Save the date of May 10, 2017 because it will be jam-packed with astrological news. For starters, the north node enters the sign of Leo on that day while the south node simultaneously enters the sign of Aquarius. This is a major event that has not occurred since September 1998 through April 2000.
The north node represents where our soul is
going and the south node is all about our past and its accompanying karmic
baggage. With the north node entering
Leo, where it will reside until November 7, 2018, our path will become more
heart-centered as we become open to more optimism, joy, creativity and
self-expression. The north node in Virgo
had more of a focus on service to others, but the north node in Leo is all about
finding your time to shine, take risks and become a great leader. The coming year and a half is not the time to
get lost in the crowd! It’s time to have
fun and act on your passions, priorities and values.
What does the south node in Aquarius bring to
the table? A south node in Aquarius has
rebellious energy, thinks differently, marches to the beat of a different
drummer and has a tendency to be overly intellectual while blocking out their
feelings. I remember my astrology
teacher saying many years ago that it can be a truly frightening experience for
Aquarius when they do get in touch in with their emotions because they are so
good at detachment. But Aquarius also possesses the potential for sheer genius
and objectivity. Aquarius is also
associated with groups, a search for the truth and challenging the status
quo.
We need to integrate the positive qualities of
the Aquarius objectivity, search for truth and questioning the status quo with
the Leo traits of passion, enthusiasm and generosity. Maybe many of us will find it is our time to
be leading a group while the north node is in Leo. Leo is one hot, passionate sign ruled by the sun
while cool, collected Aquarius is ruled by Uranus. This is not an impossible
nodal combination to integrate. Mahatma
Gandhi, Princess Diana and Joni Mitchell all had a north node in Leo and a
south node in Aquarius.
The bottom line with the nodes of the moon is
that there are always challenges involved with integrating the wisdom of the
past and stretching out of our comfort zone to achieve the soul’s destiny. At some point, we need to release whatever
qualities of the south node that are holding us back and no longer serving us.
With the south node in Aquarius, we need to release any inflexibility and
aloofness to embrace the north node Leo qualities of warmth, risk-taking and
humor.
We will also experience a full moon in 20
degrees of Scorpio at 5:42 pm on May 10, 2017.
This is going to be one intensely emotional, transformational full
moon. A major theme of full moons is a
cycle of completion and with this full moon in the most emotional water sign of
the zodiac, there is added emphasis on releasing emotions and behavior patterns
that no longer serve us. But Scorpio
has a secret weapon in that it can the most focused sign when it sets its mind
on something; it is like a laser beam directing its light and energy.
There are a lot of planets feeding into this
full moon. Mercury and Uranus are
conjunct in 25 degrees of Aries. Mercury
and Uranus have had an ongoing conjunction in Aries, but Mercury is direct this
time around, so the mind is speeded up and we are dealing with an information overload. Most recently Mercury was conjunct Uranus on
April 28, 2017, but Mercury was still retrograde. Anyone with planets in 23-25 degrees of the
cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn have been feeling this
effect big time. Mea culpa—I have my
Neptune and Chiron involved in this heady mix.
My Neptune in Libra is in opposition to this conjunction and my Chiron
is being squared by it. This full moon
is also conjunct my sun in Scorpio, so it will really be hitting me where I
live. There is a strong need to stay grounded during this transit, but the perk
of it is that is a real boon for new ideas and perspectives.
We are also still under the influence of the
Saturn in Sagittarius/Chiron in Pisces square. On April 30, 2017 when the
aspect was exact in 27 degrees of both signs, I tweeted:
Mars in 12 degrees of Gemini and Neptune in 13 degrees of Pisces are also featured heavily in this full moon. They are in a challenging square with each other, which can definitely remind us of some old pain, but with Mars trining Jupiter in 14 degrees of Libra, we have a spiritual boost in rising above it if we keep the faith. Hopefully, the higher level of this aspect will
manifest in spiritually inspired action instead of massive confusion.
Saturn in ♐️ squaring Chiron in ♓️ today brings awareness of the truth & limitations of our wounds so healing can occur. #astrology— Linda Simons (@danceofphoenix) April 30, 2017
Saturn in Sagittarius squaring Chiron in Pisces
is demanding that we live our truth on a deeper level. And
with the Mercury/Uranus conjunction in Aries trining Saturn in Sagittarius, our
efforts can really pay off if we are willing to do the work to make those
changes happen. Mercury and Uranus in
Aries trining Saturn in Sagittarius can give us a futuristic vision and a real
sense of clarity. But there is also the
possibility of hearing some really shocking news around this full moon.
If you are curious as to how these astrological
changes are impacting you or seeking more spiritual insight into your life,
please consider getting an astrological reading. An astrological reading can
provide valuable insight and tools. If
you are not quite ready for a full blown natal interpretation or a solar return
forecast, I also offer a basic astrological reading that will offer insight
into your astrological DNA and the major themes in your life and delving into
any pressing issues, one question astrological readings and composite couple
readings that offer insight into the purpose of a relationship. And I offer
shorter transit readings for three and six months. If you purchase a three or
six month transit reading, I will .even take a peek at the next set of eclipses
in 2017. The August eclipses promise to be heavy hitters. And they will occur
in the signs of nodes, including the
opportunity to provide a donation in the amount of your choice to demonstrate
your support for my blog and daily astrological insights on Twitter at:
A contribution in any amount is deeply appreciated as gratitude is
a daily part of my spiritual practice.
Recently I undertook an intensive life purpose

for the future that I want to share with others. To that end, I am now offering Life Purpose
Coaching to my menu of services. You can

For my clients who can’t fit Friday into their schedule
for a treatment or have difficulty traveling, I have also recently begun doing
distance Reiki sessions for them. I have
a conversation with them about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set
up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive
healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their
experience and my perception of their blockages. I have also incorporated a new technique with
my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my
client. I use a teddy bear so that I can
scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. If this appeals to you,
please feel free to contact me by email at lindasim54@gmail.com or call me at 617-304-2205.
Additionally, I began seeing clients on Sunday afternoons in
Coolidge Corner, Brookline for Reiki treatments on February 5, 2017. I actually signed the paperwork on the office
sublet on January 27th, the day of the new moon in Aquarius, and
when I opened for business on February 5th, Venus was in Aries in my
6th house. Talk about working
that entrepreneurial spirit! You can learn more about my expanded practice,
including the hours and address at:
I have also launched an endeavor that will deliver my services to
you at an affordable cost in the form of package deals. I am offering four options: Silver, Gold, Platinum
and a Tarot special for my tarot clients. Please check it out at:
