Venus Opposes Uranus One Last Time and Both Mercury and Venus Re-Enter Scorpio

The third and final Venus Uranus opposition occurs on November 30, 2018 with Venus in 29 degrees of Libra and retrograde Uranus in 29 degrees of Aries.  The first opposition happened on September 12, 2018 with Venus in 2 degrees of Scorpio and Uranus in 2 degrees of Taurus; the second one was on October 31, 2018 when Venus was in 0 degrees of Scorpio and Uranus in 0 degrees of Taurus.  The main theme of a Venus Uranus opposition is a sudden disruption in relationships.

I know there is an old saying that the third time is the charm, but it may actually be true with this aspect.  The first two oppositions occurred when both Venus and Uranus were in the fixed signs of Scorpio and Taurus, which are renowned for their stubbornness.  It may have proved very difficult to break free of a toxic relationship or initiate positive change to make an existing relationship healthier.  But the fact that this final Venus Uranus opposition occurs in the cardinal signs of Libra and Aries literally breathes new life into the situation because cardinal signs love to initiate changes and move forward.  Fixed signs are more inclined to stay stuck in the past.  There is a vast difference between an opposition in fixed signs and one in cardinal signs.  The third time may literally be the burst of adrenaline we need to make the changes that are necessary for moving forward.

The first two oppositions aspected my Mercury in 0 degrees of Scorpio while this last opposition will be activating my cardinal T-square involving Jupiter and Uranus in Cancer opposing my Chiron in Capricorn and squaring my Neptune in Libra.  I expect there will be a lot more activity for me and that I will be more open to change, which is definitely a good thing.  The fact that this opposition occurs in 29 degrees of both planets is especially telling because 29 degrees is a critical degree; quite literally, something has to give in order to move forward.  There could be relationships breaking up but I’m not ruling out the possibility of major changes for the better in existing relationships.

I know that we have been an astrological party lately with the sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in Sagittarius, especially on November 27, 2018 when I tweeted:
But we still have some unfinished Scorpio business to deal with, so Sagittarius is temporarily losing a player.  On December 1, 2018 retrograde Mercury leaves Sagittarius to enter Scorpio.  Mercury will station direct in 27 degrees of Scorpio on December 6, 2018 and will move back into Sagittarius on December 12, 2018.  Venus will enter Scorpio on December 2, 2018 where it resides until January 7, 2019.

Mercury was in Scorpio from October 9, 2018 through October 31, 2018.  What can we expect with Mercury in Scorpio again for the next couple of weeks?  Mercury in Scorpio is a born detective and I wouldn’t be surprised if more secrets were uncovered in the political world.  Don’t forget that when Mercury stations direct, it will be in Scorpio and its powers will be strong, as any stationary planet is.  More secrets and scandals could very well be revealed.
Venus was previously transiting the sign of Scorpio from September 9th through and October 31, 2018.  Venus is not very comfortable in Scorpio (I know this one first hand, having it retrograde natally in my chart), but it is intense.  Perhaps we can use this last hit of Venus in Scorpio as an opportunity to deepen our understanding about our values and those we love to transform these areas of our lives as Venus zips through Scorpio for the last time in 2018. It’s one last blast of passion. Venus in Scorpio will usher in the new year of 2019, but Venus enter Sagittarius on January 7, 2019 and stay there until February 3, 2019.

If you are curious as to how all of these planetary changes will be affecting you, please consider getting an astrological reading.  I am also offering short telephone astrology consultations for 15 minutes or 30 minutes which are available for purchase on the Services Offered page of my site. Neptune Stations Direct and a Sagittarian Love Fest

Neptune is stationing direct in 13 degrees of Pisces on November 24, 2018 after having been retrograde since June 18, 2018 but Neptune direct is not quite the blessing of having Mercury direct.  When Neptune is retrograde, we find it harder to escape reality as many things become painfully clear to us.  Of course, a planet’s strength is always enhanced when it makes a station, either direct or retrograde.

Neptune direct is rife with themes of deception and denial because it has a way of encouraging us to live in denial as we choose fantasy over reality.  Don’t forget that Neptune is the planet associated with imagination, dreams and delusions. When Neptune is direct, it can enable us to go too far and delude ourselves into doing the wrong things, such as staying in relationships or jobs that are toxic for us.

But while Neptune is associated with deception and denial, it is also associated with idealism, compassion, imagination and spirituality.  Every cloud has a silver lining, so to speak and Neptune is indeed a cloudy planet.  The best use of Neptune being direct is to take the necessary steps to make our dreams a reality.

I have to confess that I am heavily impacted by this Neptune station.  Neptune is squaring my Gemini moon in my 8th house and trining my Saturn in Scorpio in my 1st house.  It could definitely be an emotionally challenging time with that square to my moon and even though Neptune is trining my Saturn, I’m still not totally sold on its benefits.  These two planets are not actually the most compatible playmates. I have Neptune in Libra in my 1st house as well as Saturn in Scorpio at the end of my 1st house.  I have always felt like this placement has existed as a system of checks and balances for me.  Saturn in the 1st house has always given me a sense of responsibility and a reserved manner which probably offsets that 1st house Neptune conjunct my ascendant that makes me so sensitive to others and contributing to my empathic nature.

There is a party going on with Jupiter, Mercury and the sun all in Sagittarius.  On November 19, 2018, Mars in 2 degrees of Pisces squared Jupiter in Sagittarius, inspiring me to tweet:
But the Sagittarian love fest really begins on November 26, 2018 when the Sun, Jupiter and Mercury start the hugs and kisses.  On November 26, 2018 the sun and Jupiter are conjunct in 3 degrees of Sagittarius.  This aspect will promote a sense of happiness, optimism, well-being and expansion.  The only potential drawback to that day is the fact that Mercury in 6 degrees of Sagittarius will be forming a challenging square to Mars in 6 degrees of Pisces, which can result in sharp tongues wagging.

All is good on the next day, November 27th, however when Mercury in 4 degrees of Sagittarius conjuncts Jupiter in 4 degrees of Sagittarius.  This aspect can make it very easy to make up for any transgressions that occurred on the previous day when Mercury was squaring Mars in Pisces.  Adding to the mix is the fact that the Sun and Mercury are conjunct in 4 degrees of Sagittarius.  This should really rejuvenate our communications.  It’s really nice to see these three planets playing so nicely in the astrological sandbox and will hopefully bring more light and hope after a difficult few months.

If you are curious as to how all of these planetary changes will be affecting you, please consider getting an astrological reading.  I am also offering short telephone astrology consultations for 15 minutes or 30 minutes which are available for purchase on the Services Offered page of my site. Venus and Mercury Switch Directions, the Sun Changes Signs and a Full Moon in Gemini

The game of musical planetary chairs continues at breakneck speed in the coming week to make the month of November a highly active astrological month.  On November 16, 2018, Venus stations direct in 25 degrees of Libra at 5:51 a.m. on the east coast of the United States.  At 8:33 p.m. Mercury stations retrograde in 13 degrees of Sagittarius until December 6, 2018 when it stations direct in 27 degrees of Scorpio.  That’s right, folks, if you feel like you didn’t have the full Mercury in Scorpio experience in October, you get one last shot at it because Mercury slips back into Scorpio on December 2, 2018.

With Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius for most of its transit, honesty and the truth will be essential themes.  And Mercury in Sagittarius is renowned for having no filters when it comes to speaking its truth.  It goes without saying that all Mercury retrogrades are a time to reflect and review all of the choices and decisions that we have made recently and perhaps revise them.  And the main thing to remember is that Mercury Retrograde is not a good time to sign contracts, buy a new car, computer, cell phone or accept a new job. Communications could be confusing, especially with Mercury in a mutable sign and expect transportation delays.

On the plus side, we do have Venus direct now and it is in its happy place in the sign of Libra.  Of course Venus moves back into Scorpio on December 2, 2018, so make the most of Venus in Libra for the next couple of weeks.  We should have more clarity and insight on our relationships and financial picture.  Venus direct also gives us more freedom to make more commitments in these areas of our life and we have a total green light by December 18, 2018 when Venus clears its retrograde shadow.

