Many of us are still recuperating from the effects of the
powerful Super Full Moon in Libra on March 20, 2019, when I tweeted:
This full moon in Libra had a huge focus on healing relationships and that trend is continuing. On March 22, 2019 the sun and Chiron will be conjunct in 1 degree of Aries. The sun represents our ego and Chiron is all about our vulnerabilities and wounds. When these two planets collide, we will be presented with an opportunity to uncover fears and wounds regarding our ego and life path. Insecurities, fears, perceived failures and unresolved issues pertaining to our life purpose are revealed while our creativity, self-expression and independence will come under scrutiny. But the fact that this conjunction occurs in the warrior sign of Aries gives us the courage to do that healing work. The moon enters Scorpio at 10:16 p.m. on March 22nd, and we all know that a Scorpio moon is not exactly lightweight energy. Venus is entering the sign of its exaltation, Pisces on
March 26, 2019 where it will reside until April 20, 2019. Venus in Pisces has strong themes of
forgiveness, compassion, empathy, and understanding. We literally can feel others’ pain while
Venus is transiting the sign of Pisces.
It can be a time of tenderness, affection, romance and heightened
creativity. But there is a shadow side
of Venus in Pisces that we need to be mindful of. Venus in Pisces is prone to longing for
something that is hard to define and boundaries may get blurred. This is a big deal because Pisces is ruled by
Neptune, which has a somewhat foggy, elusive, hard to pin down quality. Some other potential shadow manifestations of
Venus in Pisces include escapism, deception, wallowing in sadness and a
tendency to act out the victim/martyr complex.
Just try to be aware of these pitfalls and the Venus in Pisces transit
can be a delightfully creative, spiritual, healing and loving time. If you are curious as to how the higher side
of Venus in Pisces manifests, look no further than Supreme Court Justice Ruth
Bader Ginsburg who has Venus in 15 degrees of Pisces in addition to her sun and
midheaven in Pisces. That is quite a
placement for a judge who can see and understand in a fair manner. And she also exemplified the exaltation of
Venus in Pisces with her marriage to Martin Ginsburg, a true partnership that
lasted 56 years until his death in 2010.
We also something to celebrate at the end of March
2019. On March 28, 2019 Mercury stations
direct in 16 degrees of Pisces after a somewhat grueling Mercury retrograde
that has prevailed since March 5, 2019.
Mercury is not comfortable in the sign of Pisces to begin with because
Mercury is all about being in your head while Pisces likes to reach out to
others. Mercury retrograde in Pisces
forced us many of us to reflect on issues of spirituality, selflessness,
creativity, romance, escapism, delusion and denial. On March 24, 2019 Mercury retrograde will be
conjunct its ruling planet Neptune in 16 degrees of Pisces, which can play out
in communications becoming more spiritual and compassionate or downright
deceitful.
Mercury doesn’t clear its retrograde shadow until April 16,
2019 which means that we may still have some confusion in our lives but there
is also a sense of rejuvenation and a breath of fresh air in communications
when it stations direct on March 28th. We can literally like we are moving forward
and when Mercury enters Aries on April 17, 2019, whatever fog and illusions
that existed during the extended transit of Mercury in Pisces will be totally
dissolved and communications will be direct, bold and assertive.
