We are thickly entrenched in Pisces season these days. The Sun has been in Pisces since February 18 and Venus joined the Sun on February 25. Neptune remains in Pisces until 2025. On March 10, the Sun and Neptune hooked up in Pisces, inspiring me to tweet:
The annual Sun-Neptune conjunction occurs today in 20 degrees of Pisces. We will be more intuitive, spiritual, empathetic and creative. But we also need to be aware of those trying to take advantage of us because that is Neptune’s shadow side. #astrology

But there is more to come in terms of that Piscean dreamy
vibe. We have a New Moon in 23 degrees
of Pisces on March 13. Traditionally New
Moons are all about setting intentions and planting seeds for our dreams and
this one has some potent energy for turning our dreams into a reality. It is conjunct Venus and Neptune in 20
degrees of Pisces. Neptune is the ruler
of Pisces, which elevates this New Moon to eclipse status in terms of it being
like a New Moon on steroids. Neptune can
serve as a muse and inspire us to be more selfless, compassionate and
empathetic. The New Moon in Pisces is
also getting a boost with a sextile from Pluto in 26 degrees of Capricorn; this
will add a tone of spiritual renewal to the mix. Neptune definitely has its shadow side, which
includes chaos, confusion, deception, loss and sacrifice. COVID-19 is a perfect example of Neptune at
its worst, so don’t be surprised if you hear some negative news about the
vaccine or mutations.
But the perk of having this New Moon in Pisces is that if we need trust our intuition for making decisions, we will be richly rewarded. This is one of those times that we need to pay close attention to and heed our gut instincts with all of this water energy. And don’t forget your dreams because they will probably be more active around this time as they can be a rich source of information for us. Mars in Gemini is also trining Saturn in Aquarius on the New Moon, which is an extremely favorable influence for making choices about new paths to embark on. Mars in Gemini presents us with at least two choices, but its trine to Saturn in the fixed sign of Aquarius is a green light for acting on something that will go the distance and create some stability for the future. Technology could feature prominently in these decisions.
On March 15 Mercury sails into Pisces after having spent what seemed like an eternity in the sign of Aquarius due to the Mercury retrograde that occurred from January 30 to February 20. Mercury actually cleared its retrograde shadow on the New Moon, so we are all set. Mercury will be in Pisces until April 3. Mercury in Pisces will mark a big change in communication. Mercury in Aquarius was all about detached thinking, but Mercury in Pisces features thinking on an intuitive and emotional level. Communication is more about the feels and less about the words. We will be very creative, but a lot less detail-oriented, so we might forget certain appointments. Don’t be surprised if you find it harder to distinguish fact from fantasy and start embracing escapism and denial. Fogginess in communication could prevail; the mental clarity of Mercury in Aquarius is no longer with us. It’s like we are walking on the beach on an overcast day.

The coronavirus outbreak is causing me
to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people are
concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my
in-person Reiki sessions until further notice in order to practice social
distancing. I no longer have my Brookline office, so all of my Reiki sessions
will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. When it becomes
clearer that the virus no longer poses a threat, I will find a new space to
practice. In the meantime, a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity
to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus,
you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have
a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we
set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to
receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss
their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my
clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so
that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my
distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client. I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and
