A Much Quieter Week in Store with the Main Attraction Being Mercury Squaring Jupiter

The month of September is finally winding down after two pivotal eclipses, the first one a Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 7 and the most recent one the Solar Eclipse in 29 degrees of Virgo on September 21.  And we had Mars in Scorpio squaring Pluto in Aquarius on September 24.  But this week we are getting a bit of an astrological breather as September concludes before the Full Moon in Aries on October 6.

The Moon enters Sagittarius on September 26 and stays there until September 29. This should lighten the vibe for the weekend, unlike last weekend when we had that Solar Eclipse in Virgo.  I don't know about you, but I am still reeling from it.  My husband has Neptune in 29 degrees of Virgo in his 6th house, so the eclipse was conjunct it and he was rushed to the hospital on that evening.  I knew that there was a strong likelihood of a health crisis for him, but I didn't know how it would manifest.  It turned out to be colitis.  

Okay, the Moon in Sagittarius will oppose Uranus in Gemini during the evening of the 26th,  but it will also form a supportive sextile to Pluto in Aquarius a few minutes later, so let's just hope that whatever emotional changes and disruptions occur, they are going to empower us.  For the rest of September, it is just the Moon in Sagittarius and Capricorn making aspects. There aren't any major planets interacting with Uranus, Pluto or Saturn, which we can be grateful for.

On October 1, Mercury in Libra will be exactly squaring Jupiter in 22 degrees of Cancer.  Even this square isn't that bad because squares to Jupiter tend to be easier to deal with.  I actually have this square natally.  Mercury squaring Jupiter can make us overly optimistic with a broad outlook but not too focused on the details.  We run the risk of becoming overly cocky and arrogant.  And be mindful of the tendency to promise more than you can deliver.  Exaggeration is likely, as is overestimating our abilities.  Our minds could be racing with ideas but it can be challenging to implement them.  Our judgment could be askew too on this day.  Anyone who has planets or points in the cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn around 22 degrees will the impact of this aspect more acutely.  Just remember that a major theme of this aspect is big talking and promising more than we can deliver because Jupiter does love to expand whatever it touches.

Mercury in Libra will be conjunct my Juno and Neptune in my 1st house and Jupiter in Cancer will be conjunct my retrograde Uranus in Cancer in my 10th house.  So I can't exactly hide from this aspect as it is occurring in two angular houses.

I realize that this week's post is very short, but I hope that everyone can enjoy a bit of peace in the coming week.  I was watching a video with astrologer Steve Judd on the Solar Eclipse and he said that this would be the last really difficult time in 2025.  I hope that this is true, as do so many other people, I am sure.

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed.
