Pluto Stations Retrograde, the Sun and Uranus Conjunct in Taurus and Mercury Enters Taurus

Pluto, the planet of elimination and transformation, is about to station retrograde in 25 degrees of Capricorn on April 25, 2020 until October 4, 2020 when it stations direct in 22 degrees of Capricorn.  We all know that a planet’s strength and power is heightened when it is stationary and Pluto is no exception, especially this year.

Pluto is heavily influenced by the Jupiter Pluto conjunction in Capricorn that is exact three times in 2020.  The first one occurred on April 4, 2020 in 24 degrees of Capricorn, the next one occurs on June 30, 2020 in 24 degrees of Capricorn when both planets are retrograde, and the final one occurs on November 12, 2020 in 22 degrees of Capricorn, which is the exact degree of the Saturn Pluto conjunction.  I would not be surprised if there were another wave of the coronavirus in November as there seem to be predictions that it will resurface when flu season begins.

Pluto retrograde has a way of dredging up fears of death and the Coronavirus is the agent that is certainly triggering those fears on a global scale.  And with the Jupiter Pluto conjunction in Capricorn, Pluto retrograde will manifest as a test of faith as we continue to endure government enforcing laws that infringe upon personal freedoms that many of us took for granted.  This is also accompanied by a great deal of suffering and loss on many levels.  We will need to have faith and be as kind and compassionate as possible to others during this Pluto retrograde and this pandemic.

My husband tested positive for COVID-19 on April 17, 2020 and I am presumed positive as well.  I can tell you from personal experience that you do not want this virus, and I am considered to have a milder case.  Pluto is conjunct my natal Chiron in Capricorn in my 4th house and when the Saturn Pluto conjunction in January hit my Chiron, I knew it would affect my home life and pose some sort of healing crisis.  I am trying to fight this insidious and invisible enemy with every intention of beating it.  But my husband has underlying conditions of Parkinson’s disease, heart disease and asthma, which make it more challenging for him.  When I wrote about the need to have faith and be compassionate, I am living proof.  I am tapping into all of my reserves of faith and I consider myself to be extremely grateful for the compassion that my friends and neighbors have demonstrated to me in the past week in terms of delivering groceries, supplies and home cooked meals on our doorstep.  Although I can tell you this virus zaps your sense of taste and appetite.

The sun entered Taurus on April 19, 2020 and on April 21, 2020 it squared Saturn in 1 degree of Aquarius, inspiring me to tweet:
The sun in Taurus will be making another challenging aspect on April 26, 2020 when it conjuncts Uranus in 6 degrees of Taurus.  As I have mentioned before, Uranus is very uncomfortable to begin with in the sign of Taurus.  Taurus is a fixed sign that craves stability and predictability, while Uranus loves to usher in a revolution. This aspect can bring even more unexpected changes and disruptions, and cravings for excitement and freedom.  Most of us are experiencing cabin fever after all of this confinement and some people could be feeling extremely rebellious.  One manifestation of the sun conjunct Uranus is a desire to push out of one’s comfort zone, but these are not ordinary times and pushing for a return to normalcy too soon could result in spreading this pandemic even more.

On April 27, 2020, Mercury enters Taurus until May 11, 2020.  Mercury in Taurus brings a more practical, solid, down to earth and grounded vibe to communications and thinking.  It can be a time of focus and solidifying plans as stability and common sense rule.  I doubt if we will start reopening the country during this brief transit, but it is possible to come up with some strategies for moving forward when it is deemed to be safe.  The shadow side of Mercury in Taurus we can become too rigid in our thinking, but if we are mindful of this, we should be fine.

