Mars in Leo Squares Uranus in Taurus, Jupiter in Cancer Squares Saturn and Neptune in Aries and Mars Moves into Virgo

 

Don't expect June 15, Father's Day, to be a particularly calm or loving day.  We are still feeling the effects of the Full Moon in Sagittarius that occurred on June 11 and we have two extremely powerful aspects on June 15.  Mars in Leo is forming an exact square to Uranus in 28 degrees of Taurus and Jupiter in Cancer is squaring Saturn in 1 degree of Aries.

Mars in Leo squaring Uranus in Taurus has themes of impulsiveness, cravings for excitement, recklessness and sudden actions.  It can be a very accident-prone vibe, so be careful driving.  I certainly hope that there are no more plane crashes.  Conflict is possible.  The Moon is in Aquarius on that day and it is inconjunct Mercury in 12 degrees of Cancer, which only serves to heighten the volatility factor which is in high gear from June 11-16. Harsh words could be flying all over the place. Uranus rules the sign of Aquarius. Both Mars and Uranus are in fixed signs, which implies a great deal of stubbornness.  Uranus in Taurus can involve changes pertaining to stability and finances.  If you have any planets in the late degrees of the fixed signs (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio), I guarantee that you are going to feel this aspect intensely.  Mars will be conjunct my Pluto in Leo, so I know this one won't be easy...

Remember last week I said that even though Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, it won't be smooth sailing right away?  On June 15, Jupiter in Cancer squares Saturn in 1 degree of Aries. This aspect screams inner tension and limiting circumstances.  Jupiter wants to expand and Saturn is all about structures and testing us.  There can also be financial hardships with Jupiter squaring Saturn.  A crisis point can emerge that forces us to end destructive behavior patterns like excessive criticism and addictions.  I am not going to sugarcoat this aspect; it can be a real struggle to overcome limitations but hard work and determination will pay off. It can be a day when our patience is sorely tested.  Anyone with planets in the early degrees of the cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn will bear the brunt of this aspect.

Mars gets out of Leo on June 17 and enters Virgo, where it resides until August 6.  Mars is the planet of passion and what motivates us.  Mars in Virgo is all about the details; we are galvanized to get things right and perfect.  Mars is in an earth sign now, which can be much more practical and rational than in a fire sign. Anger can erupt if things aren't right, though. Try not to let your inner perfectionist sabotage you or be too critical. When Mars is in Virgo, we can also have a tendency to overanalyze.  We can use the transit of Mars in Virgo constructively to help others and embrace a more holistic lifestyle.  Paying attention to the details of our health to improve is a positive use of this energy.

Jupiter in Cancer will be squaring Neptune in 2 degrees of Aries on June 18.  Jupiter squaring Neptune can cause overindulgence, overoptimism and over-idealism as well as a lack of discrimination.  We can also experience a strong desire for escapism.  Our faith might be tested on this day.  It is definitely not the best day to gamble.  If you need some escapism on this day, try a safer form of indulging through streaming some movies or TV shows.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. A Wild Week Ahead with Mercury and Neptune Meeting up in Pisces, Mars Squaring Uranus, Mercury Entering Aries and a New Moon in Pisces

 

Remember how I said that last week was indicating calm energy to start the month of March? Well, scratch that because this is one month that is coming in like a lamb and going out like a lion.  On March 8, Mercury and Neptune are conjunct 27 degrees of Pisces. This will definitely impact our thinking and communication in either a positive or negative manner.  We can be more psychic and intuitive, but the lower-level manifestation of this energy can involve deception, confusion and paranoia.  The fact that this conjunction occurs in the mutable water sign of Pisces can support the deceit theme but it can also deliver profound spiritual insight.  I have heard so many stories this week of people having their financial accounts hacked and false charges on their credit cards racked up, so I urge everyone to exercise extreme caution and vigilance.  I have a natal Mercury-Neptune conjunction in my 1st house, so I am no stranger to this energy. I am extremely psychic and sensitive to other people's vibrations and have tried to channel it constructively in my work.  But I am fully aware of its capacity to deceive and leave me vulnerable to feeling like a victim or martyr. And I discovered many years ago that I need to protect myself from the flood of emotions that surround me or risk emotional drowning.  White light became my best friend and protector.  Mercury conjunct Neptune can also be responsible for generating rumors and dissolving things that are no longer working for us. Situations or people could be fading from our lives.

