Venus Finishes up in Sagittarius with a Square to Neptune in Pisces, Enters Capricorn and Mercury Squares Saturn in Pisces

 

Confusion, fear, anger, and anxiety are quite prevalent in the United States now as a result of the recent Presidential election.  The planets are echoing these sentiments this week.  On November 9, Venus in Sagittarius will be exactly squaring Neptune in 27 degrees of Pisces.  Venus squaring Neptune is associated with confusion and lack of self-discipline.  It can bring insecurity, poor self-image and relationship difficulties. We are prone to overidealizing a partner, being gullible and can be taken advantage of quite easily.  It goes without saying that with Neptune involved, we need to be especially mindful with alcohol and drugs.

Venus moves into Capricorn on November 11 and stays there until December 7, 2024.  Venus in the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn is more about stability and commitment than adventure and a more free-wheeling approach to love or finances.  Mutual respect in relationships becomes more important.  If we are single, we are seeking partners who are reliable, responsible and ambitious.  We definitely have a more sober approach to love and finances.  Venus in Capricorn is truly a time to get serious about finances.

Venus in Capricorn will be inconjunct Mars in 3 degrees of Leo on November 14, 2024.  This is a very uncomfortable aspect because it's like the two planets involved are in different universes with no common ground.  Adjustments need to be made.  Venus inconjunct Mars can bring frustration and tension.  There very well could be a strong desire for intimacy and connection.  If you find that your sexual energy is blocked on this day, try to find a creative outlet to deal with this aspect on a more constructive level.  That very well could be your best adjustment.  I am just saying that this could be a difficult day for relationships...

Mercury in Sagittarius is slowing down in preparation for its upcoming retrograde that officially starts on November 25 in 22 degrees of Sagittarius.  But Mercury entered its retrograde shadow in 6 degrees of Sagittarius on November 7.  

Mercury in Sagittarius will be squaring Saturn in 12 degrees of Pisces on November 12.  This is my birthday and it is not exactly the aspect that I was hoping for. At least Saturn in Pisces is exactly squaring my natal Saturn in Scorpio, which is something positive.  Hopefully I will get some support for the structures in my life as I begin a new year and decade. Squares are inherently challenging aspects and when Mercury is square Saturn, it can make communication more difficult due to negative thinking and misunderstandings. Just be aware that we might have the tendency to see the worst-case scenario on this day.  Blame it on Saturn...It can create distance in relationships too.  Pay attention to details because we will be needing to do some hard mental work.  The Moon moves into Aries on this day and trines Mercury in Leo during the evening, which should have a restorative effect on opening up communication in relationships.  Perhaps all's well that ends well can be the theme...

And I can't help but agree with astrologer Maria DeSimone's observation that Pluto's last stance in 29 degrees of Capricorn is wreaking havoc with anyone who has planets in the last degrees of the cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.  She literally said that they can be going through hell, and as someone who has a Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Cancer and Neptune in Libra, I concur.  The thing to remember is that even if you have planets not at 29 degrees, but between 25-28 degrees of the cardinal signs, you can still be feeling the effects.  She pointed out that Kamala Harris had her Sun in 27 degrees of Libra and Moon in 27 degrees of Aries, so while it was technically a separating aspect, her loss could be attributed astrologically to Pluto squaring her Sun and Moon while Saturn in Pisces was transiting her 10th house.  Please don't blame any astrologers who predicted Kamala Harris would win the election. It won't do any good.   Pluto will be in Capricorn until November 19, so we have a couple more weeks of this intensity before it enters Aquarius for the next 20 years.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed.