Mars recently moved into the sign of Pisces on November 15, 2018, inspiring me to tweet:
Of course it took me several hours to realize that I had meant to say inclined in that post, which felt like Mercury Retrograde was starting early for me.  So I owned that mistake and tweeted:
Mars in Pisces is forming a very important aspect with Jupiter in Sagittarius which will be exact on November 19, 2018 in 2 degrees of their respective signs as they square each other.  This aspect can make us very idealistic and contribute to a tendency to bite off more than we can chew.  We may very well be overly enthusiastic and exuberant as we overestimate our abilities.  Since both of these planets are in mutable signs, there will be a lot of flexibility involved but things can change in the blink of an eye.  The bottom line with this aspect is to look before you leap, especially with Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius at the same time.

The sun moves into Sagittarius on November 22, 2018, which is Thanksgiving Day in the United States. The sun in Sagittarius has a much lighter vibe than the sun in Scorpio, when the focus was primarily on the need for an intimate connection with another or ourselves.  The energy will shift to reaching out to the world and expanding our horizons.  The sun in Sagittarius is also a time of more confidence and enthusiasm as we are more inclined to focus on the big picture.  Faith and hope are strong but there may be a tendency to have pie in the sky expectations, especially this year with Jupiter in Sagittarius.

We also have a full moon in 0 degrees of Gemini on November 22nd.  This is actually the beginning of a cycle of 5 full moons in 0 degrees and the next full moon in April 2019 will be in 29 degrees of Libra.  This tends to reinforce the belief that humanity is headed for new beginnings, as 0 and 29 are considered critical degrees.  A full moon in Gemini will have strong themes of communication and self-talk.

It’s also important to note that there are 7 planets in mutable signs on the day of this full moon.  The sun, Mercury and Jupiter are in Sagittarius, the moon is in Gemini, and Chiron, Mars and Neptune are in Pisces.  This probably won’t be the most focused full moon with all of this mutable, chameleon like energy because it is very reactive and impulsive.  It does promote creativity and if there is any drama at the Thanksgiving table, it should blow over fairly quickly.  At least Mars is out of fixed sign Aquarius, so the stubborn quality that Mars focused on for the past few months is missing.  The sun is conjunct Jupiter in 3 degrees of Sagittarius on this full moon, which means that Jupiter is also opposing the full moon in Gemini.  The only inherent danger with Jupiter opposing the moon is tendency to be dogmatic and judgmental.

If you are curious as to how all of these planetary changes will be affecting you, please consider getting an astrological reading.  I am also offering short telephone astrology consultations for 15 minutes or 30 minutes which are available for purchase on the Services Offered page of my site. Mars Departs Aquarius on a High Note Before it Sails into Pisces

Mars is finally getting ready to leave the sign of Aquarius after nearly six months.  It entered Aquarius on May 16, 2018, stationed retrograde in 9 degrees of Aquarius on June 26, 2018, slipped back into Capricorn on August 12, 2018 and stationed direct in 28 degrees of Capricorn on August 27, 2018.  It re-entered Aquarius on September 10, 2018.  It would be a grave understatement to say that it has been a challenging transit.  I have my natal Mars in Aquarius, so I was also dealing with a Mars Return and having Mars squaring all of my Scorpio planets (Mercury, Sun, Saturn, Venus, Ceres, Pallas Athena and Black Moon Lilith) and then finally opposing my Pluto in Leo.

But before Mars sails into the calmer water sign of Pisces on November 15, 2018, it will depart on a high note with two delightful aspects.  The first one occurs on November 9, 2018 when retrograde Venus in 25 degrees of Libra trines Mars in 25 degrees of Aquarius.  This is the second time this year we have experienced this aspect; it also occurred on August 7, 2018 when Venus was in 1 degree of Libra and Mars was retrograde in 1 degree of Aquarius.  What can we expect from this aspect?  It will serve as a nice balancing act for relationships because it tends to increase the desire for social contact and enjoyment of the finer things in life.  It can also be an opportunity for attracting a new, more suitable partner if you are single and in existing relationships it favors discussing any tensions that have been brewing for some time.   Venus trining Mars also fosters creativity, redecorating, increases the likelihood of attending parties or entertaining.  This all pretty sweet.

The last aspect that Mars in Aquarius makes is a supportive sextile to retrograde Uranus in 29 degrees of Aries.  Mars sextiling Uranus increases our desire for fun and triggers our excitement junkie.  There is a strong possibility of attracting people who are different or, conversely, breaking away from relationships that are confining or restrictive.  It definitely favors implementing changes and there is added emphasis on this theme with both of these planets being in 29 degrees, the critical degree.  The Uranian energy is amplified because Uranus rules Aquarius and Uranus is very comfortable in the cardinal, initiating sign of Aries.