If you are curious as to how all of these planetary changes will be affecting you, please consider getting an astrological reading.  I have recently revised my menu of services and am now offering a Saturn Pluto Conjunction reading for $25 which will offer you some insight and guidance into how this major astrological event that occurred on January 12, 2020 in 22 degrees of Capricorn will impact you.  It’s not too late to purchase this reading because its effects will be felt for most of 2020. It can be purchased through my site at:

The coronavirus outbreak is causing me to increase the number of distant Reiki sessions I do because people are concerned about the spread of the infection. I have decided to suspend my in-person Reiki sessions in order to practice social distancing.  A distant Reiki session is the perfect opportunity to safely build up your immune system and if you have contracted coronavirus, you can be treated safely from the comfort of your home. My procedure is to have a conversation with a client about what they hope to achieve from a session, we set up a time for the session to take place when they will be in a state to receive healing energy and I follow up with a telephone conversation to discuss their experience and my perception of their blockages.  I have also incorporated a new technique with my distance Reiki treatments since I don’t always have a photo of my client.  I use a teddy bear so that I can scan and focus the healing energy where it is needed. If this appeals to you, please feel free to contact me by email at lindasim54@gmail.com or call me at 617-304-2205. The cost for distance Reiki sessions is $30.  For your convenience, I accept PayPal and Venmo as forms of payment.  I have also written an article about distance Reiki, which is available at:

I was also featured in the July 3, 2017 edition of Boston Voyager, an online publication that runs a section called Inspiring Stories about local entrepreneurs on its home page.  The Scorpio moon was trining the Cancer sun and Neptune in Pisces on that day, so my story certainly debuted under fitting aspects.  Please feel free to check it out:

The Sun Enters Taurus and a Wild Card New Moon in Taurus

The Aries energy has been very strong this week as we continue to battle the Coronavirus.  On April 15, 2020, Mercury and Chiron were conjunct in 6 degrees of Aries, inspiring me to tweet:
But the energy is about to shift on April 19, 2020 when the sun moves into the fixed earth sign of Taurus.  Taurus is a sign that craves stability, luxury and is receptive to pleasure.  It’s ruled by Venus, after all.  And we all know that Aries is ruled by Mars, so there are bound to be some kind of changes happening.  You don’t go from Mars to Venus vibes without a major energy shift. Taurus also likes to be very productive and we could definitely use a productive shift in our battle against this insidious disease that has stopped the world in its tracks.  But the shadow side of Taurus is that it can be stubborn and possessive because it is a fixed sign.

On April 22, 2020 we have a new moon in 3 degrees of Taurus.  Ironically, this is also Earth Day and it marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.  It’s a perfect time to set a new intention for the earth, as new moons pertain to setting new intentions. I am referring to this new moon in Taurus as a wild card new moon because of its loaded aspects to Uranus and Saturn.  For starters, it conjuncts Uranus in 6 degrees of Taurus and it squares Saturn in 1 degree of Aquarius.  The new moon conjunct Uranus in Taurus could trigger some financial upsets, which is perfectly understandable given the current state of the economy and the world.  Uranus is extremely uncomfortable in the sign of Taurus because Taurus wants stability and Uranus wants revolutionary change.  With Uranus conjunct the new moon, we could also see some unsettling weather patterns as well.

The new moon in Taurus squaring Saturn in Aquarius is especially troubling because it underscores the theme of the Saturn Uranus square which will prevail throughout 2021 and be exact in February 2021.  Saturn and Uranus in a square aspect do not play well in the sandbox.  The current lockdown is a manifestation of this aspect.  While Uranus is in favor of rebelling against the status quo, Saturn wants to preserve it and go back to the way things were.  It is becoming increasingly clear that our lives are not returning to that status quo any time soon.

The new moon in Taurus also squaring Saturn in Aquarius (the sign ruled by Uranus, I might add) also has a tendency to trigger fears, delays, tests and challenges.  The best way to deal with this new moon is to try to release our fears, which are very real and palpable at this time.  We need to remember that fear attracts fear, so let’s try to set a new intention of releasing them.  Perhaps we need to sit with our deepest fears because they represent a form of shadow work.  It might be helpful to write them down and release them so they don’t have such a hold on us.  I always love to meditate on a new moon to set new intentions, but this new moon is especially important to me.

