Sagittarius Season Kicks off as We Experience a New Moon in Sagittarius, Venus Enters Capricorn and Neptune Stations Direct

The sun is moving into Sagittarius on November 22, 2019 and the astrological vibe is about to completely shift after a month of Scorpio intensity.  But Mars just entered Scorpio on November 19, 2019, when I tweeted:
And Mercury is still in Scorpio but it stationed direct on November 20, 2019 when I tweeted:
We are getting a bit of a break from the Scorpio laser-like focus and intensity however when the sun enters Sagittarius.  Prepare to feel more joyful, feel more comfortable expressing faith and have a more optimistic view of the world as we are more able to look at the big picture.  And don’t forget about laughing, either, because Sagittarius is renowned for its sense of humor.

On November 24, 2019 Venus and Jupiter are conjunct in 28 degrees of Sagittarius.  This is very positive energy for attracting money, success and recognition.  It can also bring good luck and happiness because these two planets are known as the Benefics.  This conjunction could also bring new romantic partners. This is the last day of Venus in Sagittarius, so make the most of it.
We also have Mars in 3 degrees of Scorpio opposing Uranus in 3 degrees of Taurus on November 24, 2019 and this is definitely a wild card aspect.  Mars opposing Uranus is impatient and has an accident prone quality. Uranus in Taurus has an increased likelihood of earthquakes and volcanoes.  But the silver lining of this aspect is the potential for sudden opportunities and new ways to do old things.

Venus enters Capricorn on November 25, 2019 where it stays until December 20, 2019.  Venus in Capricorn is much more serious than Venus in Sagittarius.  It has a heavier vibe as we assume a more responsible attitude towards relationships, finances, value and creativity.  It could also be an opportunity for getting boundaries under control in our relationships since Capricorn is ruled by Saturn.

On November 26, 2019 we have a new moon in 4 degrees of Sagittarius.  New moons always represent an opportunity to set new intentions.  A new moon in Sagittarius is an optimistic time to plant the seeds for new beginnings and lift our visions.  This new moon falls in my second house and I am definitely up for setting some new intentions regarding my values and finances.

Uranus in Taurus is heavily aspected on this new moon. This continues a theme that began with last month’s new moon in Scorpio opposing Uranus in Taurus. Both the sun and moon in Sagittarius are inconjunct Uranus in 3 degrees of Taurus and this has a major theme of breaking free.  There will be an air of excitement and awakening as we seek to get rid of stale routines in our lives and feel compelled to take more risks.  Try looking at this Uranus energy as an opportunity to face our fears, learn something new and break through to another level.  We could literally feel like we are being pushed out of our comfort zone, which is not a bad thing. I like to think of it as an exercise in developing your north node, which has always felt to me like pushing out of your comfort zone. For many years I was totally uncomfortable with having a north node in Capricorn, but I have slowly learned to embrace it and stretch out of my comfort zone. Be open to new ideas and don’t be afraid to make those ideas an adventure in expanding your consciousness and living a bigger life. Venus may have moved into Capricorn by the new moon but it is still conjunct Jupiter at the end of Sagittarius, and they are both trining Uranus in Taurus.  This can be a beneficial influence for financial improvement and romantic opportunities.  I have my natal Venus trining Uranus, so I am quite familiar with its ability to attract good fortune out of the blue.

Neptune stations direct in 15 degrees of Pisces on November 27, 2019 after having been retrograde since June 21, 2019.  Isn’t it ironic that summer started with Neptune retrograde?  Now that Neptune is awakening from it slumber and coming out of its fog, let’s use its direct motion to work on those insights that were revealed during its retrograde period.  And don’t forget that when a planet is stationary, its energy is intensified, so don’t be surprised if your dreams are particularly intense at this time.  I’d also like to echo what astrologer Pam Gregory said about using Neptune being direct to choose a more perfect reality.

