Venus, Jupiter, Mercury and Mars are on the Move as We Blast into the New Year

 

Prepare to get unstuck as we move towards a new year.  2024 is coming and the planets are moving forward.  We had a Full Moon in Cancer on December 26 and Chiron stationed direct in Aries as well on that day, inspiring me to post:

On December 29, Venus departs Scorpio to frolic in the mutable fire sign of Sagittarius.  It stays in Sagittarius until January 23, 2024.  When Venus is in Sagittarius, it is a much lighter vibe than Venus in the intense fixed water sign of Scorpio; it is up for romantic adventures and taking a chance on love.  It is a party sign, for sure.  Sagittarius is associated with finding the truth and we could find ourselves having some brutally honest conversations or some confessions could emerge as the truth spills out.  Don't expect much commitment in love while Venus is in Sagittarius though, because Sagittarius also loves its freedom and space.

Jupiter stations direct in 5 degrees of Taurus on December 30 after having been retrograde since September 4.  This will bring an enormous sense of relief as we feel freer to dive deeply into different belief systems.  It is time to implement the insight we have obtained since September, when Jupiter stationed retrograde in 15 degrees of Taurus.  It will be easier to achieve financial gain and a sense of security too.  Many people have really felt unable to move forward during Jupiter retrograde and it is really encouraging to end the year with Jupiter direct guiding us forward with an expansive influence to start 2024.  It's like Santa Claus came a little late, but at least he arrived!

On January 1, 2024, Mercury will station direct in 22 degrees of Sagittarius.  It has been retrograde since December 13, 2023 when it stationed in 8 degrees of Capricorn.  Happy New Year!   I am sure that I am not the only one who thinks that this has been one tough Mercury retrograde, especially falling in the holiday season.  Mercury is not all that comfortable in Sagittarius, but its direct motion is bound to be an improvement as we find it easier to process information more easily.  Mercury will return to Capricorn on January 13 and then it will be even better as we are more practical and realistic.  Mercury will finally clear its retrograde shadow on January 20 when it hits 8 degrees of Capricorn.  That is also the day that the Sun and Pluto are conjunct in 29 degrees of Capricorn before they enter Aquarius, so we can literally consider that to be a real kick start to the year 2024.

There is yet another planetary change afoot.  On January 4, 2024, Mars leaves Sagittarius and enters the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn until February 13, 2024.  Mars is a very happy camper in Capricorn.  Cardinal signs love to initiate and Mars in Capricorn is brimming with ambition and likes to act with purpose and hard work to accomplish great feats.  We are motivated by goals and want to achieve great things.  We also have the persistence to go the distance.  If you haven't set any New Year's resolutions yet, this is the perfect day to do so.  The shadow side of Mars in Capricorn is a tendency to be rigid, but otherwise we should feel invigorated.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. I also wanted to note that in an ironic twist of fate, one of the latest variants of COVID is EG.5, with a nickname of Eris.  Sound familiar--the Goddess of Discord?  Apparently, COVID cases and hospitalizations are on the rise...

I urge everyone to engage in massive amounts of self-care and follow the protective measures of washing your hands frequently, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, wearing a face mask when necessary and staying home if you are sick. And get a vaccine. The newest vaccine is available and I encourage you to get it to protect yourself. I repeat, you do not want to get this virus! I speak from personal experience and consider myself very fortunate to have survived Coronavirus twice. Stay safe and healthy, everyone!