It’s also important to remember that this new moon is ruled by Venus and we should try to set some new intentions to act in a more loving way towards others.  A new moon in Taurus is also an optimal time to spend some in nature if possible.  And if you can’t get outside, at least get outside in your meditations.

Mercury Enters Aries and the Aries Sun Squares Pluto and Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn

It has been an extremely difficult and challenging week with the Coronavirus.  The fact that we had a full moon in Libra on April 7, 2020 only intensified the emotional angst as the death toll rose.  On that day I tweeted:
The Aries energy is still strong and about to get even stronger when Mercury enters the cardinal fire sign of Aries on April 11, 2020 where it stays until April 27, 2020.  Mercury finally cleared its retrograde shadow on March 29th in 12 degrees of Pisces.  Mercury in Aries will be a whole new ballgame when it comes to communications.  Mercury in Aries tends to benefit from quick thinking; it doesn’t dawdle over decision making.  Communication is more direct and spontaneous.  Long-range thinking is easier than when Mercury was in Pisces; we want to take actions on new ideas and implement them.  We should be feeling more courageous and innovative while we are open to bursts of inspiration.  Mercury in Pisces may have led us to be more compassionate towards others, but its shadow side involved aligning with a victim mentality.  Mercury in Aries will fight to overcome this invisible foe called Coronavirus.

Mercury in Aries can actually be a potent ally for us in the battle against Coronavirus if we don’t get tripped up by the shadow side of Mercury in Aries: its tendency towards impatience.  But many of us are probably feeling even more impatience in these days of staying at home and tempers could be flaring.  Lockdowns are by no means fun and they serve to remind us of how many of our freedoms have been restricted and that prolonged periods of confinement take their toll on our mental health.  I can’t help thinking that Saturn’s entrance into Aquarius, however briefly this year (only until July 1st when it re-enters Capricorn and then it returns to Aquarius on December 17, 2020) is partially responsible for the restrictions on social interactions.  Who ever thought we would need to stand in line to be allowed to shop in a supermarket?  But now that supermarket workers, in addition to healthcare workers, are dying from Coronavirus, stricter measures are being enforced.  They are truly our heroes these days and they deserve respect and protection.  I live in Massachusetts, and we are projected to experience the peak of this pandemic from April 10th through April 20th, so I have no doubt that the restrictions will be more stringent in the days to come.

On April 14, 2020, the sun in Aries will form an exact square to Pluto in Capricorn in 24 degrees of their respective signs.  This aspect is hitting me very personally.  Pluto is conjunct my natal Chiron in Capricorn in my 4th house and I have a natal Sun Pluto square with my Scorpio sun and Pluto in Leo.  This could definitely be a day involving power struggles.  We may be feeling a need to be in control and ego conflicts with authority figures could ensue.  There is a strong likelihood of experiencing a crisis that leads to extreme or destructive behavior.  This aspect can trigger deep psychological issues involving fears, death or losing control. But the silver lining of this aspect is that it is very transformative and can lead to rebirth and a greater sense of inner power.  Let’s hope that we all get to experience that transformation without too much pain.

On April 15, 2020 the sun in 25 degrees of Aries forms an exact square to Jupiter in 25 degrees of Capricorn.  This aspect won’t be as challenging as the sun’s square to Pluto, but it can be perceived as a two edged sword because it can make us feel overly confident, proud, lucky and optimistic.  So this aspect can manifest as success and good luck or loss and humiliation.  Jupiter loves to expand whatever it touches, and there is an inherent danger with this aspect of becoming too complacent about the dangers that the Coronavirus represents.  No one is immune from this disease.  The best way to navigate this day is to show some respect, moderation and discipline, which is not an easy feat during these challenging time.  Sun square Jupiter has a way of making us bite off more than we can chew and we need to be mindful of this and also be very careful with finances.

