Mars in Aries Gets Very Busy as It Aspects Neptune and Pluto While Mercury Joins the Aries Party

 

The pile up of planets in Aries is in full force this month.  On April 13, Mars and Neptune will be conjunct in 2 degrees of Aries.  This can play out in a number of ways: it can make us feel more romantic, idealistic, inspired to take action on a dream, or it can make it more difficult to get a firm grasp of reality so that you just want to escape.  It can also make us more sensitive and prone to infections. Be careful when partying because it's extremely easy to overdo.  Listen to your body.  This aspect falls in my 6th house, so I will be alert to what my body is telling me.  It can also be an excellent time to engage in meditation, yoga, Reiki or energy work.  Try to schedule some kind of self-care activity.

Venus in Taurus is forming a supportive sextile to Jupiter in 16 degrees of Cancer on the same day, which is a real feel-good transit.  Socializing and love are favored.  These are the two benefic planets, after all, so when they get together, it's bound to be a good time.  If you are single, you could meet someone now.  Just be mindful not to overindulge with sweets or addictive substances.

Communication become much more direct on April 14 when Mercury enters Aries.  Mercury has been in Pisces since February 6 due to the recent Mercury retrograde.  Mercury will speed through Aries only staying in the cardinal fire sign until May 2.  Our thinking and communication is more independent, straightforward, impulsive, assertive and possibly blunt.

We want to make decisions quickly.  The fog that enveloped our minds when Mercury was in Pisces is long gone.  We are voicing our opinions with bold courage now.

Mercury will be conjunct Neptune in 2 degrees of Aries on April 16, which can blend assertive thought with intuition.  We can have some spiritual and creative breakthroughs on this day.  Just be mindful that the shadow side of this aspect is a tendency towards confusion, deception and paranoia.  I have this aspect natally and I can attest to the fact that it is a mixed bag. I love that it heightens my intuition but it can cause confusion at times and create a tendency to overidealize others, especially with it falling in my 1st house.

Mars in Aries is forming a supportive sextile to Pluto in 5 degrees of Aquarius on the same day.  This will manifest as high energy, willpower and courage.  It's very goal-directed energy with lots of intensity.  It's a perfect day to tackle major projects that could have seemed daunting in the past.

I just want to make one point very clear: all of the planets are direct until May 6 when Pluto stations retrograde at 5 degrees of Aquarius, so we really should feel free to act.  And I really don't think it is a coincidence that Mars moved into Aries on April 9, the same day that Mercury cleared its retrograde shadow in 22 degrees of Pisces.  The fog has lifted and the force is with us.  We also have a New Moon in Aries on April 17, which should be very interesting.  More on that in next week's post...

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed.