Mars will have a much shorter transit in the sign of Pisces; it will enter its home sign of Aries on December 31, 2018.  When Mars is in Pisces, we will be more motivated to pursue our spiritual and emotional drives and we are naturally more averse to conflict.  Mars in Pisces has a tendency to put others’ needs before our own and act in more idealistic manner.  It also helps us connect with our intuition and act on it.  Mars in Pisces literally awakes our Divine Will so that we can act without fear and from a place of love because Pisces is so compassionate.  It is prime time to act on healing our own wounds and that ultimately helps others too.  It’s a pretty sweet way to end the turbulent year of 2018. But we do need to be mindful of not getting stuck in the role of victim or martyr, which is Pisces territory.

Personally, I am over the moon over the upcoming Mars in Pisces transit.  After having Mars in Aquarius square all of my Scorpio planets, I now get to experience Mars trining my Scorpio planets and my south node, midheaven, Uranus and Jupiter in Cancer.  The only real challenge that I will face from Mars in Pisces is a square to my Gemini moon, which may make me prone to more childish or impulsive behavior and a few temper tantrums.  But I’ll take it because all of the trines outweigh this one square in my opinion.  And I am feeling more optimistic about the remainder of 2018 and 2019 since Jupiter entered its home sign of Sagittarius on November 8, 2018, inspiring me to tweet:

Planets on the Move and a New Moon in Scorpio

The month of November is starting off with a bang and promises to be chock full of planetary activity.  On November 1st I tweeted:
On November 6, 2018, the action really starts when the nodes of the moon change signs.  The north node of the moon represents our collective destiny and the south node represents our karmic past.  The north node moves into Cancer on November 6th after 18 months in Leo and the south node moves into Capricorn after having spent 18 months in Aquarius.  Leo and Aquarius are pretty extroverted signs, so this will be a big change as Cancer and Capricorn tend to be more conservative and inward looking.  The north node in Cancer will be focused on emotional security while the south node in Capricorn will be attuned to practical and financial security.  The south node in Capricorn is also associated with themes of abuse of power and increased accountability.  Capricorn is, after all, ruled by Saturn and responsibility is a key trait with both Saturn and Capricorn.  The south node in Capricorn will be adding to the mix of Saturn and Pluto that are already ensconced in the sign of Capricorn.

On a personal level, this nodal change will be activating my cardinal T-square involving Jupiter and Uranus in Cancer, Neptune in Libra and Chiron in Capricorn.  My Jupiter in 29 degrees of Cancer will be the first to feel this cardinal jolt of energy, while my Uranus, Neptune and Chiron will feel it in February 2019.

Retrograde Uranus slips back into Aries on November 6, 2018 as well.  Uranus will remain in Aries until March 2019 and then it remains in Taurus for another seven years.  Retrograde Uranus in Aries is squaring the nodal axis in 29 degrees of Cancer and Capricorn and will be forming an irritating inconjunct Jupiter in 29 degrees of Scorpio.  When Uranus is inconjunct Jupiter, social and civil unrest can prevail as well as a desire for more equality in society.  Uranus is also forming a supportive sextile to Mars in Aquarius, so this can definitely be a day of action, even if it does include disruptions, diversions and breaking of agreements.  Ironically, it is also the day of the midterm elections in the United States. I wouldn’t rule out some type of upheaval on Election Day because Mars in Aquarius, as it was during the election of 2016.  But Mars had just entered Aquarius in November 2016 and now, after an extended stay in Aquarius due to the Mars Retrograde, Mars is winding up its stint in Aquarius and will enter Pisces on November 15, 2018.

On November 7, 2018, we have a powerful New Moon in 15 degrees of Scorpio.  Scorpio is not exactly a lightweight sign, so this will undoubtedly be a very intense and passionate time, as passion, intensity and transformation are traits associated with Scorpio. The sun and moon in 15 degrees of Scorpio will be favorably trining Neptune in 13 degree of Pisces, we are talking spiritual transformation here.  It is very creative energy which allows us the opportunity to tune into our spiritual compass.  The best way to make the most of this new moon in Scorpio is to go deep inside (would Scorpio do it any other way) and trust your intuition.  I am personally thrilled that this new moon is conjunct my Scorpio sun in my 2nd house, not so much enthused that it is also conjunct my Saturn in my 1st house.  I plan on setting some new intentions for my values and finances with this Scorpio new moon.