Venus Enters Gemini, Jupiter and Pluto Conjunction in Capricorn and a Full Moon in Libra

We have a rather busy week ahead of us astrologically.  On April 3, 2020, Venus enters the mutable air sign of Gemini until August 7, 2020 due to the upcoming Venus retrograde.  Venus stations retrograde in 21 degrees of Gemini on May 13, 2020 and stations direct in 5 degrees of Gemini on June 24, 2020.  On April 4, 2020, Jupiter and Pluto are conjunct in 24 degrees of Capricorn for the first of three Jupiter Pluto conjunctions of 2020.  The next two occur on June 29, 2020 and November 12, 2020.  And we have the biggest super full moon of the year in 18 degrees of Libra on April 7, 2020.

Venus in Gemini is usually considered to be a very social and communicative transit in which bonding occurs on a more mental level.  Intelligence is more appealing than physical attributes when Venus is transiting the air sign of Gemini.  Humor is also very important when Venus is in Gemini.  We need this quality during the Coronavirus pandemic, as it is forcing us to be social in less physical ways and we are forced to be more introspective about our relationships and finances.  The shadow side of Venus in Gemini is that it tends to be more fickle and finds it difficult to commit.  The fact that Venus will be retrograde in Gemini (the torn between two lovers archetype) from May through the end of June 2020 reinforces the theme of not making any major commitments such as marriage during this period.  Sorry to burst the bubble for anyone considering a June wedding.  Relationships and finances (Venus also rules money) are apt to be quite volatile during this transit.  Venus will be conjuncting my natal moon in Gemini in my 8th house on April 22, 2020 and on July 19, 2020, so I am definitely in the crossfire of this Venus in Gemini transit.

On April 4, 2020, Jupiter and Pluto are conjunct in 24 degrees of Capricorn.  Jupiter is not very comfortable in the sign of Capricorn and when it is conjunct Pluto it will magnify Pluto’s penchant for digging deep into our psyches to unearth fears that have disempowered us in order to transform ourselves.  I think it’s pretty safe to say that we are all feeling pretty fearful these days with the Coronavirus because it has totally dismantled the structures of our lives.  Fear is raging yet we need to tap into our reserves of strength and courage to deal with situations that are totally out of our control.  I think that it goes without saying that we now realize that the Saturn Pluto conjunction in 22 degrees of Capricorn on January 12, 2020 has disrupted the old order   of things with the Coronavirus.  The Coronavirus was beginning its spread in China back then. Jupiter conjunct Pluto in Capricorn has a strong theme of large scale happenings as we face the collapse of the old order and we approach the peak of the pandemic in mid to late April 2020.

It won’t be easy, but we need to remember that Pluto is deepening Jupiter’s capacity to develop more faith, hope and optimism during these challenging times. I am clinging to the hope that as Jupiter and Pluto separate in July 2020, due to Pluto stationing retrograde on April 25, 2020 in 26 degrees of Capricorn and Jupiter stationing retrograde on May 14, 2020 in 27 degrees of Capricorn, we can see a return to normalcy.

The Jupiter Pluto conjunction is exactly conjunct my natal Chiron in Capricorn in my 4th house, and already I am feeling truly vulnerable. I am questioning if this is yet an opportunity to heal old wounds. Anyone who knows me well (and that is no easy feat with me being an intensely private Scorpio) knows that I don’t do vulnerable well.  I am inherently tough and defensive, but this pandemic has brought me to tears on more occasions than I care to admit and I confess to being scared.  I was watching 60 Minutes last week and totally resonated with what Brené Brown said about her difficulty with feeling vulnerable and the fact that we all have to admit that we are afraid in order to find courage and compassion for others.  I am also very mindful of the fact that the third Jupiter Pluto conjunction on November 12, 2020 occurs on my birthday in 22 degrees of Capricorn, which is the same degree of the Saturn Pluto conjunction in January.

