Mars Enters Pisces, Eclipse Season Kicks off with a Lunar Eclipse in Libra and Venus Makes Some Moves

 

We have an action packed, highly emotional week coming up.  On March 22, Mars leaves the fixed air sign of Aquarius to swim into the mutable water sign of Pisces until April 30.  Mars in Pisces is motivated by spiritual and emotional drives.  It's a very different vibe from Mars in Aquarius, which is motivated by humanitarian goals and principles.  Mars in Pisces is a time to be a spiritual warrior when compassion rules.  It is still Mars, so there is a dynamic component and it can also inspire bouts of creativity.  Mars is joining Saturn, Neptune and Venus in Pisces.  Venus has been quite busy lately and it shows no sign of stopping.

On March 24, Venus in Pisces is forming a supportive sextile to Jupiter in 15 degrees of Taurus.  This is a real feel-good vibe which holds the promise of good luck, generosity and is quite favorable for love relationships.  After all, Venus and Jupiter are known as benefics, so when the two of them meet up, a good time can be had by all.  We could be receiving gifts or money.  It's also a time to up your self-care game.  The only potential drawback with this aspect is a tendency towards excess, as in too much of a good thing.  

The first eclipse of 2024 is here on March 25 with a penumbral or partial Lunar Eclipse in 5 degrees of Libra.  Lunar Eclipses are like Full Moons on steroids and their effects can be felt about six weeks before and after they occur.  This is a South Node eclipse because the South Node of the Moon is in 15 degrees of Libra and it represents an ending or culmination period. It forces us to ask what we need to leave behind.  Something might have started with the Solar Eclipse in 20 degrees of Libra on October 14, 2023 that is being resolved or released now.

A Lunar Eclipse in Libra has a strong theme of relationship patterns.  We could be ready to release some people-pleasing, codependent and enabling habits that are no longer serving us or those we love.  If you have any planets or points (like an Ascendant, IC, Midheaven or Nodes of the Moon) within 3 degrees of the Lunar Eclipse in 5 degrees in Libra or in the remaining cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer or Capricorn, you will definitely be feeling the effects of this eclipse.  This eclipse is squaring my North Node in Capricorn and my South Node in Cancer, so I sense that I am quite literally at a crossroad between my past and present. This eclipse is also trining Pluto in 1 degree of Aquarius, so there is no escaping a deep dive into relationship dynamics for the purpose of transformation.

Another theme with this eclipse is that of adjustments.  The Moon in Libra will be forming an irritating inconjunct to Saturn in Pisces. Nobody likes inconjuncts, especially when Saturn is involved.  Saturn is associated with restrictions, a certain amount of reserve and withholding, as well as requiring some hard work.  But it can also reward us for a lesson well-learned if we are willing to make the effort.

Venus in Pisces has another game in motion for us on March 28 when it forms a supportive sextile to Uranus in 20 degrees of Taurus.  We could be in the mood for fun and excitement in our social life and in our love relationships.  Freedom and independence become more important to us.  It is an ideal time to make new friends and possibly meet a new lover if we are unattached.  Just don't expect much stability in any relationship that starts under a Venus-Uranus aspect.  But don't be afraid to embrace something different and unusual. Venus sextiling Uranus can also bring unexpected opportunities for money too.  Venus is also associated with money and we could have some delightful surprises in store for us.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed.
