Neptune Challenges our Reality and Mercury Re- Enters Taurus

The games are definitely NOT over. The full moon in Scorpio packed a punch on May 10th, but we still have plenty of planetary action to contend with in the coming week.  We had a full moon in 20 degrees of Scorpio on May 10th in addition to the north node moving into Leo.  On that day I tweeted:

But Neptune in Pisces kicked up the level of surrealism another notch on May 11th when it was squared by Mars in Gemini.  On that day I tweeted:
It’s no big secret that we are living in an age of fake news and a political reality that many Americans find hard to stomach.  Personally, I found it quite ironic that President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey as the north node was entering Leo and conjuncting his ascendant.  Many would question if that action was an example of sound leadership.  But the deal with Neptune is that while in its highest state it can indeed bring spiritual awareness and redemption, it is also renowned for bringing confusion, deception, Illusion and idealization.  Visualize smoke and mirrors, fog and a predisposition towards addiction and I think you get the picture.  We are literally in a Neptunian haze these days.  Don’t forget the accompanying theme of victim/victimizer to get the complete Neptune experience.

Mars in Gemini squaring Neptune in Pisces is triggering collective feelings of anger and fear about the hidden agendas that exist in our world.  But I have some hope that the truth can and will come out.  This Mars/Neptune aspect occurred right after the full moon in Scorpio, and we all know that Scorpios are great detectives, determined to leave no stone unturned.  And full moons are a time of revelation.  I am a Scorpio, and while that does make me Plutonic with Pluto as the ruler of Scorpio, I also relate strongly to being a Neptunian because Neptune is conjunct my Libra ascendant.  I feel everything that is going on around me; no escape for me!  Just this week I read a very enlightening article about Neptune conjunct the ascendant natally and by transit.  It was written by astrologer Jamie King and I highly recommend it.  You can find it at:

On May 17, 2017 Jupiter in Libra will be inconjuncting Neptune in Pisces in 14 degrees of their respective signs.  Inconjuncts are challenging, uncomfortable aspects that require adjustment between the two planets to achieve some level of functioning and peaceful coexistence.  This aspect will further challenge reality (Jupiter) vs. fantasy (Neptune).  Our Jupiterian enthusiasm in the fairness seeking sign of Libra may be clouded, confused and disillusioned.  Our ideals need to be adjusted more realistically.  Compassion, as represented by Neptune in Pisces, is a good thing, but be careful not to let guilt get involved in the mix.  We may find it hard to discern if other people really need our help.  Under the auspices of this aspect, it may be all too easy to overextend ourselves into the area of codependent behavior.  This aspect will serve as a trial and error exercise that hones our imaginative and humanitarian skills.   On a personal level, I know that I will really need to be mindful because Jupiter is currently in my 12th house conjunct my ascendant and Neptune is in my 6th house.  I need to remember that I can’t rescue the world, just give whatever healing people allow me to extend.

On May 16, 2017 Mercury re-enters the sign of Taurus. Mercury was in Taurus in April and stationed retrograde in 4 degrees of Taurus on April 20, 2017.  This is good news because it means Mercury will be clearing its retrograde shadow when it reaches 4 degrees of Taurus on May 21st.  Mercury will remain in the sign of Taurus until June 6, 2017.

What can we expect with Mercury in Taurus?  After Mercury’s extended stay in freewheeling Aries, we will be communicating more deliberately and our thinking will be more grounded and down to earth.  Our preference will be on the tried and true as opposed to the new and innovative.  This will be a marked change from Mercury in Aries.  Simple practical steps will bring us the best results during this transit.  The only potential downside to this transit is a tendency towards rigidity and stubbornness.  But it can also be viewed as a do-over for any unresolved issues from early April.

If you are curious as to how these astrological changes are impacting you or seeking more spiritual insight into your life, please consider getting an astrological reading. An astrological reading can provide valuable insight and tools.  If you are not quite ready for a full blown natal interpretation or a solar return forecast, I also offer a basic astrological reading that will offer insight into your astrological DNA and the major themes in your life and delving into any pressing issues, one question astrological readings and composite couple readings that offer insight into the purpose of a relationship. And I offer shorter transit readings for three and six months. If you purchase a three or six month transit reading, I will .even take a peek at the next set of eclipses in 2017. The August eclipses promise to be heavy hitters. And they will occur in the signs of nodes,   including the opportunity to provide a donation in the amount of your choice to demonstrate your support for my blog and daily astrological insights on Twitter at:

A contribution in any amount is deeply appreciated as gratitude is a daily part of my spiritual practice.

Recently I undertook an intensive life purpose coaching training program and became certified as a Life Purpose Coach.  It was an intense, eye-opening experience that changed my life as it caused me to reflect on the story of my life.  But I left it with feelings of hope and light for the future that I want to share with others.  To that end, I am now offering Life Purpose Coaching to my menu of services.  You can read more about it at:

As an astrologer, I have decided to include an interpretation of the north node by sign. Especially with 2017 being a Universal Year 1, this is a marvelous time to navigate a new direction in your life that will fulfill you and your soul’s purpose. If you are feeling stuck and need some help in getting from Point A to Point B in your quest for making positive changes in your life, please email me at lindasim54@gmail.com to schedule a complementary telephone consultation to discover if you are a good fit for this program.  I look forward to hearing from you.

For my clients who can’t fit Friday into their schedule for a treatment or have difficulty traveling, I have also recently begun doing distance Reiki sessions for them.  I have a conversation with them about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages.  I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. If this appeals to you, please feel free to contact me by email at lindasim54@gmail.com or call me at 617-304-2205.

Additionally, I began seeing clients on Sunday afternoons in Coolidge Corner, Brookline for Reiki treatments on February 5, 2017.  I actually signed the paperwork on the office sublet on January 27th, the day of the new moon in Aquarius, and when I opened for business on February 5th, Venus was in Aries in my 6th house.  Talk about working that entrepreneurial spirit!   You can learn more about my expanded practice, including the hours and address at:

I have also launched an endeavor that will deliver my services to you at an affordable cost in the form of package deals.  I am offering four options: Silver, Gold, Platinum and a Tarot special for my tarot clients. Please check it out at:

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers out there!  If you are looking for an unusual, special gift for mom this year, please consider giving her an astrological reading or a Reiki treatment.
