We are currently in the midst of a magical
mystery tour of the season of Pisces which hits its high note on February 26,
2017 with a solar eclipse in 8 degrees of Pisces. The sun entered Pisces on
February 18th, inspiring me to tweet:
Big Day astrologically as sun enters #Pisces. A month of compassion, sensitivity, spirituality & possible escapist desires. #astrology— Linda Simons (@danceofphoenix) February 18, 2017
Not only will the sun and moon be in Pisces,
but Chiron, Neptune, the south node and Mercury will also be in Pisces. Mercury enters Pisces on February 25, 2017. Communications take on a more compassionate
tone, but there can be some fuzziness and clarity may be sacrificed. Pardon the pun.
The Piscean themes of surrender, creativity,
forgiveness, acceptance and release are amplified with this extremely intense
solar eclipse. It will be a highly
emotional time, especially in the uber-sensitive water sign of Pisces. The prelude
to this eclipse actually began being felt on February 21, 2017 when the sun in Pisces
conjuncted the south node in 3 degrees of Pisces. This aspect brought up elements of the past
for review that needed to be released with love and forgiveness. With such a heavy emphasis in Pisces, this
aspect also indicates a need to let go of old fantasies that are no longer
serving us and are in the long run impeding our progress.
Solar eclipses are renowned for being times of
new beginnings, but a solar eclipse in Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac,
places a heavy emphasis on the need to let go and surrender something before
that new beginning can occur. I don’t know
if any of you watch the TV show This is
Us, but I thought that the episode that aired on February 21, 2017 was
quite symbolic of this aspect. It had a
very Piscean flavor in that its storyline focused on a dying man who was trying
to make peace by going home one last time to make amends to a relative he had
hurt years earlier. The fact that the character was a recovering addict was no
accident and this episode of the series was reputed to have been the most tear
jerking one so far.
This solar eclipse in Pisces is very
complicated because of all the players and the anxiety that it generates. On
February 22, 2017, Mars in Aries squared Pluto in Capricorn, which is highly
indicative of power struggles and confrontations. The fact that the Capricorn moon conjuncted
Pluto only added fuel to that fire and provoked more anxiety. On that day I tweeted:
Power struggles could emerge today as ♑️moon conjuncts Pluto & Mars in ♈️squares Pluto in Capricorn. Expect drama & tension. #astrology— Linda Simons (@danceofphoenix) February 22, 2017
We face another stressful aspect from Mars in
Aries on the day of the eclipse when it conjuncts Uranus in 22 degrees of
Aries. All I can say in terms of giving advice on coping with this aspect is to
think before you act because it will feel very natural to give in to impulsive
actions and reckless abandon. Mars is
also conjunct Eris in Aries, which symbolizes the spiritual warrior. The fight against injustice and oppression
could trigger even more protests this weekend because this aspect evokes the
peace and love themes that characterized the Uranus Pluto conjunction in Virgo
during the 1960’s. But this solar
eclipse features Venus, Mars, Uranus and Eris in Aries squaring Pluto in
Capricorn and opposing Jupiter in Libra in a tight T-square. This really amps up the nervous tension. It also increases the likelihood of accidents
and sudden changes in health.
A calmer attitude prevailed on February 23rd when Mercury sextiled Saturn. On that day I tweeted:
A calmer attitude prevailed on February 23rd when Mercury sextiled Saturn. On that day I tweeted:
Calmer emotions may prevail today as moon enters ♒️. We are able to be more detached & rational after yesterday's Pluto intensity.#astrology— Linda Simons (@danceofphoenix) February 23, 2017
The stressful aspects to Pluto, Uranus and Mars
during this solar eclipse may tempt us to go into denial mode, especially with
Neptune in Pisces conjunct the eclipse.
That is Neptune conjunct both the sun and moon, don’t forget, so it
packs a real escapist punch. But the
best course of action is to face reality wherever 8 degrees of Pisces is
falling in your chart. For me, it is in
my 5th house, which can be a veritable playground for escapism. And it trines my south node in Cancer, which is stirring up issues from my past. If you are wondering how this eclipse is affecting
you, consider getting an astrological reading with me to obtain more insight
into releasing karmic baggage from your past that no longer serves you and
moving forward. This is a south node solar eclipse, so letting go is a prerequisite.
While the effects of this eclipse may sound
ominous, there are definitely ways it can manifest its magic. How do you channel this energy
constructively? For starters, pay
attention to your dreams and your intuition for at least three days preceding
this solar eclipse in Pisces. Visualize what
you want to achieve, because Pisces is so intertwined with dreams and
intuition. And recognize that while Mars
in Aries can be disruptive with its aspects to Uranus and Pluto, the flip side
of the coin is that it can be energizing.
Yes, Uranus is literally being activated by Mars in Aries, but try to
remember that Uranus is getting a boost from Saturn in Sagittarius courtesy of
the ongoing trine throughout the year of 2017.
With both Uranus and Saturn in fire signs, the universe is giving us an
adrenaline boost of energy to ground those new ideas.
Recently I undertook an intensive life purpose
coaching training program and became certified as a Life Purpose Coach. It was an intense, eye-opening experience
that changed my life as it caused me to reflect on the story of my life. But I left it with feelings of hope and light
for the future that I want to share with others. To that end, I am now offering Life Purpose
Coaching to my menu of services. You can
read more about it at:
As an astrologer, I have decided to include an
interpretation of the north node by sign and house placement as part of my

valuable insight and tools. If you are

forecast, I also offer a basic astrological reading that will offer insight
into your astrological DNA and the major themes in your life and delving into
any pressing issues, one question astrological readings and composite couple
readings that offer insight into the purpose of a relationship. And I offer
shorter transit readings for three and six months. If you purchase a three or
six month transit reading, I will .even take a peek at the eclipses of 2017. They

The north node in Virgo has an underlying theme
of service to others. In that spirit of
pursuing my path as a healer, I am still channeling that Virgo north node
energy by offering my Reiki services. If
you are in the Boston area, please consider getting a Reiki treatment at
Acupuncture for Everyone in Copley Square to destress, revitalize and remove
blockages to healing. It’s a perfect way
to start your weekend off and can also be described as a spa for the soul to
boot! Reiki is the most profound
treatment for stress relief because it concentrates on CALMING your body.

For my clients who can’t fit Friday into their schedule
for a treatment or have difficulty traveling, I have also recently begun doing
distance Reiki sessions for them. I have
a conversation with them about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set
up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive
healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their
experience and my perception of their blockages. I have also incorporated a new technique with
my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my
client. I use a teddy bear so that I can
scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. If this appeals to you,
please feel free to contact me by email at lindasim54@gmail.com or call me at 617-304-2205.
I also began seeing clients on Sunday afternoons in Coolidge
Corner, Brookline for Reiki treatments on February 5, 2017. I actually signed the paperwork on the office
sublet on January 27th, the day of the new moon in Aquarius, and
when I opened for business on February 5th, Venus was in Aries in my
6th house. Talk about working
that entrepreneurial spirit! You can learn more about my expanded practice,
including the hours and address at:
I have also launched an endeavor that will deliver my services to
you at an affordable cost in the form of package deals. I am offering four options: Silver, Gold, Platinum
and a Tarot special for my tarot clients. Please check it out at:
