Saturn in Aquarius has definitely been calling the shots
lately in case you haven’t noticed. We
did have a New Moon in 12 degrees of Aquarius on February 1 but it was not as
invigorating as many of us would have preferred due to that New Moon’s
conjunction to Saturn in 15 degrees of Aquarius. Progress in implementing new goals seemed
hard to come by. That is the secret to
Saturn: it makes you work hard to get what you want and tests you like crazy. On February 1 I tweeted:
On February 4, the Sun and Saturn form an exact conjunction
in 15 degrees of Aquarius. This aspect
will force us to be realistic, be disciplined and face our responsibilities as
our challenges are amplified. It demands
that we exercise some patience, which these days seems to be in short
supply. And oh yes, we will have to work
hard to achieve what we want. When the
Sun is conjunct Saturn our shadow side can rear its ugly head too, frequently
in the form of depression and pessimism. The best way to deal with this energy
is to put our nose to the grindstone, simplify and declutter as much as
possible. I am no fan of this aspect, as
I have it natally in Scorpio with a seven degree orb. I have never felt that anything comes easily
to me in life and have felt responsible all of my life. I suppose this is good, but I confess that at
times it can be exhausting and contribute to being somewhat judgmental. But now is not the time to slacken up. We finally have a brief window of time until
April 29 when all of the planets are direct, so we need to make the effort to
move forward and make some effort.
But Mars in Capricorn is forming a supportive sextile to
Jupiter in 7 degrees of Pisces on February 4 as well. This is a very positive and auspicious aspect
because it fosters bravery, courage to pursue our passions and the ability to
take calculated risks. Mars in Capricorn
is a real work horse. It also helps us
to take the initiative because we are feeling stronger. It’s also an aspect that requires physical
action, so make sure that you move on this day.
Exercise will only enhance that feeling of physical strength and
well-being. This can help mitigate the
harshness of the Sun-Saturn conjunction.
On February 6, Mars in Capricorn will be forming a
challenging square to Chiron in 9 degrees of Aries. This can trigger some frustrations and anger
if we are feeling controlled but we can heal if we nurture that insecure inner
child within us. So don’t trash this
aspect because it brings a valuable opportunity for healing.
Mars in Capricorn is providing us with more opportunity on
February 8 when it trines Uranus in 11 degrees of Taurus. This is when the magic could literally happen
if we are open to action. It is a time
to take steps in transforming our lives into something different and
unconventional. Our instincts are
accurate and we should be able to find the courage to take risks. It is so much nicer when Mars is trining
Uranus rather than squaring it, which tends to cause accidents if we take too
many risks. This trine will reward our
actions, so make the most of it.

The coronavirus
outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do
because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided
to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice in order to
practice social distancing. I no longer have my Brookline office, so all of my
Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a
distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune
system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from
the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client
about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the
session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy
and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and
my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now
offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each
other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki
treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client. I use a teddy
bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. If
