The month of
January 2019 ended on a much calmer note than when it began with an inspiring
Saturn Neptune sextile on January 31st and a Sagittarius moon that
trined both Mars and Uranus in Aries while also conjuncting Venus in
Sagittarius. On that day I tweeted:
But the month of February is starting on a very volatile note with a challenging square from Mars in Aries to Pluto in Capricorn. Both planets are in 21 degrees of their respective signs. Mars rules Aries, so this aspect will be very strong. And both Mars and Pluto are in cardinal signs, so it’s bound to be restless energy that is inclined to stir the pot. Tempers could very well flare as we are feeling those assertion oats. The theme of this aspect pertains to obstacles to the fulfillment of our dreams and these obstacles will tend to manifest in the form of controlling measures exerted by authority figures. Conflicts and power struggles will reach a crisis point. Don’t expect to get through this day without a little frustration. There could also be some exhibitions of aggression and brutality. Mars and Pluto are not exactly lightweights and when they are in a challenging aspect, things can get rough. Of course, with the high octane energy of this aspect, there is also the potential to channel it constructively by tapping into our willpower, focus and drive. These qualities will be heightened with this aspect. As for myself, I will have Mars in my 7th house and Pluto in my 4th house, so I am gearing myself up for an intense day.

But we have
some astrological blessings to be grateful for as well. All of the planets are direct until March 5,
2019 when Mercury stations retrograde, so we do have a green light for
launching new endeavors. And on February
3, 2019 Venus enters Capricorn until March 1, 2019. Venus is leaving the freewheeling sign of
Sagittarius and its transit of Capricorn will provide a more stabilizing
influence for any changes in relationships that were triggered by Venus Uranus
trine on February 2, 2019. This aspect
featured Venus in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries, both in 28 degrees of their
respective signs. Uranus is concluding
its transit in Aries and will re-enter Taurus on March 6, 2019 for seven years.
On February 4,
2019 we have a new moon in 15 degrees of Aquarius. This new moon occurs in the same degree of
the Aquarius lunar eclipse of August 7, 2017, so you might find it helpful to
reflect on what was happening in your life back then. There could be connections to new phases in
your life tracing back to that time period.
New moons are
all about new beginnings and since this one is ruled by Uranus, the energy will
be original, motivated to improve society and very future oriented. We should be feeling more independent and
inventive. Feel free to stretch out of
your comfort zone as you set new intentions.
And don’t be afraid to use this opportunity to seek out new friends or
join some new groups. It’s a great time
to find your tribe with a new moon in Aquarius.
This new moon
in Aquarius could also manifest as social unrest because Mars and Uranus in
Aries will be squaring Pluto in Capricorn.
The silver lining of this new moon in Aquarius is that the sun, moon and
Mercury in Aquarius are forming a supportive sextile to Jupiter in 18 degrees
of Sagittarius. This aspect holds the
potential for luck good news, optimism and a feeling of generosity. In short, it’s a real feel good vibe. It will be conjunct my natal Mars, so I have
no doubt that it will be energizing me.
