Mars Stations Direct in Cancer (FINALLY) and a New Moon in Pisces

 

Save the day of February 23.  On that day, Mars will station direct in 17 degrees of Cancer after having been retrograde since December 6, 2024 when it stationed in 6 degrees of Leo.  It seems like it has been longer, right?  I think it is pretty safe to say that people have been feeling quite frustrated in the last couple of months and getting nowhere fast.  It won't happen overnight, but the pressure will start to lessen and we will start to get more clarity as we get our mojo back. I wouldn't recommend taking any major action on that day, because planets are so intense on the day of a station (either direct or retrograde).  Just try to breathe, calm down and realize that the time to act is coming very soon. How will it play out for you: will you win the battle or just decide to walk away?

When Mars stations direct in Cancer, we could be feeling emotionally quite reactive and protective towards those we love. Or we could be feeling very combative too.  Mars stationed retrograde in Leo, where it is more comfortable and expressive, but it opposed Pluto in 1 degree of Aquarius on January 3, 2025 and it will oppose Pluto in 3 degrees of Aquarius again on April 27, 2025. Mars opposing Pluto screams power struggles. But Mars will remain in 17 degrees of Cancer until March 9, 2025 and won't get into Leo again until April 18.  Mars will clear its retrograde shadow in 6 degrees of Leo on May 3, 2025.

On February 27, 2025, we have a New Moon in 9 degrees of Pisces.  We actually have a plethora of planets in Pisces on this day: the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Saturn, Neptune and the North Node to boot.  Pisces is the most sensitive of all the water signs, so we can expect heightened emotions and the potential for feeling overwhelmed.  Under the auspices of a Pisces New Moon, we can feel ultra-sensitive and scattered, as well as vulnerable. Our psychic sensitivity is strong and we should be paying attention to our dreams. We are also leading into eclipse season, which kicks off on March 14 with a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo.

What else is going on astrologically with this New Moon in Pisces?  Neptune in 29 degrees of Pisces is conjunct the North Node in 27 degrees of Pisces, emphasizing our spirituality. Mercury in 23 degrees of Pisces is conjunct Neptune in 29 degrees of Pisces, which amplifies our intuition and strengthens communication.  Mercury in Pisces is also forming a supportive sextile to Uranus in 23 degrees of Taurus, so it is entirely possible to come up with an entirely different perspective or outlook on a situation. Don't be afraid to think outside of the box!  Jupiter in 12 degrees of Gemini is squaring the New Moon in 9 degrees of Pisces, which can feature a great deal of information circulating.  This will be an extremely sensitive and watery New Moon, for sure.  We can feel inspired or confused; you never know which the way those fish will swim.

Mars in Cancer will be trining Saturn in 20 degrees of Pisces on the New Moon too, which can set the stage for building a new future.  New Moons are about setting intentions, don't forget. Mars trining Saturn tends to give strength, ambition and perseverance to tackle difficult and demanding tasks.  Commitment is also quite appealing when Mars is trining Saturn, so it is auspicious for business dealings or making a personal relationship more permanent.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed.