On April 7, 2020 we have the biggest super full moon of the year in 18 degrees of Libra.  It’s called a super moon because the moon is extremely close to the earth.  I know that in my home state of Massachusetts, we have been told that the Coronavirus should reach its peak from April 7th through April 17th. I can’t sugarcoat the potential ramifications of this full moon; it will be a deeply emotional time. It will be extremely challenging because it is squaring that Jupiter Pluto conjunction in Capricorn and Mars in Aquarius will be squaring Uranus in Taurus, which is an aspect that screams the urge to break free from restriction and rebel against authority.  That is not exactly conducive energy these days when we are being asked to restrict our physical movements as a matter of life and death.  The fact that this full moon occurs in the relationship oriented sign of Libra further emphasizes the value we place on relationships, especially the relationship we have with ourselves. Libra is also associated with fairness, justice and balance.  This is a time when governments need to work to benefit the people, not just corporations.

Personally, I have always found the annual full moon in Libra to be one of the more challenging full moons but this year that is especially true due to the Coronavirus and the fact that the full moon in 18 degrees of Libra conjuncts my ascendant in 16 degrees of Libra and squares my midheaven in 19 degrees of Cancer.  I am trying to have some gratitude for the fact that this full moon trines my Mars in Aquarius and my Gemini moon.  Maybe that grand air trine will work for me if I exert some effort…

Recently I undertook an intensive life purpose coaching training program and became certified as a Life Purpose Coach.  It was an intense, eye-opening experience that changed my life as it caused me to reflect on the story of my life.  But I left it with feelings of hope and light for the future that I want to share with others.  To that end, I am now offering Life Purpose Coaching to my menu of services.  You can read more about it at:

Venus Trines Jupiter and Mars Enters Aquarius

The Coronavirus continues to influence every area of our life and as an astrologer I am always looking to the planets for insight and hope.  On March 27, 2020, Venus in Taurus trines Jupiter in Capricorn in 23 degrees of their respective signs.  This is an especially delightful aspect because it tends to attract optimism, good cheer, luck, and has a tendency to bring love and harmony to relationships.

I have high hopes for this aspect because the moon in Taurus is sextiling both Mercury and Neptune in Pisces on the 27th, which holds the potential for some good news to be announced.  I have this aspect natally with my natal Venus in Scorpio trining my Jupiter in Cancer.  I can tell you from personal experience that it confers the qualities of creativity, honesty, loyalty and a strong moral compass.  It also makes you very fond of the good life to the point that it gives a keen appreciation of the finer things in life like the arts, music, and socializing.  And I find it supremely ironic that we are feeling extremely blocked right now in terms of being able to enjoy these things due to the Coronavirus.  One of the perks of this aspect is that it tends to mitigate any hardships that we encounter in life and we really need that right now.  The Venus Jupiter trine activates my natal Chiron in 24 degrees of Capricorn in my 4th house and my natal Venus in 24 degrees of Scorpio in my 2nd house with a sextile from Jupiter in Capricorn and an opposition from Venus in Taurus.  Like everyone else these days, I am feeling the effects of staying home and am learning new ways to reach out to others.  I have been on Zoom twice in the past week and know that it will become a new routine in my life to connect with others.

Mars, the planet of action and desire, is moving into the fixed air sign of Aquarius on March 30, 2020 until May 13, 2020.  This could indicate a break for all of us after the heavy belt of Capricorn energy that has characterized 2020 so far.  Mars in Aquarius has dynamic yet erratic energy levels.  Don’t forget that Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, so we could be in for more disruptions.  Mars in Aquarius expresses anger in a more impersonal manner.  I know this first hand because I have a natal Mars in Aquarius in my 4th house.  But the silver lining with Mars in Aquarius is that it has a real team player vibe and we can approach problems from an intellectual and detached perspective.  The transit of Mars in Aquarius represents an opportunity to fight for collective endeavors and it may serve us well in the battle against the Coronavirus.  Mars in Aquarius is very future oriented and that makes it easier to fight for change and implement fresh new ideas.  Mars in Aquarius has a tendency to fight for the underdog, be more idealistic and will undoubtedly cause us to be even more reliant on the Internet and social media.  It is characterized by the qualities of being more humanitarian, radical, unique and revolutionary.  This transit of Mars in Aquarius may be our ticket to conquering the Coronavirus, so I say bring it on.

But on March 31, 2020, we do hit an astrological speed bump with Mars in Aquarius when it conjuncts Saturn in 0 degrees of Aquarius.  Mars Saturn aspects are very challenging, as I can attest to courtesy of my own natal Mars Saturn square.  A Mars Saturn conjunction can play out as providing the stamina and patience to complete difficult tasks because this one occurs in a fixed sign, and this could be a positive manifestation.  But the shadow side of this aspect is that it can ignite our darkest desires.  Mars conjunct Saturn can trigger feelings of anger, resentment or a desire for revenge.  A major theme of this aspect is to make us more cautious and conservative because it is accompanied by fear and tension. Quite literally, Mars conjunct Saturn can feel like driving a car with the brakes on. It has a tendency to put a hold on forward progress by blocking and obstructing it.  But fortunately, the effects of this challenging aspect will dissipate by the end of the week.  I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear more news about the Coronavirus peaking during the coming week.

It can be purchased through my site at:

https://phoenixscorpio.blogspot.com/p/services-offered.html
I have also added a new reading to my menu of services, a Clues to Compatibility reading, which is designed primarily for non-romantic relationships and utilizes synastry to determine your connections with friends, family members and business associates. Additionally, I have also decided to offer private astrology lessons in person or by telephone.  Please feel free to contact me at lindasim54@gmail.com if you are interested in learning more about astrology.

I have been doing more work with tarot readings, which I love, so I decided to create a new combination reading which offers the option of a 30 minute astrology consultation with a one question tarot reading for only $50. There is something for everyone and my menu of services can accommodate any budget.

My site also offers the opportunity to provide a donation in the amount of your choice to demonstrate your support for my blog and daily astrological insights on Twitter at:

A contribution in any amount is deeply appreciated as gratitude is a daily part of my spiritual practice.

As an astrologer, I have decided to include an interpretation of the north node by sign. If you are feeling stuck and need some help in getting from Point A to Point B in your quest for making positive changes in your life, please email me at lindasim54@gmail.com to schedule a complementary telephone consultation to discover if you are a good fit for this program.  I look forward to hearing from you.
I am also available for tarot readings by telephone.  I use the Celestial Tarot Deck, which I love because it contains so many astrological symbols.  A tarot reading is another great option for obtaining insight and clarity.

Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter for my daily astrological insights.

I urge everyone to engage in massive amounts of self-care and follow the protective measures of washing your hands frequently, maintaining social distancing, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth and stay home if you are sick.  I have found myself exercising at home and going out for more walks when the weather is nice. Stay safe and healthy, everyone!

Saturn Enters Aquarius and a New Moon in Aries

There is literally no escaping the impact of the Coronavirus these days.  Many of us feel like we are living in Armageddon with no end in sight.  And it is very difficult to distinguish fact from reality with all of the mixed messages that are coming our way.  On March 15, 2020, I tweeted:
We are still under the influence of some pretty heavy Capricorn energy.  On March 20, 2020, Mars and Jupiter will be conjunct in 22 degrees of Capricorn. How will this aspect will play out?  We could experience more confidence, enthusiasm and courage in a new course of action to combat this global pandemic.  On the plus side, Capricorn is a sign that is renowned for its perseverance and endurance.  So we will keep on with our social distancing, hand washing and staying home as much as possible.  But as an astrologer, I can’t dismiss the fact that this conjunction occurs in the same degree of January’s Saturn Pluto conjunction and that many issues from back then will resurface. None of us knew how the Saturn Pluto conjunction in Capricorn would manifest on a global level, but we now know that the Coronavirus was wreaking havoc in China then.