If you are curious as to how all of these planetary changes will be affecting you, please consider getting an astrological reading.  I am now offering short telephone astrology consultations for 30 minutes which are available for purchase on the Services Offered page of my site. These are extremely affordable at the cost of $35.

I have been doing more work with tarot readings, which I love, so I decided to create a new combination reading which offers the option of a 30 minute astrology consultation with a one question tarot reading for only $50. There is something for everyone and my menu of services can accommodate any budget.

Since I love to talk astrology and believe in making it more available to everyone, I am now offering pay by the minute astrology readings through Click 4Advisor.  Check it out at:

This might be the perfect way for you to get a taste of what astrology can do for you in terms of providing insight into your life during these challenging time.  Obviously the 30 minute readings are the best deal, but you might be surprised by how much you learn in 10 minutes or less from a brief glance at your chart. If I am not available you can always request a callback and I will respond quickly.

My site also offers the opportunity to provide a donation in the amount of your choice to demonstrate your support for my blog and daily astrological insights on Twitter at:

A contribution in any amount is deeply appreciated as gratitude is a daily part of my spiritual practice.

Recently I undertook an intensive life purpose coaching training program and became certified as a Life Purpose Coach.  It was an intense, eye-opening experience that changed my life as it caused me to reflect on the story of my life.  But I left it with feelings of hope and light for the future that I want to share with others.  To that end, I am now offering Life Purpose Coaching to my menu of services.  You can read more about it at:

As an astrologer, I have decided to include an interpretation of the north node by sign. If you are feeling stuck and need some help in getting from Point A to Point B in your quest for making positive changes in your life, please email me at lindasim54@gmail.com to schedule a complementary telephone consultation to discover if you are a good fit for this program.  I look forward to hearing from you.

I am also available for tarot readings in person if you are in the Boston area or by telephone if you are unable to travel to my home in Newton, MA.  I use the Celestial Tarot Deck, which I love because it contains so many astrological symbols.  A tarot reading is another great option for obtaining insight and clarity.
If you are in the Boston area, please consider getting a Reiki treatment at Acupuncture for Everyone in Copley Square to destress, revitalize and remove blockages to healing.  It’s a perfect way to start your weekend off and can also be described as a spa for the soul to boot!   Reiki is the most profound treatment for stress relief because it concentrates on CALMING your body.

For more information on my Reiki services, please see this page on my site:

For my clients who can’t fit Friday into their schedule for a treatment or have difficulty traveling, I have also recently begun doing distance Reiki sessions for them.  I have a conversation with them about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages.  I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. If this appeals to you, please feel free to contact me by email at lindasim54@gmail.com or call me at 617-304-2205.  I am also offering Reiki treatments at my home in Newton, MA on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and in the Coolidge Corner section of Brookline on Sunday afternoons.  Recently I have added online booking for my Sunday clients on my site.  Check it out at:

I was also featured in the July 3, 2017 edition of Boston Voyager, an online publication that runs a section called Inspiring Stories about local entrepreneurs on its home page.  The Scorpio moon was trining the Cancer sun and Neptune in Pisces on that day, so my story certainly debuted under fitting aspects.  Please feel free to check it out:

The Fog Lifts as Neptune Stations Direct and the Sun Moves into Sagittarius

Ah, Neptune, that dreamy, idealistic, compassionate, fantasy-oriented planet that is also prone to major escapism, denial and delusion is about to station direct in its home sign of Pisces on November 19, 2016. Neptune has been retrograde since June 13, 2016 when it stationed at 12 degrees of Pisces. But we experienced one last blast of Neptune retrograde on November 18th when it conjuncted the south node in 9 degrees of Pisces.

Why was Neptune’s conjunction to the south node so important? Well, since the south node represents the past and our karmic baggage, having Neptune sitting on it can help dissolve old belief patterns that are holding us back.  It can truly be a time of balancing karma and learning from our past mistakes as we release the past and strive to embrace our true life path (aka north node) with enhanced wisdom, compassion, optimism, determination and faith.

