Venus Gets into It with Pluto, the Sun in Aries Tangos with Jupiter in Cancer and Mars Enters Aries

 

Are you feeling the intensity of April yet?  The month began with a Full Moon in 12 degrees of Libra that also opposed Saturn and Neptune in Aries while trining Pluto in Aquarius. And it was April Fools Day and the first day of Passover.  You must have been living under a rock for this one not to have affected your relationships.

On April 3 Venus in Taurus is squaring Pluto in 5 degrees of Aquarius.  This aspect is near and dear to my heart because I have it natally with my retrograde Venus in Scorpio squaring Pluto in Leo.  So what can we expect?  Power and control issues can surface in relationships, as can manipulative behavior, jealousy, possessiveness and obsession.  Grudges regarding past actions can also emerge.  It's definitely a high-octane vibe with the potential for major transformation.  Finances can also be in for some dramatic shifts because Venus also pertains to money.

Conflicts and struggles are part of the deal with square aspects so that we can grow.  No one ever said that this type of deep soul growth would be pretty or easy.  This is transformation through trauma.  Friendships as well as love relationships could break up now.  Try to avoid controlling others through ultimatums and focus on letting go of negative patterns with unhealthy attachments.  I know, this is easier said than done.  And if you have planets in the early degrees (0-5) of the fixed signs of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio, I guarantee you will be heavily impacted by this transit that occurs on Good Friday. This is quite the oxymoronic transit to occur on Good Friday.

The Sun in Aries is squaring Jupiter in 16 degrees of Cancer on Easter Sunday, April 5.  This is also a high energy transit and can be quite volatile. We can  be presented with opportunities for growth because Jupiter does love to expand whatever it touches, but with the two planets squaring each other, it can manifest as over-confidence, over-optimism, arrogance and a general sense of too much of a good thing.  We could be prone to taking risks, spending too much money or overindulging.  Hopefully the worst-case scenario will just be eating or drinking too much at a holiday gathering.

On April 9 Mars enters its home sign of Aries until May 18.  Mars is joining the Sun, Neptune, Saturn, and Chiron in Aries.  If you have felt confused or stuck despite Mercury being direct (but still in Pisces) this is about to change fast.  Mars in Aries is operating at full speed and we should feel driven to initiate, act impulsively and take on leadership roles. This is cardinal fire energy, folks.  It's also a great time to focus on physical fitness because there will be an abundance of personal energy and courage at our disposal.  Just be mindful of the shadow side of Mars in Aries: impatience, self-centeredness and the potential for ego clashes.  The wild ride that is a prevailing theme of April is in full force...

The coronavirus outbreak caused me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people were concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions until further notice, so all of my Reiki sessions will be distant Reiki sessions for the foreseeable future. But a distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages. I do miss seeing my clients, so I am now offering Zoom consultations/intakes before the session so that we can see each other. I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed.
