The month of March this year is not going to come in like a lion and leave like a lamb. Sorry about that folks, but March 2025 will be a fierce month for the whole time, full of dipping back and forth between Pisces and Aries. And we have two eclipses in March. Both Venus and Mercury will spend time in Aries but go retrograde and slip back into Pisces. And on March 30 Neptune will enter Aries only to return to Pisces on October 22.
On March 1 the fun begins when Venus stations retrograde in 10 degrees of Aries. We haven't had a Venus retrograde since July 2023 when it was retrograde in Leo. And the last time Venus was retrograde in Aries was on March 4, 2017. This year it will slip back into Pisces on March 27 and station direct in 24 degrees of Pisces on April 12, 2025. We are in for another 40-day cycle of Venus retrograde. Venus moves back into Aries on April 30 and remains in Aries until June 6, 2025. Just like in 2017, Venus retrograde commenced in Aries, at 13 degrees and stationed direct in 26 degrees of Pisces. I urge everyone to think back to 2017 to reflect on what was happening for you then because similar issues could re-emerge. The United States has the same President that it had in 2017. Relationships and finances are due for an overhaul. I have a natal Venus retrograde in Scorpio, which sometimes make a Venus retrograde transit easier for me to handle. We'll see how this one plays out for me...
What is Venus like when it is retrograde in Aries? We can get angry easily if we don't get what we want, we can be more headstrong and our ego wounds can be triggered. It is definitely feisty energy because Venus is in the Mars-ruled sign of Aries, but it can give us more courage. Venus is not in its happy place in Aries (that is reserved for the signs it rules, Taurus and Libra, as well as Pisces, where it is exalted). But we do get another chance to sample Venus in Pisces from March 27 through April 30, which should be pretty sweet. Just remember that Venus retrograde is not the time to make major changes in your appearance, have cosmetic surgery or get married.
Mercury is pretty busy this month too. On March 2, Mercury is conjunct Neptune in 29 degrees of Pisces. Here we go again with that anaretic degree of 29 in Pisces. Mercury conjunct Neptune can heighten our imagination, intuition and attention to spiritual topics. It's a perfect time for meditation, but the shadow side of Mercury conjunct Neptune is paranoia, confusion and fear. It can manifest either way or a combination of both. I happen to have a natal Mercury Neptune conjunction in my 1st house, so I know first-hand that either scenario is possible.
The Sun in Pisces is also squaring Jupiter in 12 degrees of Gemini on March 2. This aspect can give us lots of exuberance and overconfidence with a tendency to overdo. And there might be a chance of becoming opinionated and judgmental...
Mercury moves into Aries on March 3. It will station retrograde in 9 degrees of Aries on March 15 (the day after the Lunar Eclipse in Virgo), slip back into Pisces on March 29 (the day of the Solar Eclipse in Aries) and station direct in 26 degrees of Pisces on April 7, 2025. Mercury moves back into Aries on April 16 through May 10, 2025. So when I said we had an extended stay of Mercury in Aries, I wasn't kidding.
Mercury in Aries signals a time of assertive and direct communication with quick thinking and the potential for impatience. We can be thinking more impulsively but we will have the courage to and power to persuade others. This will be especially true on March 5 when Mercury in Aries is forming a supportive sextile to Pluto in 3 degrees of Aquarius. The sweet talk of Mercury in Pisces is gone but it is coming back. Mercury and Venus are getting do-overs in Pisces this year due to the retrogrades.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client. I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed.