Neptune aspecting the south node affords us the opportunity to see the bigger picture and let go of what we can’t control.  A major theme is “Let go, let God” as we are inclined to embrace a Higher Power, especially in light of the recent United States Presidential Election.  Somehow we have to make the transition from Hate and Divisiveness to Love and Unity without getting sucked in by the deception, fear, delusion and manipulation that seems to be running rampant these days.  I freely admit that I am not there yet.  Even though I am a Scorpio and can totally identify with Pluto’s energy of transformation, I also consider myself to be a Neptunian because I have Neptune rising conjunct my ascendant and Juno.  So I, like many others these days, am faced with quite a conundrum.  There is a huge part of me that wants to escape, but in keeping with the energy of the Saturn Neptune square, I know that I can’t deny the reality of what is happening.  I also have Saturn in Scorpio in the 1st house, so deep down I know that I am responsible for coming to terms with and somehow accepting the reality of the state of affairs in this country.

Neptune is retrograde for five months every year, so we should be used to the drill of dealing with our internalized fears and anxieties that has a way of stripping away our illusions and false realities that tend to cloud our vision.  But this year’s Neptune retrograde was accompanied by two hits of an exact Saturn in Sagittarius Neptune in Pisces square, on June 26, 2016 and on September 10, 2016. The first hit of the Saturn/Neptune square occurred on November 26, 2015, setting the tone for 2016.  Many astrologers are holding the influence of the Saturn/Neptune square accountable for the United Kingdom leaving the European, aka Brexit and the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States.  Clearly, both decisions reflected a major dissatisfaction with the status quo and a major desire for change coupled with an idealistic view of a new future.  Make no bones about it, the world is clearly at a turning point.

If we were wise and utilized the Neptune retrograde period to cultivate our spiritual development, we will experience Neptune stationing direct as a lifting of the fog.  But if we strayed too far from reality, we will be reeling in a state of shock as the truth emerges.  Deception and denial may still seem to be the path of least resistance (a nickname for the south node, which ironically is in Pisces), but the most productive way to utilize Neptune direct is to find creative ways to determine what is real and what is fantasy.  We need to discern the difference between an attainable goal and a pipe dream.

Neptune direct also makes it easier for us to access our compassion, idealism imagination and spirituality in order to make that journey from dreams to reality.  I fully intend on using that Neptune energy to assist me on my journey.  I need to dissolve my fears and anxieties so that I can be a more effective healer and role model for others during this time of transition.

We are also getting a boost from the Sun changing signs.  On November 21, 2016 the Sun enters the sign of Sagittarius, which should dissipate some of the heaviness and drama that Scorpio season brought to our lives.  Don’t get me wrong, as a Scorpio, I love Scorpio season, but it is definitely time for a lighter cosmic vibration to take over.  The Sun in Sagittarius is all about truth, freedom and the pursuit of higher knowledge and wisdom.  Sagittarius is a born spiritual seeker and teacher.  We need to embrace this energy now.

As an astrologer, I have decided to include an interpretation of the north node by sign and house placement as part of my coaching program.  After all, the north node does represent the soul’s purpose in life, so why not use it as a tool?  If you are feeling stuck and need some help in getting from Point A to Point B in your quest for making positive changes in your life, please email me at lindasim54@gmail.com to schedule a complementary telephone consultation to discover if you are a good fit for this program.  I look forward to hearing from you.

If you are seeking more spiritual insight into your life, please consider getting an astrological reading. An astrological reading can provide valuable insight and tools.  If you are not quite ready for a full blown natal interpretation or a solar return forecast, I also offer one question astrological readings and composite couple readings that offer insight into the purpose of a relationship. And I offer shorter transit readings for three and six months which might help you navigate the rest of 2016 a little easier. If you purchase a three or six month transit reading, I will even look at how September’s eclipses affected you! You can learn more about my menu of astrological services, including the opportunity to provide a donation in the amount of your choice to demonstrate your support for my blog and daily astrological insights on Twitter at:
