Water Works with the Planets and Mars Retrograde in Gemini

 

We are in a very watery astrological landscape these days, in case you haven't noticed and have been living under a rock.  This means that emotions are heightened; we are much more sensitive and impassioned. Venus and the Sun entered the Sun on October 23 and we had a Solar Eclipse in Scorpio on October 25, when I tweeted:

On October 28, retrograde Jupiter joins the water posse when it dips back into Pisces until December 20.  Jupiter hasn't been in Pisces since early May 2022, so I encourage you to think back to what was going on in your life back then. We are all going to be getting a sense of Deja vu and a second chance to clear up unfinished business.  Jupiter is much more comfortable in Pisces than in Aries as it emphasizes expansion of our soul and our compassionate side.  It is very spiritual and idealistic with a slower pace.  Jupiter will station direct in 28 degrees of Pisces on November 23 and will re-enter Aries on December 20.  As for me personally, I am hoping that Jupiter in Pisces trining my natal Jupiter and Uranus in Cancer in my 10th house will bring some welcome growth and expansion to these areas of my life.

Mercury joins the Scorpio party on October 29 and stays in the fixed water sign until November 17. When Mercury is in Scorpio, we are determined to get to the bottom of things because we are more intuitive and probing as we crave more depth in our communication.  Digging deep to shine a light on the darkest parts of ourselves is the order of the day with Mercury in Scorpio.  Our minds can have a tendency to be more suspicious, too as the conversations get sharper.  We will probably be asking harder questions but this can ultimately lead to greater intimacy, which is a pretty sweet payoff.  I have a natal Mercury in Scorpio, so I know this is true from personal experience.

Mars stations retrograde in 25 degrees of Gemini on October 30 and remains retrograde until January 12, 2023 when it stations direct in 8 degrees of Gemini.  So Mars will remain in Gemini until March 25, 2023.  This transit really is the elephant in the room. Whenever Mars is retrograde, we can expect to be angry, frustrated and impatient because Mars is the planet of action and it is not functioning on all jets when it is retrograde.  We feel stuck and might notice a decrease in energy. Mars retrograde in Gemini can bring rumors, misunderstandings and communication meltdowns.  Watch out for hackers too.  Since retrograde transits of any planet involve the "re" theme, try re-thinking what motivates you.  And with Mars retrograde in Gemini, it means we might have to do things twice, so don't count on launching any new endeavors successfully now.  Allow time for a redo.  It's also a good idea to engage in a more passive response to any aggression that you encounter now.  The Mars retrograde starts in my 9th house but it is back in my 8th house by December 10 and will be conjunct my natal Moon. This should be interesting...

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice in order to practice social distancing. I no longer have my Brookline office, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed.