Jupiter makes it move into its home sign of Sagittarius on the following day, November 8, 2018 where it stays until December 2, 2019.  Jupiter rules Sagittarius and is truly a happy camper in Sagittarius.  It’s literally in its happy place. Jupiter spends a little over a year in each sign, so think back to late November 2006 to get a beat on how transiting Jupiter in Sagittarius will affect you.  You may find some of the same issues popping up.  If you have your sun, moon, ascendant or personal planets in Sagittarius, you will reap the benefits of this transit.

Jupiter in Sagittarius is all about expansion, travel, personal growth, morality, ethics, religion and belief systems.  There will definitely be a search for more meaning in whatever area of life Jupiter in Sagittarius touches.  Jupiter in Sagittarius starts out in my 2nd house and moves into my 3rd house in mid-January 2019.  Self-improvement and freedom of the press will be key issues of this Jupiter transit.  Jupiter in Sagittarius is also about the law.  When Jupiter entered Scorpio in October 2017, the Me Too movement was launched against sexual harassment and sexual violence.  With Jupiter in Sagittarius, it may be time to go to court as part of the Time’s Up Movement which was founded in early 2018 in response to the Harvey Weinstein allegations.  Time’s Up aims to empower women by ensuring that they have equality in the workplace and the funds necessary for legal actions.  Jupiter in Scorpio let the genie out of the bottle regarding sexual harassment and now Jupiter in Sagittarius will take the mantle and move the fight into court. Jupiter is very idealistic in Sagittarius and can really make a difference in terms of ending this sordid period in our culture and providing the opportunity for a new beginning where women feel more legally empowered.

If you are curious as to how all of the planetary changes will be affecting you, please consider getting an astrological reading.  The Services Offered page of my site describes the menu of services that I offer. I even offer the option of tarot readings. There is something for everyone.

And don’t forget about my Venus Retrograde Special.

A contribution in any amount is deeply appreciated as gratitude is a daily part of my spiritual practice.

Recently I undertook an intensive life purpose coaching training program and became certified as a Life Purpose Coach.  It was an intense, eye-opening experience that changed my life as it caused me to reflect on the story of my life.  But I left it with feelings of hope and light for the future that I want to share with others.  To that end, I am now offering Life Purpose Coaching to my menu of services.  You can read more about it at:

As an astrologer, I have decided to include an interpretation of the north node by sign. If you are feeling stuck and need some help in getting from Point A to Point B in your quest for making positive changes in your life, please email me at lindasim54@gmail.com to schedule a complementary telephone consultation to discover if you are a good fit for this program.  I look forward to hearing from you.

If you are in the Boston area, please consider getting a Reiki treatment at Acupuncture for Everyone in Copley Square to destress, revitalize and remove blockages to healing.  It’s a perfect way to start your weekend off and can also be described as a spa for the soul to boot!   Reiki is the most profound treatment for stress relief because it concentrates on CALMING your body.

For more information on my Reiki services, please see this page on my site:

For my clients who can’t fit Friday into their schedule for a treatment or have difficulty traveling, I have also recently begun doing distance Reiki sessions for them.  I have a conversation with them about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages.  I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. If this appeals to you, please feel free to contact me by email at lindasim54@gmail.com or call me at 617-304-2205.  I am also offering Reiki treatments in the Coolidge Corner section of Brookline on Sunday afternoons.

But the big news is that I have created and launched a new website devoted exclusively to my Reiki practice. Please feel free to check it out at:

I was also featured in the July 3, 2017 edition of Boston Voyager, an online publication that runs a section called Inspiring Stories about local entrepreneurs on its home page.  The Scorpio moon was trining the Cancer sun and Neptune in Pisces on that day, so my story certainly debuted under fitting aspects.  Please feel free to check it out:

I have also revised my package deals and I am now offering two options for package deals: Silver and a Tarot special for my tarot clients. Please check it out at:
