So, after the tumultuous times of August, and in spite of retrograde season, I am looking for something to be grateful for these days. On September 8, we have one of those days. The Sun in Virgo is exactly trining Jupiter in 15 degrees of Taurus. This is a delightful aspect that brings optimism, good cheer and a real feel-good, harmonious vibe. It can expand and improve our spiritual perspective as well as boosting our finances. It really can be a blessing for career matters. We literally could be feeling lucky on this day. I realize that Jupiter is retrograde, but I would encourage all of you to take a deep dive into reexamining the wisdom of our decisions. Jupiter loves to expand whatever it touches, but it is also about truth and knowledge. The Sun is currently at the end of my 11th house and Jupiter is in my 8th house for another week, which will definitely give me food for thought in terms of my goals and areas that I would like to transform.
On September 14, we have a New Moon in 21 degrees of Virgo. The major theme of a New Moon is to set new intentions. A New Moon in the sign of Virgo pertains to decluttering, streamlining, clarifying and simplifying. It's also an ideal time to focus on improving our health and job performance or ways of serving others.
Mercury is prominently featured in this New Moon. It is also in Virgo and is stationary because it will go direct in 8 degrees of Virgo on September 15. Whenever a planet is stationing, its power is magnified and intensified. But Mercury in Virgo is also in a wide opposition to Saturn in 2 degrees of Pisces, which could pose some restrictions in the flow of information. If you have any health issues that are troubling you, I urge you to get them checked out now because a New Moon in Virgo can get you on the right path to better health.
Neptune in 26 degrees of Pisces is also opposing the Sun and Moon in Virgo on the New Moon, which will add some fog and illusion to the mix. It also emphasizes health and could pertain to mental health issues. But it also has the potential to enhance our intuition, so pay attention to your gut instincts and dreams on this New Moon.
Uranus in 22 degrees of Taurus is also trining the Sun and Moon in 21 degrees of Virgo, which can bring a new perspective to health matters. Uranus lives for the moment, as it loves to expose truth, be totally individual and sometimes iconoclastic as it seeks to awaken us. We actually have a very wide Grand Earth Trine in place on September 14 involving the Sun and Moon in 21 degrees of Virgo, Uranus in 22 degrees of Taurus and Pluto in 28 degrees of Capricorn. This holds the potential and promise of building new systems that are very future-oriented, so be sure to meditate and do some kind of ritual on the New Moon to set those intentions for a brighter future.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client. I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. I urge everyone to engage in massive amounts of self-care and follow the protective measures of washing your hands frequently, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, wearing a face mask when necessary and staying home if you are sick. And get a vaccine. If you are eligible for a booster shot, get it. I repeat, you do not want to get this virus! I speak from personal experience and consider myself very fortunate to have survived Coronavirus twice. Stay safe and healthy, everyone!
