Jupiter and Mercury Are Perking Things Up While Venus and Mars Get Frisky

 

We are in a period of astrological limbo this week between eclipses.  The Lunar Eclipse in Pisces occurred on September 7 band now we are waiting for the Solar Eclipse in Virgo on September 21.

There are some delightful sextiles in play this week.  Sextiles occur when two planets are 60 degrees or two signs apart and they create opportunities. But the key thing to remember with opportunities is that you must act on them or you lose out.  On September 12, the Sun in Virgo is exactly Jupiter in 19 degrees of Cancer.  This can bring optimism, good luck and happiness.  It is fortuitous for reaching goals and launching new projects.  When the Sun sextiles Jupiter, it can bring material and spiritual growth.

Mercury in Virgo is also sextiling Jupiter in 19 degrees of Cancer on September 12.  This aspect is favorable for planning our future because we are more able to see the big picture.  We also have great communication skills, find it easier to make friends and can negotiate contracts.  This is a perfect way to start off the weekend.  I am happy about it because my Midheaven is in 19 degrees of Cancer.

On September 13, we get to experience a Mercury Cazimi when Mercury is in the heart of the Sun.  The Sun and Mercury are conjunct in 20 degrees of Virgo.  There is a strong emphasis on quick thinking, mental alertness and some of us might be taking short trips.  We might also see an increase in activities in our neighborhood.  This can be a busy time socially as we meet new people and share ideas.

Venus in Leo is sextiling Mars in 25 degrees of Libra on September 15.  This is another aspect that favors socializing and romance.  Rest assured that you can be confident in pursuing your desires, as you can attract what you want.  We are ready to give and receive love.  Mars in conjunct my Neptune in Libra, so I am eagerly anticipating this aspect.

Mercury moves into Libra on September 18 and stays there until October 6, when we have a Full Moon in Aries.  When Mercury is in Libra, we tend to be more diplomatic and friendly.  We can also have a more rational approach to relationships.  It is easier to see both sides of a situation, but the shadow side of this is that it can lead to vacillation and procrastination.  But the plus side of Mercury in Libra is its focus on fairness and harmony.  Just remember that we ease into the next eclipse on September 21.  More on that in next week's post...

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed.
