Venus and Jupiter Are on the Move Launching the Month of February

 

I don't know about you, but I am delighted to see the month of January coming to a close.  It is an understatement to say that it has not been an easy or pleasant month.  As an astrologer, I fully realize that 2025 is a year of transition, but most people that I know are still reeling from the effects of January and sorely in need of some kind of break.

So I am thrilled that the shortest month of the year, February, begins on February 1 with a conjunction between Venus and Neptune in 27 degrees of Pisces.  Venus conjunct Neptune can bring new romance, compassion, empathy, creativity and sensitivity.  It can heighten the spiritual bonding in existing relationships. Both planets are very happy in the sign of Pisces.  But we do need to be mindful of the potential pitfalls of this conjunction.  Venus conjunct Neptune can also bring disillusionment if we have been in denial about any existing problems in relationships or a tendency to overidealize a partner.  But it does stimulate our imagination and that can be a good thing.  I say that we make the most of it after an extremely challenging January...

More good vibes are in store for us on February 3 when Mercury in Aquarius is trining Jupiter in 11 degrees of Gemini. This can bring a sense of optimism and good news.  It is also very future-oriented.  It is a highly social vibe and enhances communication because both planets are in air signs, so don't waste the positive energy that this aspect promises.

Venus moves into Aries on February 4 through March 27 but it will be stationing retrograde in 10 degrees of Aries on March 1. It will station direct in 24 degrees of Pisces on April 12 and re-enter Aries on April 30.  Venus remains in Aries until June 6.  Yes, folks, we have another Venus retrograde this year (they occur approximately every 18 months) which will do a number on our relationships and finances. I was born during a Venus retrograde in Scorpio, so I am all too familiar with Venus retrograde.

But what can we expect when Venus is in Aries?  Venus in Aries is more spontaneous and direct as it craves the thrill of the chase.  It has a very live in the moment vibe which is quite different from Venus in Pisces.  Venus in Aries can also affect our finances by increasing our desire for instant gratification, so be careful not to overspend. But if you miss Venus in Pisces, never fear because Venus will return to Pisces on March 27 until April 30.  We will get another shot at Venus in its sign of exaltation, so if you missed out the first time from January 2 to February 4, you get a do-over.

We have another major astrological event on February 4.  Jupiter stations direct in 11 degrees of Gemini at 4:40 a.m.  Jupiter has been retrograde since October 9, 2024 when it slowed down in 21 degrees of Gemini. Jupiter will remain in Gemini until June 9, 2025, when it enters Cancer, its sign of exaltation. When Jupiter moves forward in Gemini, we can be presented with new opportunities and financial rewards.  Our faith is restored and we can start to feel lucky again. This is another cosmic break that we should be grateful for.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed.
