Venus in Leo Tangos with Pluto in Aquarius While Uranus in Taurus Calls the Shots as it Conjuncts Mars on July 15

 

Venus just entered Leo on July 11 and it wastes no time creating more drama on July 12 when it opposes Pluto in 0 degrees of Aquarius. By this time, I think that all of us are getting used to Pluto in Aquarius taking the hits when planets change signs and aspect it.  Venus opposing Pluto can trigger intense emotions, power dynamics and control issues.  And let's not forget that manipulation can rear its ugly head with this aspect in play.  Paranoia is another possible manifestation and I wouldn't count out the potential for attracting obsessive people into our orbit.  

On July 15, we have a real powerhouse aspect: Mars and Uranus are conjunct in 26 degrees of Taurus.  This aspect occurs every two years, and the last one happened on August 2, 2022 in 22 degrees of Taurus. What are the themes of a Mars-Uranus conjunction? For starters, we want to break free of limiting situations in our pursuit of freedom and major change. Structures tend to get broken down and Uranus by its very nature can be very disruptive.  It is also an accident-prone aspect, so we all need to be careful on this day.  Risk-taking is not exactly a good idea when Mars and Uranus are conjunct. Uranus is not all that comfortable in the fixed sign of Taurus and this time around (it has been in Taurus since 2018), it has done a number with destructive weather patterns. Uranus has an 84-year cycle and the last time it was in Taurus was from 1935 to 1942.  This period coincided with the Great Depression, the rise of fascism and World War II.  So perhaps we can learn something that period.  History has a way of repeating itself if we don't pay attention.

The effects of the Mars-Uranus conjunction will last for more than one day; they are setting up a pattern of sudden upsets and surprising incidents that feature very rebellious energy. I know that I personally have been feeling its effects all of this week because it exactly squares my Pluto in Leo and is inconjunct my Neptune in Libra. I have been hearing from clients and friends that they are feeling it too.  The bottom line with this aspect is that it causes us to feel like we can't endure a certain situation any longer. 

It is a little more serious this time because this conjunction is also conjunct the fixed star Algol in 26 degrees of Taurus.  I am by no means an expert on fixed stars, but I can tell you that the connection to Algol is associated with leaders losing power, or in the olden days, literally losing their heads.  And the Republican National Convention starts in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 15...

Uranus in Taurus is cutting us some slack on July 18 when it receives a supportive sextile from the Sun in 26 degrees of Cancer. Sextiles are positive aspects that create opportunities.  The Sun sextiling Uranus can bring pleasant surprises, stimulating encounters and socializing is emphasized.  We can also obtain increased self-awareness.  But make no mistake, we are still in the mood for something new and different. It's just that now the potential exists for those changes to be positive.  Hold onto that thought.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed.