On March 9, Mars in Aquarius will be exactly squaring Uranus in 19 degrees of Taurus.  Let's face it, most of us have been feeling the urge to break free from restrictions and rebel against authority that has been cramping down on us for some time. It has been building for the past week.  We are probably going to feel like acting rashly without regard for the outcome and this can lead to disruption and conflict.  It can also lead to accidents, so I urge everyone to be especially careful on this day. The big question is where it playing out for you.  For me, Mars in Aquarius is in my 5th house and Uranus in Taurus is in my 8th house.

On the same day, the Sun in Pisces is forming a supportive sextile to Uranus in 19 degrees of Taurus.  At least this aspect can deliver some pleasant surprises, as it is an easy and flowing influence that can encourages trying something new and exciting. But because Uranus is involved and we are still on the heels of the Mars-Uranus square, a little caution is still called for on this day to avoid any accidents or mishaps. We just might benefit from increased self-awareness.

Mercury is entering Aries as well on March 9.  And it will be in Aries until May 15 because guess what?  Mercury will be retrograde from April 1 to April 25.  When Mercury is in Aries, we are very assertive and tend to open up the lines of communication. We are inclined to say exactly what we are thinking and feeling.  We also have more courage to do so (Aries is ruled by the planet Mars) but we can also be more impulsive.  It can be a time when we communicate in a very blunt manner and make quick decisions.  A lot of important news could be forthcoming with Mercury in Aries for this extended period of time.

All of this leads up to a Super New Moon in 20 degrees of Pisces on March 10, 2024.  It is a Super Moon because it is so close to the earth. And it is the doorway to eclipse season that officially commences on March 25 with a Lunar Eclipse in Libra that will impact relationships in a big way. This will be a very emotional New Moon infused with a jolt of creativity and a desire to launch our dreams.  This New Moon is also conjunct Neptune in 27 degrees of Pisces, so I especially encourage you to visualize what you want and plant those seeds. Mercury in Aries is also forming a supportive sextile to Pluto in 1 degree of Aquarius on the New Moon, which will add more depth and intensity to our thinking and conversations.  And it can reveal some big secrets.

On March 11, Venus enters Pisces until April 5. Venus is exalted in the sign of Pisces, so it is definitely a happy camper here.  When Venus is in Pisces, we are more compassionate, empathetic and capable of unconditional love.  But emotions can be all over the place, as Pisces is the mutable water sign, after all.  Don't forget to set boundaries in relationships or you could wind up feeling like a martyr.  This is a highly spiritual placement for Venus and our creativity can also flourish.  We should also remember to use this energy to forgive ourselves as well as others.  Since the planet Venus also pertains to finances, try not to make any major economic decisions now because it is far too easy to be gullible now.

Mercury is on the Move, Mars in Leo Squares Uranus in Taurus and the Sun in Cancer Trines Saturn in Pisces

 

Mercury is moving pretty fast these days; it has certainly bounced back from its recent retrograde.  Mercury is getting ready to leave one of its favorite signs, Gemini, but before it does, it squares Neptune in 27 degrees of Pisces on June 25.  This could be a tricky day, rife with confusion and misunderstandings.  Something that has been hidden could come to light in a big way in the news.  Pay close attention because there are literally two sides to every story.  This aspect could also play out with feeling lazy or lethargic.  It falls on a Sunday, so cut yourself some slack and chill out if you need to.

On June 26, Mercury enters the cardinal water sign of Cancer until July 11.  This is a whole different vibe as Mercury shifts from a cerebral sign to a highly emotional and sensitive sign. Communication is focused on expressing our emotions, discussing personal matters and processing our feelings.  Our intuition is stronger now and we should find it easier to listen to others now too.  We could also find ourselves being more sentimental and nostalgic, but it does have a shadow side of being snappy like the crab and can also be inclined towards spitefulness.  Strategy and action are also part of the Mercury in Cancer package.  It's a very brief transit, so make the most of it.

We have a very challenging aspect also occurring on June 26.  Mars in Leo is squaring Uranus in 19 degrees of Taurus. This can be somewhat explosive and I wouldn't be surprised if it triggered some arguments.  We will be in the mood to break free from restrictions and rebel against authority.  It can also be difficult to relax while these two planets are at cross purposes.  If you have any planets around 19 degrees of the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius, you will definitely feel the effects of this aspect.  My Sun is in 19 degrees of Scorpio, so I am definitely in this camp.  I have been dealing with Uranus in Taurus opposing my Sun, so with Mars in the mix, it should ramp up the energy and intensity of the theme of sudden and abrupt changes...

If you are feeling like you need a break from the Mars-Uranus square on the 26th of June, relief is on the way when the Sun in Cancer trines Saturn in 7 degrees of Pisces on June 28.  The Sun trining Saturn makes it easier and less stressful to deal with responsibilities.  It favors making plans and constructive changes because it will be easier to focus on details.  It is also possible to receive a promotion or some form of recognition for our past efforts. The Moon is also in Scorpio on that day, so we have the added perk of a Grand Water Trine.  The Moon will be trining Mercury in Cancer in addition to the Sun and Saturn in Pisces, providing us with more power to focus and regenerate.

An Empowering Full Moon in Virgo and the Sun Enters Aries

 

Today, March 18 is the day of the Full Moon in 27 degrees of Virgo.  While this is not technically a Super Moon, it will prove to be a pretty powerful Full Moon given the current state of the world.  The Sun in Pisces and Moon in Virgo are signs associated with health and they can work together to heal the body and the soul.  But they can also generate confusion and clarity as we are forced to see things that we don't want to see.  Virgo loves to analyze and fix things.  It is definitely a time to take care of our health but also to release our need for perfectionism.

Full Moons are highly emotional times and this one is no exception.  I know that most people have been feeling its effects since earlier in the week.  On March 17 I tweeted:

What is going on with the astrological landscape of this Full Moon?  I think that we need to acknowledge the Grand Earth Trine involving the Moon in 27 degrees of Virgo, Pluto in 28 degrees of Capricorn and the North Node in 24 degrees of Taurus.  The North Node represents our collective soul path in life and what we should be striving to achieve.  Earth energy likes to get things done and with a Full Moon in Virgo we have a strong theme of spiritual and practical service to others.  Frankly, I can't think of a better time to act on this compassionate and spiritual vibe. This Full Moon is occurring in my 12th house trining my Chiron in Capricorn so I am all for doing whatever can be done to heal myself and others.

There is a theme of empowerment with this Full Moon because the Sun in Pisces is forming a supportive sextile to Pluto in Capricorn and the Moon is trining it.  With the Sun sextiling Pluto, we might find ourselves resurrecting an old interest or talent from the past and reclaiming it.  We can run with this energy to make it a time of empowerment for the people by putting our best intentions forward to serve the collective good.  The Sun and Neptune in 23 degrees of Pisces are also conjunct on the Full Moon, adding to the compassionate nature of this Full Moon. Mercury in 13 degrees of Pisces is conjunct Jupiter 18 degrees of Pisces on the Full Moon, which will provide a boost of creative energy that also benefits from the sextile to Uranus in 12 degrees of Taurus.

Uranus in Taurus isn't done stirring the pot with the Full Moon.  On March 19 Venus in 12 degrees of Aquarius is squaring Uranus in 12 degrees of Taurus.  This aspect can bring sudden romantic upsets or emotional breakups.  It's pretty volatile energy.  But it can also increase our interest in music and the arts, so it does have some perks.  On March 22 Mars in 12 degrees of Aquarius is taking its turn squaring Uranus in 12 degrees of Taurus.  These two planets are definitely not playing nicely in the sandbox and we can expect more emotional upsets, possibly more earthquakes and there is a clear and present danger of cyberattacks.

But on March 20 the Sun moves into Aries for the first day of Spring and the Astrological New Year.  It is officially International Astrology Day.  The Sun is leaving the mutable and highly emotional water sign of Pisces for the cardinal fire sign of Aries.  Our focus will shift to feeling more impulsive and craving action. We are enthusiastic, spontaneous, direct and motivated by the desire to conquer. It is a time to take action and let go of the past.  We have more courage to pursue our dreams, the ones that were cultivated when the Sun was in Pisces.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice in order to practice social distancing. I no longer have my Brookline office, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. Mars in Leo Sets off Fireworks to Begin the Month of July and Mercury Squares Neptune Take Three

I’m sure that it comes as no big surprise that Mars in Leo is very busy this month triggering the Saturn-Uranus square, the defining astrological theme of 2021.  The month of July kicked off with Mars in Leo forming an exact opposition to Saturn in 12 degrees of Aquarius.  On that day I tweeted:

The Aries Moon squaring the Sun in Cancer today exacerbates the Mars-Saturn opposition by making us even more impatient and focused on getting our needs met fast. Try to scale down expectations if possible. #astrology

It would be an understatement to say that it was a frustrating day.  As usual, I was right in the middle of the action. Mars and Saturn were exactly squaring my natal Saturn in Scorpio in my 1^st house and Mars was opposing my natal Mars in Aquarius in my 4^th house while Saturn was conjunct it.  And did I mention that Mars in Leo is currently transiting my 10^th house?  I wasn’t the happiest of campers on that day, to say the least.

On July 3, Mars in Leo is exactly squaring Uranus in 13 degrees of Taurus.  If you are still recovering from yesterday’s Mars hit, be prepared for some highly volatile energy on that day which will feature sudden outbursts, nervous energy and, I hate to say it, but it does exist: the potential for violence.  It is very unsettling energy and is further complicated by the fact the Moon is in Aries until 8:28 a.m. on the 3^rd, compounding the impulsive, me-first vibe.  But the Taurus Moon does having a saving grace aspect on the 3^rd: it forms a supportive sextile to Jupiter in Pisces which should help restore our faith somewhat. 

But on July 4, the United States’ birthday, the Taurus Moon conjuncts Uranus in Taurus and squares Mars in 14 degrees of Leo.  These aspects will only serve to ramp up the unpredictablity scale and it’s highly likely that tempers will flare.  Try to avoid traveling if possible and attending large gatherings.

We get another day to breathe on July 5, but July 6 features the third exact square of Mercury in Gemini to Neptune in 23 degrees of Pisces.  The first one occurred on May 22 a few days before the Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius on May 26 and the second one happened on June 5 when Mercury was retrograde and right before the Solar Eclipse in Gemini on June 10.  Both planets will be direct on this third hit, but I encourage everyone to reflect on what was happening in your lives back then.  Mercury in Gemini was very active in eclipse season and now that is in direct motion (clearing its retrograde shadow on July 7), we just might get some mental clarity on whatever issues were troubling us during the past six weeks.  It’s the third pass of this aspect, and I personally ascribe to the theory that it takes most of us until the third time an aspect is exact to fully absorb the lesson of it and move on.  Food for thought…

Venus in Leo is forming an exact opposition to Saturn in 12 degrees of Aquarius as well on the 6^th of July.  This is a red flag to warn us that we will probably be feeling overly sensitive on that day and our feelings could get hurt quite easily.  Venus-Saturn contacts are not exactly known for a warm and fuzzy vibe.
