto.  On April 18, the Sun in Aries will be exactly squaring Pluto in 28 degrees of Capricorn, which will see us digging deep for transformation.

One of the saving graces of the Full Moon is the conjunction between Mercury in 11 degrees of Taurus with Uranus in 13 degrees of Taurus.  Sudden insights, ideas and breakthroughs could surface.  Mercury and Uranus will be exactly conjunct in 13 degrees of Taurus on April 18, so these themes prevail for a few days.

As usual, I am right in the thick of the action of this Full Moon.  It is conjunct my Juno and Neptune in Libra in my 1st house and it squares my Chiron in Capricorn in my 4th house, as well as my Midheaven, Jupiter and Uranus in Cancer.  Yep, I have a cardinal T-square that is being set off.  And as a Scorpio, I also have the Mercury-Uranus conjunction in Taurus opposing my Pallas and Saturn in Scorpio in my 1st house and squaring my Mars in Aquarius in my 4th house.

We do get a little astrological relief on April 19 when the Sun moves into the Venus-ruled sign of Taurus.  It is time to slow down, get grounded and enjoy the finer things in life as the pleasure principle prevails.  This is a huge change from the impulsive cardinal fire energy of Aries.  We will be focused on material growth and playing it safe. By all means, get outside and enjoy the earth as the weather will undoubtedly be improving.  But we will have the tenacity to pursue our goals because Taurus is fixed earth.  Just watch out for the shadow side of  Taurus, which can involve being overly stubborn and possessive.  It should be a calmer and more peaceful transit.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice in order to practice social distancing. I no longer have my Brookline office, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. Mercury Enters Taurus, the Big Jupiter-Neptune Conjunction in Pisces and Mars Sails into Pisces


 


We have a really big week coming up astrologically.  It starts with Mercury entering the fixed earth sign of Taurus on April 10 until April 29.  Thinking and communication are about to get more solid, practical and grounded.  This is a massive of change from the impulsive, off-the-cuff vibe of Mercury in Aries.  It is a time of stability and common sense is calling the shots.  We are focused on achieving tangible results as we keep our eyes on the prize.  Of course, the shadow side of this transit is that we can tend to be stubborn and inflexible with an intense need for order and routine.  And we have a Mercury retrograde coming up in May and Mercury will move from Gemini back to Taurus from May 22 through June 13.  So, if we don't learn how to use this common-sense energy in April, we get another chance in May and June.  Stay tuned...

But the major event of the week is the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in 24 degrees of Pisces on April 12.  This is a big deal and the defining aspect of the month, if not the year.  Jupiter was considered the traditional ruler of Pisces until Neptune was discovered and we all know that Neptune is the ruler of Pisces.  We have Jupiter-Neptune conjunctions every 12 years, but we haven't had one in the sign of Pisces since 1856.  In 1856 we had a surge in popularity of the Spiritualist Movement, which began in 1848 on the  heels of the discovery of  Neptune in 1846.

Jupiter is associated with luck, expansion and growth while Neptune's domain is dreams, illusions and spirituality.  When these two planets are conjunct it is a time to embrace our spiritual and creative sides as well as tapping into our intuition.  It indicates a new cycle beginning and a creative renaissance.  Pisces is a mutable water sign and with conjunction occurring in this sign, adaptability is a key theme.  We should be able to find new ways to accomplish tasks and focus on idealistic visions. Venus entered Pisces on April 5, when I tweeted:
So we are literally swimming in Pisces energy these days.  But Neptune, like every other planet, has a shadow side and Neptune's shadow side is a doozy.  Confusion and deception are likely in addition to boundaries getting blurred.  We can either be inspired or deluded.  And many of us can be craving escapism under the influence of this aspect. The Jupiter-Neptune conjunction can deliver a rainbow or a mirage to our lives depending on how we react.  It can be a sweet relief from the recent harshness of the Mars-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius when I tweeted:
It's important to know where this conjunction is falling in your natal chart.  For me, it is in my 6th house of health, daily routine and health.  It conjuncts my Part of Fortune in Pisces and trines my Cancer Midheaven, Jupiter and Uranus in Cancer and my Sun, Venus and Ceres in Scorpio.  This might be the right time for you to get an astrological reading to see how it is impacting your life. I am also curious to see if this aspect will have any influence on the pandemic because Neptune is also associated with viruses.  Already we are hearing confusing stories about just how long the immunity period lasts from a second COVID booster shot.  

On April 14 Mars sails into Pisces until May 24.  When Mars is in Pisces we tend to be more motivated by spiritual goals and are more averse to confrontation. It's a great time for creative pursuits and working towards charitable goals.  Our physical energy can be lower than usual, so we should plan on using this time to relax and meditate.  Yoga and tai chi are gentler forms of exercise that are beneficial for the body now. It's also a great time to get a Reiki session or other form of alternative healing. The shadow side of Mars in Pisces is a tendency to put others' needs above your own or to get hoodwinked by scammers.