On March 21, 2020, Saturn enters the sign of Aquarius for the first time since the early 1990’s.  It was last in the air sign of Aquarius from February 6, 1991 through January 28, 1994.  Anyone born during this period will be undergoing their first Saturn Return. But Saturn will only remain in Aquarius until July 1, 2020 due to its retrograde period from May 10, 2020 through September 28, 2020. Saturn will leave Capricorn for good on December 16, 2020 and stay in Aquarius for 2 ½ years.  Saturn in Aquarius is an air sign ruled by Uranus, so we are bound to see and hear more about the Coronavirus.  Many of us in the United States were horrified when we heard President Trump say that this health crisis could last until July or August of this year.  I can’t help but think that Saturn is somehow involved in this.

Saturn in late Capricorn and even when it is in the first two degrees of Aquarius will be squaring the nodes of the moon in three degrees of Cancer for the north node (our collective journey) and three degrees of Capricorn for the south node.  This can contribute to a feeling of being attacked and living in a siege mentality.  We are literally living in a state of war that represents the biggest threat to civilian life since World War II.  If you ever wondered what it was like to live back in those times, this is probably pretty close.  We may not have rationing quite yet, but in the past week, we have seen libraries, stores, health clubs, restaurants, beauty salons and a host of small businesses close down.  Even supermarkets are open for shorter hours.  Basically we are only able to go out to supermarkets and pharmacies to get our essentials.  The economy is taking quite a hit as a result of this pandemic.  Saturn is also squaring Uranus in early Taurus and this aspect frequently manifests as stock market volatility.  It will continue through July 2020 and again in early 2021.
But we have to mindful of the fact that Saturn in Aquarius is a future oriented sign, a very different animal from Saturn in Capricorn, which is all about preserving the status quo. Saturn in Aquarius is more geared towards social equality, humanitarianism, idealism and individual freedoms, so there may very well be a silver lining to this huge cloud hanging over our heads.  A couple of days I was coming home from a walk and I heard the song “What the World Needs Now is Love” blaring from a neighbor’s home.  The song was originally recorded in 1965 by Jackie DeShannon, but I could have sworn it was Dionne Warwick singing it and she did record it in 1966. The 1960’s were a turbulent time and I actually interpreted hearing this song as a sign from the universe.  This is what I am talking about in terms of Aquarius energy.  We do need to pull together during this crisis even if it means that we can’t be physically together.  Aquarius is also known for its detachment and affinity for technology, so don’t hesitate to reach out on your cellphone or computer to call, video chat, text or email others to stay connected.

On March 23, 2020 Mars and Pluto will be conjunct in 24 degrees of Capricorn. This is very aggressive, dangerous and combustible energy.  We need to be prepared for power struggles, ruthless actions and perhaps more lockdowns and shelter in place orders.  Frankly, this aspect has me feeling very scared and vulnerable because it is exactly conjunct my Chiron in Capricorn in my 4th house.

But on March 24, 2020, we have a new moon in 4 degrees of Aries. New moons are a perfect opportunity for setting new intentions and Aries is ruled by Mars, making it a natural warrior. Aries is a cardinal fire sign that is courageous and loves to initiate action.  It is also conjunct Chiron in 5 degrees of Aries, so it has a strong healing theme.  Hopefully this new moon will help us create new solutions for dealing with the Coronavirus and winning this battle with an invisible enemy.

This new moon in Aries falls in my 6th house of health, daily routines and service to others.  I don’t know about you, but my daily routine has definitely been disrupted and I am scrambling to adapt.  I also wish to be of service to others, so please consider either getting an astrology or tarot reading during this time or a distant Reiki session to alleviate your stress and anxiety as well as heal other conditions.
