Mercury
enters Scorpio at 6:35 p.m. on November 5.
As someone who has a natal Mercury in Scorpio, I am all too familiar
with its energy. I can tell you first
hand that when Mercury is transiting the sign of Scorpio, thoughts and
communications will be more probing and intense. Scorpio is a born detective, so there will
definitely be big reveals coming.
Mercury in Scorpio has an urge to dig deep and leave no stone unturned
as it is very laser focused and can become downright obsessive at times. A sharp tongue is also part and parcel of
Mercury in Scorpio, so watch out for those verbal zingers that can sting just
like a scorpion. I have often said about myself and people I know with Mercury
in Scorpio that the mouth should be registered as a lethal weapon! Anger and
spite will surface.
On November
10, Mercury will be conjunct Mars in 7 degrees of Scorpio. This could be a very tense and eruptive day,
so we can expect some fireworks then. Harsh actions can result. Both Mercury and Mars will be squaring Saturn
in 7 degrees of Aquarius as well. This
is very stubborn energy, which can manifest in fights, manipulation and control
issues. And Mercury, Mars, and Saturn
are all squaring Uranus in 12 degrees of Taurus, which adds a rather rebellious
vibe to the mix. On the 11th,
Mercury in Scorpio will be inconjunct Chiron in 9 degrees of Aries, which can
result in some harsh words being unleashed that really wound. But if we make the adjustments that
inconjuncts demand, there is a shot at healing some old wounds. Scorpio does like to dredge up the past, but
purging is possible because it is necessary.
In case you
weren’t aware, the personal planets are the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury and
Venus. Venus moves from the easygoing,
mutable fire sign of Sagittarius into Capricorn at 6:44 a.m. on November
5. But guess what-Venus will remain in
the sign of Capricorn until March 6, 2022.
This is because Venus will station retrograde in 26 degrees of Capricorn
on December 19, and will station direct in 11 degrees of Capricorn on January
29, 2022. Venus is retrograde
approximately every 18 months. I was
born under a Venus retrograde in Scorpio and I can tell you that Venus
retrograde has a way of delaying gratification in love and money. I also don’t believe in getting married under
a Venus retrograde; Jennifer Aniston married Brad Pitt during a Venus
Retrograde and that didn’t turn out to be happily ever after.
When Venus
is in Capricorn, it’s a time to get serious about love and finances. We tend to
approach relationships with a more mature approach. It is associated with hard work, commitment,
responsibility and stability. Venus
transiting the sign of Capricorn is not a time for flings or frivolous
spending. We might find ourselves having
to deal with pretty serious issues in relationships; it’s definitely not as
lighthearted and spontaneous as Venus in Sagittarius. Venus in Capricorn will also be activating the
Saturn-Pluto conjunction in 22 degrees of Capricorn that occurred in 2020 and
ushered in the pandemic. Astrologer Anne
Ortelee refers to it as the “COVID Cluster.” We will experience
the first hit around December 5 when Venus is direct, the second time on
January 2, 2022 when Venus is retrograde and the third time on February 22,
2022 when Venus is direct. Don’t be
surprised if there is financial news about the economy surfacing during this
Venus retrograde because it will also be a period of reassessment of financial
plans. Hopefully we will get it right by
the third hit in February 2022. I firmly
believe that it frequently takes the third hit of a transit before we are able
to assimilate its energy and successfully apply it to our lives.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to
increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were
concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my
in-person Reiki sessions until further notice in order to practice social
distancing. I no longer have my Brookline office, so all of my Reiki sessions
will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki
session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if
you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of
your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they
hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place
when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a
telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their
blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom
consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have
also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I
don’t always have a photo of my client.
I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where

urge everyone to engage in massive amounts of self-care and follow the
protective measures of washing your hands frequently, maintaining social
distancing, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, wearing a face mask when necessary
and staying home if you are sick. And get a vaccine. If you are eligible for a
booster shot, get it. The Delta strain of the virus is very serious and we need
to remain vigilant with our masks, even if we are fully vaccinated. I repeat, you do not want to get this virus! I
