A Strong Emphasis on Healing with a Virgo Full Moon

The month of February has been incredibly intense, but it is one of those rare months when there is not a full moon.  But we did have a pretty powerful solar eclipse last week on February 15, 2018 and the month of March will feature two full moons, just like in January.
The next full moon will occur on March 1, 2018 in 11 degrees of Virgo.  It will oppose not only the sun in Pisces, but also Neptune in Pisces. Virgo and Pisces are the signs most connected with healing and the healing theme is especially emphasized with Neptune in its home sign of Pisces.  I am talking about all kinds of healing – not just physical, but emotional and spiritual as well.  And we have Venus in Pisces, where it is exalted and Chiron in Pisces to boot.

This is pretty powerful stuff to say the least.  Chiron the Wounded Healer is in Pisces until April 17, 2018 and it is definitely making its presence known.  Chiron will be in 27 degrees of Pisces on the day of the full moon.  From February 21 through February 25, 2018 we are under the benevolent influence of the Venus Neptune conjunction in 13 degrees of Pisces, which was exact on February 21st.  On that day I tweeted:

I can attest to the fact that I felt this aspect very strongly, because it was squaring my natal moon in Gemini in my 8th house.  Despite the fact that it was forming a challenging square to my moon, I do believe that it has proved to be a very healing influence in my life by allowing me to feel more compassion for others during an emotionally challenging time in my personal life.

There is even more Piscean planetary buildup to this full moon. On February 25, 2018, Mercury and Neptune will be conjunct in Pisces as well.  This is a perfect time to release self-defeating attitudes and feelings of disillusionment.  Both of these planets form a supportive sextile to the asteroid Pallas Athena, the goddess of wisdom, in Taurus. This aspect gives an edge to use our intuitive insights practically.  And with my own natal Mercury Neptune conjunction in my 1st house, I can vouch for the power of those intuitive insights.

With all of this Piscean energy present, we still need to remember what the Virgo moon brings to the table.  Virgo is the sign of discernment and discrimination.  A Virgo full moon is perfect time to declutter not only our possessions, but our mind and emotions.  It is a wonderful opportunity to embark on a detoxing diet and take some mindfulness breaks.  The full moon in Virgo also features prominently in a Grand Trine in Earth with Pallas Athena in 15 degrees of Taurus and Saturn in 7 degrees of Capricorn.  Secrets are frequently unveiled on a full moon and with Neptune so prominently featured in this full moon, it could feel like a literal unveiling of mysteries.

There is also a great deal of mutable planetary energy involved in this full moon.  The moon is in Virgo, the sun and four other planets are in Pisces and Mars is in Sagittarius.  A mutable mix like this affords us the opportunity to be more adaptable to the changes and challenges that many of us are facing these days.  It is also pretty sweet that the sun and Neptune are conjunct in Pisces, bestowing us with divine inspiration.

Venus and Chiron are conjunct in Pisces during this full moon as well.  This means that we have a chance to let go of old wounds connected to love and release old emotions that no longer serve us.  It can also force us to reexamine any rescuer/victim roles that we play in relationships.  The shadow side of Pisces is the victim/martyr complex and the need to play a savior role in relationships.  Venus in 22 degrees of Pisces forms a favorable, flowing trine to Jupiter in 23 degrees of Scorpio which can really assist us in this process. Jupiter in Scorpio is starting to slow down for its annual retrograde period on March 8, 2018, so I urge you to make the most of Jupiter while it is still direct.  When Jupiter is retrograde from March 8th through July 10, 2018 we will be in an introspective period of integration of wisdom.  Jupiter will station direct in 13 degrees of Scorpio in July, so pay close attention to where these ten degrees of Scorpio fall in your chart.

If you are curious as to how all of the planetary changes, including eclipses, Saturn in Capricorn and Jupiter in Scorpio will be affecting you in 2018, please consider getting an astrological reading.  A transit reading might be just what you need right now to make the most of Jupiter in Scorpio.  Jupiter transits are all about taking advantage of opportunities and if you snooze you lose with Jupiter.  You have to be aware and strike while the iron is hot. The Services Offered page of my site describes the menu of services that I offer. There is something for everyone.

My site also offers the opportunity to provide a donation in the amount of your choice to demonstrate your support for my blog and daily astrological insights on Twitter at:

A contribution in any amount is deeply appreciated as gratitude is a daily part of my spiritual practice.

Recently I undertook an intensive life purpose coaching training program and became certified as a Life Purpose Coach.  It was an intense, eye-opening experience that changed my life as it caused me to reflect on the story of my life.  But I left it with feelings of hope and light for the future that I want to share with others.  To that end, I am now offering Life Purpose Coaching to my menu of services.  You can read more about it at:

As an astrologer, I have decided to include an interpretation of the north node by sign. If you are feeling stuck and need some help in getting from Point A to Point B in your quest for making positive changes in your life, please email me at lindasim54@gmail.com to schedule a complementary telephone consultation to discover if you are a good fit for this program.  I look forward to hearing from you.

If you are in the Boston area, please consider getting a Reiki treatment at Acupuncture for Everyone in Copley Square to destress, revitalize and remove blockages to healing.  It’s a perfect way to start your weekend off and can also be described as a spa for the soul to boot!   Reiki is the most profound treatment for stress relief because it concentrates on CALMING your body.

For more information on my Reiki services, please see this page on my site:

For my clients who can’t fit Friday into their schedule for a treatment or have difficulty traveling, I have also recently begun doing distance Reiki sessions for them.  I have a conversation with them about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages.  I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. If this appeals to you, please feel free to contact me by email at lindasim54@gmail.com or call me at 617-304-2205.  I am also offering Reiki treatments in the Coolidge Corner section of Brookline on Sunday afternoons.

But the big news is that I have created and launched a new website devoted exclusively to my Reiki practice. Please feel free to check it out at:

I was also featured in the July 3rd edition of Boston Voyager, an online publication that runs a section called Inspiring Stories about local entrepreneurs on its home page.  The Scorpio moon was trining the Cancer sun and Neptune in Pisces on that day, so my story certainly debuted under fitting aspects.  Please feel free to check it out:

In the spirit of the New Year, I have revised my package deals and I am now offering two options for package deals: Silver and a Tarot special for my tarot clients. Please check it out at:
